Disambiguation link notification for October 25
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Trumpchi GE3 ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page NEDC ↗ ([//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dablinks.py/Trumpchi_GE3 check to confirm] | [//dispenser.info.tm/~dispenser/cgi-bin/dab_solver.py/Trumpchi_GE3?client=notify fix with Dab solver]). Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Łukasz Kośmicki ↗

A tag has been placed on :Łukasz Kośmicki ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate ↗ how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable ↗.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=%C5%81ukasz+Ko%C5%9Bmicki|deleting administrator}}. <!-- Template:Db-notability-notice --><!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> GPL93 (talk ↗) 00:35, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
Łukasz Kośmicki ↗ moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Łukasz Kośmicki ↗, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable ↗, independent sources ↗. <small>(? ↗)</small> Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media ↗).

Deletion discussion about Charles Fox Canning ↗
Hello, Periwinklewrinkles, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Devonian Wombat, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Charles Fox Canning ↗, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Charles Fox Canning ↗.
You might like to note that such discussions ↗ usually run for seven days and are ''not'' ballot-polls. And, our guide ↗ about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with <code><nowiki>{{Re|</nowiki>Devonian Wombat<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code>. And, don't forget to sign your reply with <code><nowiki>~~~~</nowiki></code> . Thanks!

Requested move on 30 June 2023
'''Audi e-tron (brand)''' ↗ should move back to '''Audi e-tron''' ↗. 4 years ago, you said: ''"Audi e-tron" in current usage usually refers to the series production SUV. I think "Audi e-tron" should be a page describing the SUV. And the article about the whole "e-tron" product family, including concept cars, should be renamed to "Audi e-tron (brand)".'' The SUV is now already named as '''Audi Q8 e-tron''' ↗, so the brand series will be moved back to "'''Audi e-tron''' ↗". Please revert it back so it won't be confused to the users. :Hi. I'm ok with how it currently is: the page Audi e-tron ↗ is, since November 2022, a redirect to Audi e-tron (brand) ↗ and the Audi e-tron (brand) ↗ page was not renamed. But if you really want it renamed, you can start a discussion by following the instructions here: Wikipedia:RSPM#Requesting_a_single_page_move ↗ (to start a discussion you should put a specific code in the source of the talk page of the Audi e-tron (brand) article; if you only added a new section to the talk page of that article, it does not have the same effect). :::: {{Ping|QEnigma}} Just FYI, I expanded the article a bit, then went ahead and just moved the page back to mainspace (didn't have that option a few hours ago due to a redirect page). Now it's a stub with contents similar to the one on the French Wikipedia, though not a full article like the one on the Norwegian Wikipedia. Periwinklewrinkles (talk) 19:21, 8 October 2025 (UTC)

Unsigned comment at the "November 2025 Israeli attack in Beirut" ITN nomination
<s>Hi! I noticed you forgot to sign {{Diff|Wikipedia:In_the_news/Candidates|1323930469|prev|your comment|diffonly=yes}} in the ''November 2025 Israeli attack in Beirut'' ITN nomination. Normally, I'd just add the unsigned template ↗ to resolve this issue myself, however, since I'm not Extended Confirmed myself, I am barred to do so. I was wondering if you could resolve this issue either by adding the template ({<nowiki />{subst:Unsigned|Periwinklewrinkless|15:57, 24 November 2025 (UTC)}}) or just adding a normal signature to it. </s> Issue have been resolved.

Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to ''' the Arab–Israeli conflict ↗''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.

Leads and warboxes
Hello,
We might be having a problem. Leads need to represent what's on the page. If you want to add something to the lead, it needs to be on the page first. There is no need to cite anything we write in leads: everything is already on the page.
Same for warboxes. They need to represent information we can already gather by reading the page. They also need to be in a summary format. Most of the information in them don't require accompanying citations.
Also, please take care of reading the talk pages. You're quarrelling over stuff that has already been explained. Selbstporträt (talk) 17:35, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:Selbstporträt, comparing what you're saying with my recent edits, I see one possible overlap - the part about war crimes in the lead (a part which I want to keep) was sourced but apparently did not reappear in the rest of the article, and it should. This is the only case where the issue of keeping the lead citation-free is related to my edits.
:Not sure where you're getting the rest of it. Especially the part about quarreling about things that were already explained on the talk page. My edits on 7 July were about restoring the following things to the lead: 1) the issue of war crimes/crimes against humanity (the only one where I added citations to the lead), 2) the death toll and attribution of the deaths to Israeli strikes, 3) the Trump-announced ceasefire on 19 June, 4) the demolitions, and 5) the framework deal.
:I checked and these things were clearly not discussed anywhere on the talk page when they were removed. Or when they were restored by me. Only the general desire to keep the lead under 400 words (and citation-free) was discussed - but not which information should be cut down. Periwinklewrinkles (talk) 23:16, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
::The point is not to de-emphasize the humanitarian crisis. On the contrary. There should be a whole subsection on it! But the fact that it has been mentioned once or twice is too thin.
::There is one "crime" on the page, and it's in the Iran–Israel conflict box. There are six "humanitarian" on the page. The first one is supported by an FP piece that doesn't mention it. The other ones are international responses.
::The citation that seems to support the claim is an Al Jazeera piece. It has been cited three times, two for the 1.2M number, and one for the claim that "the displacement in Lebanon has been called one of the most severe and fastest-growing refugee crises worldwide". The "has been called" is moot: by whom? Reading the piece reveals why we don't say: Duggal is from AJ Labs interactive's team. The other citation is the Conversation piece about the fact that Lebanon is using the crisis to postpone election. Too indirect to support much.
::So at best for now we could say that some countries called it a looming humanitarian crisis. We should move these responses either in the Impact and casualties section, or after it. Two-headed sections usually indicate indecision. We should separate the two, and create a Socio-political impact section.
::Here are some links that could help us build that section, if not by themselves, by pointing at resources that could help make a stronger claim:

::This is what I mean by we should build the page first. Selbstporträt (talk) 05:30, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Selbstporträt 1. I don't think that the crisis (humanitarian crisis or refugee crisis - there might be some difference) should be "moved" from the lead to the body. I think this information should be in the body of the article and in the lead too. There are solid sources on the number of displaced people (both at the height of the conflict and now), possibly better sources than Al Jazeera.
:::2. I'm against splitting the topics of those killed and those displaced by splitting the "Impact and casualties" section; right now it is about those killed/injured and those displaced, and to me it looks like a good place to put another subsection, about possible war crimes (which would mention *both* the killings/injuries and displacement, as in the sources to which the fragment about war crimes linked to). It's not like I'm against adding "socio-political impact" either as a subsection somewhere or, as you suggested, a new section. Periwinklewrinkles (talk) 14:45, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
::::"We should build the page first" means we should build the page first. First, put it in the page. Then put it in the lead. The reason why we put something in the lead isn't because it's been mentioned once in the text. It's because it's a major topic of the page.
::::I'm against *any* "A and B" section title. It's just a lazy twitch. There must some C that subsumes both. "Impact and casualties" would not cohere with a section called "Socio-political impact".
::::What we could have is a section called Impact, with a Casualties subsection, a Displacement subsection, etc. We should always prefer a lower to a higher level division. They inform readers better, and prevent wide-range coatracking. Selbstporträt (talk) 16:14, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
