Anyway, you asked a few questions, I will give you a few answers. :)
- wikipedia.settings.tab.templates.changeparent (? - what is parent category?)
:::HD
:::DD
::::II
::and I clicked on edit Cat on II, it would bring up DD or HD. Right now "top level" catagories, i.e. HD and DD can not change their parent. I got to fix that. (submit a bug report for me so you get credit for the reminder). So now I have changed II to parent HD.
:::HD
::::II
:::DD
::So if I where to now click on DD and change it's parent to HD it now look like..
:::HD
::::II
::::DD
::Now if I where to click on HD (edit), there are no parent cat. So that word or DTD would not show up. Another bug report to send in to the bugzillia system is that if I know clicked on II, and wanted to make it a "top" level cat, it should happen, but it doesn't. If you could submit these two bug reports to the bugzillia that would be great.
- wikipedia.wiki.installcode (? - Intall code - how?)
- wikipedia.specialpage.sitesettings "Site settings" (? - unavailable on Polish Wikipedia?)
- wikipedia.specialpage.userrights "User Rights" (? - unavailable on Polish Wikipedia?)
:::Ok... userrights is needed. It's for someone with the User Rights access to quickly access a person's user rights. (Admin only). sitesetting I think can be deleted. I am going to make the change to the CVS. Tell me once you updated your DTD and I will change the polish DTD on the source code it self. --Shane (T ↗ - C ↗ - E ↗) 05:12, 20 April 2006 (UTC)
Re: Diagrams
Thanks for the education! I tried to output SVGs from DIA earlier, but they did not look good at all. I will try to use SVG's from now. Would be great if the authors of DIA could just fix the export, though :) Klem fra Nils Grimsmo 05:44, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
:* As noted ↗ by User:Mitja, there should be a link from the node with path "A" to the root in the figure in the Suffix tree ↗ article. I am having trouble getting the SVG exported from DIA to look okay. Could you fix it? Do you know any other free drawing programs, which have proper output? Klem fra Nils Grimsmo 13:35, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
I read about your zero section edit script
Didn't test it (I don't know polish and am a bit hurried :) but I think it's a good idea. Sometimes it can be needed.
Yeah, I know I haven't said much, but well. I have nothing more to say. <small>—The preceding unsigned ↗ comment was added by Nethac DIU (talk • contribs ↗) 23:47, 9 February 2007 (UTC).</small><!-- HagermanBot Auto-Unsigned -->
Invitation to events in June and July: bot, script, template, and Gadget makers wanted
I invite you to the yearly Berlin hackathon ↗, 1-3 June. Registration is now open ↗. If you need financial assistance or help with visa or hotel, then please register by May 1st and mention it in the registration form ↗.
This is the premier event for the MediaWiki and Wikimedia technical community. We'll be hacking, designing, teaching, and socialising, primarily talking about ResourceLoader ↗ and Gadgets (extending functionality with JavaScript ↗), the switch to Lua for templates ↗, Wikidata ↗, and Wikimedia Labs ↗.
We want to bring 100-150 people together, including lots of people who have not attended such events before. User scripts, gadgets, API use, Toolserver, Wikimedia Labs, mobile, structured data, templates -- if you are into any of these things, we want you to come!
I also thought you might want to know about other upcoming events ↗ where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, how to best use the web API ↗ for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC ↗ and our other events ↗.
Best wishes!
- Sumana Harihareswara ↗, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org ↗.

A tag has been placed on :OpenEdge ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Template editor granted
right|130px ↗
Your account has been granted the "{{mono|templateeditor}}" user permission, allowing you to edit templates ↗ and modules ↗ that have been protected with template protection ↗. It also allows you to bypass the title blacklist ↗, giving you the ability to create and edit editnotices ↗. Before you use this user right, please read '''Wikipedia:Template editor ↗''' and make sure you understand its contents. In particular, you should read the section on wise template editing ↗ and the criteria for revocation ↗.
You can use this user right to perform maintenance, answer edit requests, and make any other simple and generally uncontroversial edits to templates, modules, and edinotices. You can also use it to enact more complex or controversial edits, '''after''' those edits are first made to a test sandbox, and their technical reliability as well as their consensus ↗ among other informed editors has been established. If you are willing to process edit requests ↗ on templates and modules, keep in mind that you are taking responsibility to ensure the edits have consensus and are technically sound.
This user right gives you access to some of Wikipedia's most important templates and modules; it is critical that you edit them wisely and that you only make edits that are backed up by consensus. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password ↗.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.
If you were granted the permission on a temporary basis you will need to re-apply for the permission a few days before it expires including in your request a permalink to the discussion where it was granted and a {{tl|ping}} for the administrator who granted the permission. You can find the permalink in your [//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Log/rights&page=User:Nux rights log].

CategorySortKeys
Hi, I have been using User:Nux/CategorySortKeys.js for quite some time now. It works great for normal pages, but it does not seem to work for Files or other Categories within it. Is it possible to add the feature so that sortkeys for Files and Categories will also be visible? It will be helpful in organising categories in Wikipedias as well as Commons. Thanks! <span class="nowrap">—'''CX Zoom'''[he/him]</span> (let's talk • {C ↗•X}) 15:28, 3 February 2025 (UTC)
:@CX Zoom Hi, could you send some examples of pages where sorting could be improved? I'm not sure if I understand correctly – it will be easier with examples. Nux <small>(talk ↗)</small> 16:17, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
::A few days ago I had to edit the sort keys of a few categories on Commons: for example, :Commons:Special:Diff/992928622 ↗. I had to check sortkeys of each category one-by-one (and edit them where needed). It would have been amazing if I could check the sortkeys of all members of its parent in one go. However, this script only shows sortkeys for normal pages and not files or categories. For example, at :Commons:Category:Kolkata Metro ↗ the script only shows the sortkey for the one normal page (:Commons:কলকাতা মেট্রো ↗) but does not show sortkeys for the categories or files in it. Similarly, on enwp, if you go to a category like :Category:Cyrillic letters ↗, the script shows sortkeys for all articles and templates in it. But, it does not show sortkeys for the subcats. <span class="nowrap">—'''CX Zoom'''[he/him]</span> (let's talk • {C ↗•X}) 17:02, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
:::@CX Zoom It should work for most of the cases now. For subcategories it will only work on the first page for technical reasons, but I think this should still help. Enjoy :) Nux <small>(talk ↗)</small> 19:13, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
:::Oh, you will have to refresh cache e.g. by <code>CTRL</code> + <code>F5</code> or on Mac: <code>Cmd</code> + <code>Shift</code> + <code>R</code>. Should work in Firefox and probably Chrome. Nux <small>(talk ↗)</small> 19:15, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
::::It now works exactly how I requested it to be. Thank you very much! <span class="nowrap">—'''CX Zoom'''[he/him]</span> <sup class="nowrap">(let's talk • {C ↗•X})</sup> 21:08, 9 February 2025 (UTC)
