Welcome!

thumb|300px|Some cookies to welcome you! File:Face-smile.svg|25px ↗Welcome to Wikipedia ↗, Rand503! I {{#if: |am {{{1}}} and|}} have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on {{#if: |my talk page|my talk page}} or by typing ''{{tl|helpme}}'' at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! {{#if:| {{{2}}}|}} I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages ↗ you should sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions ↗, ask me on {{#if: |my talk page|my talk page}}, or place {{tl|helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! {{#if:|&#32;{{{3}}}|}}

Cedric Hardwicke

Hi Rand53, Your contributions to Wikipedia are much appreciated. However, there are a couple of rules to follow:
Thanks. --Kudpung (talk) 03:10, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Hi! I placed a reference on the Cedric Hardwicke page. Hope that is what you requested! Randy 04:46, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Help

Thanks for helping out on the Hardwicke page. Wikipedia can be kind of complicated and I can see that you're still a bit unsure about all the various tools and shortcuts we can use here. If you're in doubt about the rules, check out the WP:Five Pillars ↗ TomA8 mentioned in his welcome above, your ''watchlist'' (see the button at the top of the page), and the WP:Talkback ↗ features - they'll save you some duplication of effort. If you get stuck, just drop me a line on my talk page and I'll help you sort it out. --Kudpung (talk) 05:34, 20 February 2010 (UTC)

Buffalo Architecture

I am going to start up a new page on Buffalo architecture. There are many buildings in Buffalo, NY, that are already listed on Wikipedia, so this would bring them altogether with links to their own pages. It will take some time to put this together, and any help is appreciated. Thanks!Randy 00:37, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:Harold Bradley.jpg

64px|left ↗
Thank you for uploading :File:Harold Bradley.jpg ↗. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright ↗ very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the '''license''' and the '''source''' of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a '''copyright tag ↗''' to the image description page ↗.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link ↗.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page ↗. Thanks again for your cooperation.<!-- Template:Di-no license-notice --> <span style="font-family:Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color:#4B0082;"><big>F</big><small>ASTILYsock</small></span>'''<small><span style="color:#4B0082;">(T<small>ALK</small>)</span></small></span> 07:40, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

{{{helpme}}} I am trying to find a way to make sure that the photo file Harold Bradley is okay. The photo was taken by a friend of mine who releases the copyright, so it shouldn't be a problem. How can I change the file to reflect that? I can't figure it out. Thanks! Randy 22:45, 24 March 2010 (UTC)

Architecture in Buffalo ↗

I moved your article to its new name, which is standard; see Architecture in New York City ↗, Architecture in London ↗, Architecture in Las Vegas ↗, etc. 20:16, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Thank you! Randy 21:54, 6 April 2010 (UTC)

Unreferenced / unexplained addition to Laurence Olivier ↗

25px|alt=|link= ↗ Please do not add or change content without verifying ↗ it by citing ''reliable'' sources ↗, as you did to :Laurence Olivier ↗. Before making any potentially controversial edits ↗, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗ and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Also, added material of such nature should be explained by an edit summary ↗.<!-- Template:uw-unsourced2 --> Dl2000 (talk) 02:00, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Oops! Sorry -- I meant to include the source. I will add that in the talk page. Randy 02:08, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

:Check out Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners ↗ for more on this. All the best.--Old Moonraker (talk) 06:58, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

Problem with your custom signature

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software ↗ has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

'''The problem:''' Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext ↗. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

'''The solutions:''' You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

:'''Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:'''
:# Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences ↗.
:# Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "'''Treat the above as wiki markup.'''"
:# Remove anything in the {{int:yournick}} text box. (It might already be empty.)
:# Click the blue "{{int:Saveprefs}}" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "{{int:Restoreprefs}}" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
:'''Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:'''
:# Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences ↗.
:# Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "'''Treat the above as wiki markup.'''"
:# Click the blue "{{int:Saveprefs}}" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature ↗. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures ↗. Thank you. 18:03, 7 September 2020 (UTC)
