25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary ↗. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary ↗, or by discussion on the talk page ↗. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief ↗.
The edit summary field looks like this:
{{Edit summary field/OOUI}}
or in the visual editor:
{{Edit summary field/VisualEditor}}
{{strong|Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make.}} When logged in to your Wikipedia account ↗, you can give yourself a reminder by setting {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}, and then click the "{{int:saveprefs}}" button.

Trivial edits that don't change the article rendering
Generally we avoid doing trivial edits that don't change what the reader sees. Your edit at Cairns Aquarium ↗ where you removed a space from the infobox is an example of such an edit (indeed, most edits that fiddle with the infobox layout make no change for the reader). Now I realise you think you are tidying it up (which is true from a contributor's perspective, I like a nicely laid-out infobox too) but a trivial edit nonetheless triggers everybody on that article's watchlist to review your trivial change and people tend not to like to have their time wasted on reviewing trivial edits. Now people might not get upset by one of these but if you do a lot of them and the same people are being asked over and over to review your trivial edits, then people will start to get upset. So a better way to go is to focus on making some substantial edit to the article content and, while you are doing that, do any trivial edits that you feel need doing at the same time. I note that trivial edits are different to minor edits (such as fixing spelling) because fixing spelling does make a visible difference to the reader. Kerry (talk) 08:37, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
:Thank you for your message. Moving forward, I will refrain from making cosmetic edits that are not bundled with something substantial. Rageking890m (talk) 10:22, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
Sid Page
Why did you edit Sid Page’s Wikipedia article? Where do I find the previous, complete article? Can you put it back in complete form, please? 🙏🏻 ~2026-37619-72 ↗ (talk) 09:48, 1 July 2026 (UTC)
