Edit warring, original research
30px|left|alt=|link= ↗ You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗. Users are expected to collaborate ↗ with others, to avoid editing disruptively ↗, and to try to reach a consensus ↗ rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.<br>
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring ↗ states:
# '''Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made'''.
# '''Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.'''
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page ↗ to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection ↗. If you engage in an edit war, you '''may be blocked ↗ from editing.'''<!-- Template:uw-ew -->
Please don't start edit wars across multiple articles. If you have sources to back up your claims please present them on talk. -2600:1001:B112:FC2F:5472:F39F:58A8:9D91 ↗ (talk) 22:50, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

:Style is important. It makes it easier for the user to navigate across different Wikipedia articles.
:Getting articles promoted to GA or FA makes them more likely to be accessed by outsiders. Wouldn't you like to see your articles featured for 24h on Wikipedia frontpage - both in recognition of your work, and educating millions out there on topics they might have never head of?
:Wikipedia extensive inline citations may seem excessive for one used to more sparse academic articles. But historians of Poland all know about Grunwald. How many Americans even heard of it or the Teutonic Knights? Whatever the fact, majority of people out there have little to no knowledge of it, and so we should reference even basic claims.

Images are hosted locally; what that means is that image on pl wikipedia WILL not work on non pl wikipedia and vice versa. There's an exception - interwiki project for global hosting of images, Wikimedia Commons ↗. I highly recommend that (if the picture on pl wikipedia is freely licensed) you downloaded it, upload it to commons, tag the with <nowiki>{{subst:NowCommons}}</nowiki> and than you can use the image on en wikipedia (and so can anybody on all wikis). Great work. There are however large parts that still need references, are you going to add them as soon as you are finished? If you are writing from memory or from a university course script, I could help you out with adding refs. I noted you are currently working on the Swedish war, I could add refs to that from RI Frost and P Englund - if you want me to, just drop me a note as soon as you are done with that chapter. If you are going to add refs by yourself, nevermind. Best Skäpperöd (talk) 15:40, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Good work; I do agree that the article is B-class. May I suggest that you make such notifications at WT:POLAND ↗, not just my talk page? One note: you add references to the end of paragraphs. Preferably (certainly, required for GA and above), references should be added to the end of ''all sentences'' (because on Wikipedia, other editors can move sentences around, add new ones in the middle of paragraphs, and so on). --<span style="border:1px solid #228B22;padding:1px;">Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus|<span style="color:#7CFC00; background:#006400;"> talk </span> ↗</span> 05:01, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Hey
Hey Orczar; I know you're quite active in work for early medieval Poland history; and youve done great stuff.
However, I think the Ukrainian origins of Slavs has been an unproven dogma which continues to be propagated by eastern European scholarship which still uses outdated and inflexible methodology. might I refer you to some of the works of S Brather regarding the origin of western Slavs. Essentially, we can colnclude the western Slavs originate in their respective territories, and not in Russia, or the Pripyat, etc (but without recourse to the also outdated and sometimes nationalist-driven approaches of the Polish Autochthonists)

Basically, the apparent depopulation of Poland at teh end of the "Przeworsk" culture was a phenomenon experience throughout all Europe in post-Roman period, although less so in the south (Italy, Spain, southern Gaul, Greek littoral). Assistance request neutrality dispute Haller's Blue Army (Poland) page
Hello, to resolve an ongoing neutrality dispute on the Blue Army (Poland) ↗ page, I'm requesting any assistance possible from experienced Wikipedia editors to look at the 'Controversies' section of the Blue Army page, and review the text for possible bias. I'm not an seasoned Wikipedia contributor myself, in fact I don't really edit much at all. But, when I came across the Blue Army page, I was taken aback by the blunt and inaccurate way in which the subject matter was portrayed! The list of possible neutrality violations is extensive, and due to my novice editor status all my past attempts to modify the text have been dismissed as being disruptive, and subsequently reversed:
Possible neutrality issues found on the Blue Army (Poland) ↗ 'Controversies' section:
'''Neutrality Tag''' is constantly being taken down without reaching a final consensus on the subject matter. '''Weasel word''' are used to create an overall exaggerated impression of the events in question, and others are used to cast doubt on anything reported by the Polish side as being legitimate. '''POV''' and the use of questionable secondary source references, which contradict primary source accounts of the events. In this case the investigation conducted by the United States envoy to Poland ↗ Hugh S. Gibson ↗ and his subsequent State Department ↗ report on the issue. The American envoy found that: many of the newspaper reports alleging antisemitism were planted by the German and Soviet governments, and had been inflated or even based on hearsay and confabulation. Also, the envoy reported that many of the "pogroms" were in fact food riots, where an even larger number of Christian shops were ransacked. '''Undue Weight''' specific events are taken out of context, such as: abuse of civilians during the military campaign by the Blue Army troops is automatically labeled as antisemitic. Thus, taken out of context, when in fact looting was not only restricted to jewish households.
In the end, I understand that this is a difficult subject matter, and that some of the troops did engage in open antisemitism. But, by breaking the above listed neutrality rules, the editor (Faustian ↗) who wrote much of the section, is creating a false picture of the Blue Army, in which the reader comes away with the bias impression that "Pogroming" is the only thing the Blue Army did.
Again, for a quick snapshot of the primary source's account of the events, please see the United States envoy Hugh S. Gibson ↗ Wikipedia page. And, thank you for any assistance in this matter. --68.191.79.36 ↗ (talk) 21:39, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

