Lain in State Template
Hi, I thought the template you created to list individuals who have lain in state in the US Capitol was a great idea. I made a couple of suggested revisions on the Template talk:Lain in State (USA) ↗ page. Obviously, I can make the changes myself, but since it's a new template that you created and have done most of the editing on, I wanted to reach out and see if you had any thoughts or feedback first. --EightYearBreak (talk) 15:45, 30 August 2018 (UTC)

James Duncan Lawrence (author)
Thank you for your entry and maintenance of this article. I appreciate your work very much. This author was my father. I am passionate about preserving and promoting his legacy. I particularly appreciate your effort to compile a fairly complete list of his work, but it is incomplete. If you have any interest in filling in the gaps, I would appreciate an opportunity to work with you.
I agree with you about more structured editing of Wikipedia articles and prefer not to make direct changes to your work. JDLawrenceJr (talk) 20:06, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
:Yes, I would enjoy that. Growing up, the Hardy Boys and Tom Swift were some of the first books that I read. That's why I created that wikipage for your dad.
:It is rough finding information on the web on him, so any help that you can give in pointing me to specific web pages, books, articles, etc. would be appreciated. RSStockdale (talk) 21:30, 19 January 2024 (UTC)
::I have his files / records, manuscripts, communication, contracts etc. I have a lot I can share. I don't know the best way to proceed. I don't know why, but I am not able to send directly to you using the 'Email This User' function. Please email me, if you can or let me know how we can connect. I look forward to working together. Thank you! JDLawrenceJr (talk) 16:14, 20 January 2024 (UTC)

Nikon Z-mount lens spec table - TTArtisan AF 23mm f/1.8 Z (DX) parameters
Hi! I noticed you filled in ↗ 67 mm and 74 mm for diameter and length, respectively, for lens TTArtisan AF 23mm f/1.8 Z (DX) in the Z-mount lens table. Where did you find this information? On a quick glance, I found a TTArtisan page that does not list the dimensions at all (https://www.ttartisan.com/?af-lens/AF23.html ↗), but after that I stumbled upon the TTArtisan official store (https://ttartisan.store/products/ttartisan-af-23mm-f1-8?variant=45181180280994 ↗), which lists the two parameters as 64 mm diameter, 62 mm length (this page has a figure with all 3 variants side-by-side, with dimensions shown for each version). These values also conflict with the values you added to the table. I just wanted to ask you and therefore clarify, to make sure we have truthful data in the table(s). :) Mandula (talk) 19:13, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
:I just noticed the next lens you filled in data for: SG-Image AF 85 mm f/1.8 FX: 77 mm diameter, 83 mm length and 380 g weight. Where did you find this information? SG-Image has no specifications on its site (not that I found, at least). Lens-DB has some information on its dimensions (https://lens-db.com/sg-image-af-85mm-f18-stm-2025/ ↗), but those values are wildly different to yours: "⌀71×91.2mm (Nikon Z)" and "390g (Nikon Z)" for weight. I don't really know what the source Lens-DB uses for these values either, but since they are so different, I thought I better ask you for your sources - you know, just to make sure data is as correct as possible ... :) After all, if we are not sure on these, and especially not sure that the values are for the Z-mount version (which complicates research a bit), we better not fill them in the table. Mandula (talk) 19:21, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
::: Thanks for catching this. I hadn't realized that there were the differences shown on various sites.
::: I have updated the SG-Image AF 85 mm f/1.8 FX to now show values taken from tZSystemUser site (71mm dia, 91.2mm len) (talk)

Camera draft
Hi RSStockdale, I hope you are doing well. I see that you are a big Nikon fan, but also a member of WP:Photography ↗. I was hoping you would be willing to help me with the draft that I've been working on for the Panasonic LUMIX S1II here. I think my draft covers all the relevant facts and is ready to go, but because I have a conflict of interest, I understand that I need a more experienced and neutral editor to move the draft to mainspace. I'd appreciate you taking the time to look at this, LRGino (talk) 13:07, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks for asking. But I would not feel comfortable moving the draft to the mainspace, as I have very limited knowledge of the Panasonic line of cameras. If I were to move it, I worry that any inaccuracies or misstatements might return to haunt me (not saying that there are any).
:As to conflict of interest concerns, I don't know what to say. I've created and edited many, many pages in Wikipedia with which I have a strong personal interest/involvement. As long as the creations or edits are truthful and not biased, I don't see a problem (I could be wrong, as I've never checked on this in detail). I had a quick look at your article. It seems to describe the camera and its features. As long as nothing in its descriptions is misstated or exaggerated, I don't know why you couldn't move it on your own. It seems to be laid out pretty well, and has ample citations (I glanced at a few).
:As a few small comments,
:* a pic of the camera would be nice
:* "S&Q" is not familiar - probably at least an abbr would help
:* "will work with" would be better as "works with" or "uses"
:* a link to the "Venus engine"
:* a reference to "June 2026" is odd, as its still a few months away

::Thank you for the advice! LRGino (talk) 09:09, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
Nikon Z-mount lens spec table - AstrHori 85 mm f/1.8 II AF params
Hi, it's me again, with a similar topic. :) I saw your edit correcting the filter size, adding length and diameter of the AstrHori 85/1.8 II in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikon_Z-mount&diff=1353800780&oldid=1353471197 ↗. I couldn't confirm or deny the three values you added, but I think the filter size is wrong, dimensions we cannot confirm. On the specsheet on AstrHori's website ↗, although the filter size is not mentioned in the sheet, all the product photos show a 62mm filter thread diameter printed on the lens itself, as well on the product photos of B&H ↗). While we of course cannot check the lens in real life to verify (at least I can't), I would guess that the print on the lens itself is right, in that it is a 62mm filter thread diameter. About lens body diameter/length: the AstrHori sheet explicitly says that the 72mm diameter and 96mm length refers to the E version. These values are just seem to be copied over to the B&H website, but for the Z-version as well, (likely) wrongly. Overall, based on this information I think the lens has a 62mm filter thread, and the exact dimensions of the Z-mount version we don't know yet. Of course, the body diameter might be the same for versions made for different mounts, but the body length usually is not. Mandula (talk) 19:40, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks for the query.
:I also could not find anything on-line, including on their website. So yesterday I emailed the question to the AstrHori Customer Service department. They emailed me back today with the details (pretty quick). They have the filter at 62mm, as you indicated. Both the diameter and length were correct also for the Z. And they provided a table that included the wt (441g), which I have also now added. RSStockdale (talk) 18:25, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
