Nicola Adams

Hello PatGallacher, I'd like to clarify my intention for changing the above article on Nicola Adams. She has mentioned in interviews numerous times that she is bisexual (and this was the reason for why she fought for a female partner on Strictly Come Dancing) so it was wrong for the article to mislabel her as gay. The cited reference that was already there does mention her bisexuality*, so that is why I didn't add my own cite.

Arthur Mullard

Hello PatGallacher, I just wanted to clear up the nature of my (now-reverted) edit to Arthur Mullard's article- I in no way sought to indicate 'doubt' regarding the allegations (as there's no way I personally could have any real knowledge of it), but wondered if perhaps the emphasis on his daughter's claims was too great given the absence of any other sources than the Sunday Mirror, which, as the Sunday edition of the Daily Mirror, is presumably subject to the same consideration given to the latter at Wikipedia:Potentially unreliable sources. Since you've reverted the edit I don't intend to try again, but I do think it a shame that no other sources- even referring to the allegations second-hand- seem to exist which would lend credibility to them, and more to the point, to the very insistent manner in which details of said allegations are presented in three separate sections of the article. Just wanted to let you know where I was coming from when I made the edit, lest it be considered that simple doubt regarding the truthfulness of his daughter's claims had motivated me. Thanks!

Removing another editors comment

Salutations. I see that an IP editor's comment on the talk page ↗ of 2026 Islamic Center of San Diego shooting ↗ was removed ↗. I can see how it can be seen as off-topic ↗. I found it odd, as generally one does not delete other editors talk page postings. But perhaps the IP editor ↗ is new to Wikipedia, so please see Wikipedia:Please do not bite the newcomers ↗.<br/>I also wanted to explain why I mentioned the removal on the talk page. I wanted to be civil ↗, with the IP editor, and assume good faith ↗ of their intentions; hopefully the IP editor will positively contribute to Wikipedia in the future, so I didn't want to quickly dismiss them.--<span style="color:#B22234">'''Right'''Cow</span><span style="background-color: #C2B280; color:#3C3B6E">'''LeftCoast'''</span> (<span style="color: black">Moo</span>) 01:21, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Cata Coll

Hello. I noticed that you had reverted my addition of the BBC reference to the Cata Coll ↗ article. Please, I would like to understand the reason behind the revert, particularly since I thought replacing or supplementing a club source with an independent source such as the BBC would generally be preferable.
From what I have learnt on Wikipedia, independent and reliable secondary sources are often encouraged over primary sources like a club’s official website, especially when referencing achievements such as titles or trophies. That was the main reason I added the BBC citation.

If there is a specific reason why the BBC reference was not considered suitable in this case, I would genuinely appreciate learning more about it. I am always open to improving my editing and understanding of sourcing practices.

Thank you very much. Ampimd (talk) 22:29, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

The addition may not have been wrong, but it was added in the wrong place, at the top of the article. PatGallacher (talk) 23:16, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

:Alright. Checked it, I think I made that error when I was editing. I mistakenly placed the citation there too. Thanks for drawing my attention to that. Ampimd (talk) 23:56, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