Welcome to the second issue of WikiProject Poland ↗ newsletter, the Monitor (named after the first Polish newspaper ↗).
Our Project has been operational since 1 June, 2005, and also serves as the Poland-related Wikipedia notice board. I highly recommend watchlisting the Wikipedia:WikiProject Poland page ↗, so you can be aware of the ongoing discussions. We hope you will join us in them, if you haven't done so already! Unlike many other WikiProjects, we are quite active; we get close to a hundred discussion threads each year and we do a pretty good job at answering all issues raised. Last year we were featured in the Signpost ↗, and our interviewer was amazed at our activity. In the end, however, even as active as we are, we are just a tiny group - you can easily become one of our core members!
In addition to a lively encyclopedic, Poland-related, English-language discussion forum, we have numerous useful tools that can be of use to you - and that you could help us maintain and develop:
- we have an active assessment department ↗. As of now, our project has tagged almost 83,000 pages as Poland-related - that's an improvement of over 3,000 new pages since the last newsletter. Out of which 30 still need a quality assessment ↗, and 2,000, importance assessment ↗. We have done a lot to clear the backlog here (3 years ago those numbers were 1,500 and 20,000, respectively). Can you help assess a few pages?
- *assessing articles is as easy as filling in the class= and importance= parameters on the talk page in the <nowiki>{{WPPOLAND|class=|importance=}}</nowiki> template. See here ↗ for a how-to guide.
- once an article has an assessment template, it will appear in our article alerts and news feed ↗, which provides information on which Poland-related articles are considered for deletion, move, or are undergoing a Good or Featured review. Watchlisting that feed ↗, in addition to watchlisting our project's main page, is a good way to make sure you stay up to date on most Poland-related discussions.
- you can also see detailed deletion discussions at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Poland ↗ (which is a good place to watchlist if you just want to stay up to date on possible deletions of Poland-related content)
- we have also begun B-class ↗ quality reviews on our talk page, and if our activity increases, hopefully we will be able to institute our own A-class ↗ quality reviews. As of now, we have about 500 C-class articles in need of a B-class review ↗. If you'd like to help with them, instructions for doing B-class reviews are to be found in point 10 of our assessment FAQ ↗. In addition to this automated list, you are also encouraged to help review articles from our B-class reviews requested list found here ↗.
- also, those articles will be included in our cleanup listing ↗, which allows us to see which top-importance articles are in need for attention, and so on. We have tens of thousands articles in need of cleanup there, so if you ever need something to do, just look at this gigantic list. (I am currently reviewing the articles tagged with notability, either proving them notable or nominating for deletion; there are still several dozens left if you want to help!).
- did you know that newly created Poland-related articles are listed here ↗. They need to be reviewed, often cleaned-up, occasionally nominated for deletion, and their creators may need to be welcomed and invited to our project ↗ if they show promise as new authors of Poland-related content.
- we are maintaining a Portal:Poland ↗

History of Poland (1945–89)
I asked you to refrain from over-using cryptic Soviet terminology which means nothing without a footnote like "right-wing nationalist deviation" because the same phrase was used in the preceeding sentence (quote): ''"nationalist" or other "deviationist" tendencies''. Put it in your own words, will you? And don't write nonsensical summaries... unless you didn't quite get what I said. History of Poland (1939–45)
Hi, Orczar. I noticed, you worked on History of Poland (1939–45) article every day non-stop for almost two months now since 24 May 2014. April 3, 2015 update
Hi, Orczar. You are the only editor contributing to History of Poland (1939–45) ↗ article since last year. You made the newest one thousand (!) edits since 12 June 2014 ... with only 4 small ''touch-ups'' by two others. I am troubled by the fact that in that period, you did not receive any editorial help whatsoever from our community. Meanwhile, the article has doubled in size; from 80,253 bytes on 12 June 2014, to 156,931 bytes today. – However, in spite of your unwavering devotion, the end result is troubling. A year ago I offered you a peer review ↗.https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Poeticbent&diff=prev&oldid=617318974 ↗ No further discussion took place while the article size increased twofold! I noticed, the readership has also grown slightly in the last 90 days http://stats.grok.se/en/latest90/History%20of%20Poland%20%281939%E2%80%9345%29 ↗ which is a good sign, but the problems seem to be compounding. – The massive walls of text without section breaks are impossible to follow comfortably. The blue overlinking got a lot worse, taking the mind away from the main subject at each sentence. The pipes are less and less indicative of the target articles. Constant digressions have little to do with Poland's history ... as if you tried too hard to pack your knowledge into too little space. Please tell me, do you still consider this article to be at a temporary stage? <b style="font-family:Papyrus; color:darkblue;">Poeticbent</b> <span style="font-size:7.0pt;color:#FFFFFF;font-weight:bold;background:#FF88AF;border:1px solid #DF2929;padding:0.0em 0.2em;">talk</span> ↗ 19:06, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on :Tadeusz Kowalik ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. <!-- Template:Db-notability-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Ethanlu121 (talk) 01:28, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Survey Invite
I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
Survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH?Q_DL=3dz0m2ubQw1KSnb_80J3UDCpLnKyWTH_MLRP_dnftxCjVj5Rq8uh&Q_CHL=gl
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 19:51, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

KPP ↗ article: no sources
Please include the sources for your information, preferably English but certainly Polish, or other language. No objection to earlier posts in content (your latest not reviewed), which appear to reflect a developed familiarity with the knowledge. Yet your contributions will remain suspect, and deserving of skepticism, without footnotes showing the sources. Elfelix (talk) 03:41, 20 December 2018 (UTC)
;Thank you, Orczar. It's not like the article was well-sourced to begin with, per tag at top. It was my intention to rewrite the article along the lines you've just described, sourcing it as I'd go. So happens, I'd surmise, that we both happened onto a similar task for this article at roughly the same time. Or had you been following the article beforehand, and saw my initial forays... ? It previously had a strongly slanted POV. Hope we can, in the long run, complement each other's efforts, arrive at a well-balanced result.
