Year 2038 problem ↗

Hello! Regarding your good-faith revert of the IP's edit, I looked at the visual and it seems (to me) like the bug occurred on the 8th second. However, I am not familiar with time computing at all so it's very likely that I'm wrong; I just wanted to make sure that "3:14:07" is the correct time, so please double-check the visual and inform me whether I'm mistaken. Thank you! <span style="font-family: century gothic;">'''x'''RozuRozu • '''''t'''ea'''c'''ups ↗''</span> 00:14, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

:As shown in the existing graphic and the intro paragraph, the "'''<span style="color:darkgreen">07</span>'''" second is the latest that can be correctly represented. Thus the reverted wording is correct, my coloring added here for emph: "the latest time that can be properly encoded is 231 − 1 seconds after epoch (03:14:'''<span style="color:darkgreen">07</span>''' UTC on 19 January 2038). Attempting to increment to the following second (03:14:'''<span style="color:red">08</span>''') will cause the integer to overflow" netjeff (talk) 06:25, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
::That makes sense, thank you so much! :) <span style="font-family: century gothic;">'''x'''RozuRozu • ''<sup>'''t'''ea</sup><sub>'''c'''ups</sub> ↗''</span> 16:42, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
