25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Npgeek73! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the ''meaning'' of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit ↗ for more information. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> Kj cheetham (talk) 18:00, 22 July 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :John Manard ↗

A tag has been placed on :John Manard ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=John+Manard|deleting administrator}}. <!-- Template:Db-notability-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <span style="color:green">Children</span> <span style="color:purple">Will</span> <span style="color:red">Listen</span> (🐄 talk, 🫘 contribs ↗) 03:52, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

About Draft:Lancaster Inferno Current Roster ↗ and Richmond Ivy SC Players ↗
Hello, I'm CostalCal! I see that you've been making articles about soccer player rosters in one page. I'd strongly recommend that you split these sections into articles, because this isn't notable to pass WP:NSPORTS ↗. CostalCal (talk) 20:40, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
:They are not notable on their own. This is the same as doing minor league players in baseball imo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Giants_minor_league_players as an example. Npgeek73 (talk) 20:45, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
Your Richmond Ivy SC ↗-related contributions
Hi! I noticed that you've been creating pages for members of Ivy's new roster. Some of these pages have formatting issues, and don't meet the usual standard for sportsperson-related BLPs. Please feel free to check out MOS:BLP ↗, and to use Shaye Doherty ↗ (with my alterations) as a base for any more articles. Thank you for the work! Ighs (talk) 16:49, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:Yeah i saw that. I was using some other USL 1 player rosters pages people have made as my base for starts. I am correcting the ones I have to match your style as I go. Npgeek73 (talk) 16:52, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you! In future, you may want to write articles in draftspace and run them through the WP:AFC ↗ process to make sure that they're up to scratch. Ighs (talk) 16:54, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

:i disagree there are men's soccer players with far less information that are up as 'notable' Npgeek73 (talk) 20:42, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
::Yes. The solution is not to create more non-notable articles. JTtheOG (talk) 21:55, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:::I think it is notable. I disagree with your assumption. Npgeek73 (talk) 22:23, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
::::I disagree with the whole
::::"Athlete Notability: To earn a dedicated Wikipedia page, athletes must typically compete at an elite professional level or in major international tournaments. Specific sports (e.g., Basketball Notability and Individual Sports Notability) have their own tiered criteria to prevent the creation of pages for minor-league or amateur players"
::::We want people to use wikipedia not decide to go somewhere else. But that is just my opinion. Npgeek73 (talk) 22:28, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::She ''could'' be notable, but you've only included her own college team's athletic website and an Instagram post as sources. You must know that's not enough coverage to warrant its own article, much less a WP:Biography of Living Persons ↗.
:::::I'm not sure I understand your second post. Which guideline is that? JTtheOG (talk) 02:24, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

BLP guidelines
Hello Npgeek73. I see you've created another article on a soccer player. Unfortunately, I don't see any evidence of significant coverage ↗ (SIGCOV) from reliable, independent sources, which is a requisite for Biographies of Living People ↗.
The only article even approaching SIGCOV is this ↗ one, which isn't even fully about her. Excluding quotes, there is just a handful of sentences covering the subject. I hope you would agree that it doesn't address the topic {{tq|directly and in detail}}, and I could even provide a full source evaluation if you think that'd be helpful, but I hope I'm explaining myself well enough here. Thank you, JTtheOG (talk) 20:39, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
