F1 driver post-race updates

Hi RewF12012. Thanks for updating the F1 driver results tables after the British Grand Prix. If you do the same again after a future race, please remember to also update the statistics in the driver's infobox and "career summary" table. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a message at my talk page. Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 04:28, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Just a quick note to say thanks for all the great work you're doing adding F3000 results to driver articles. Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 11:21, 28 January 2015 (UTC)

Use of edit summaries

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi there! Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗.

{{The edit-summary field}}

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes.

October 2015

Thanks for your edits to :Alice Powell ↗. Could you clarify why the MRF Challenge has been placed in previous series, (along with the years) when the season (2015–16) is apparently still in progress. It would seem it should be in the 'current series' field. There should also be something in the body of the article to describe the situation and this of course should be reliably sourced. Please also note the comments above regarding use of edit summaries. Please update the article appropriately, citing your sources. Thanks. Eagleash (talk) 15:29, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
:I have changed it to the current series as Powell did not already have a current series. The sources for the results are from the championship's own page on here. I also prefer to just keep results and stats up to date, that's my thing so to speak. RewF12012 (talk) 11:52, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
::Good stuff. Thanks. Eagleash (talk) 12:16, 1 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open! ↗

Hi,<br>
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election ↗. The Arbitration Committee ↗ is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process ↗. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans ↗, topic bans ↗, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy ↗ describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements ↗ and submit your choices on the voting page ↗. Sophia Florsch

Does Sophia Flörsch ↗ look better with or without the tables of career history? CDRL102 (talk) 17:30, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
:I'm all in favour for results tables as you can see on my userpage and the fact that I update a lot of them, but as has been discussed in the past ↗ some series aren't deemed notable enough to warrant a table, in this case those two championships are below European Formula 3 in the motorsport ladder. Euro F3 is generally the lowest open wheel series that gets a table. The career summary only needs the driver's car racing history, as is consistent with every other driver that has a career summary table. The table in question also had no information apart from finishing positions for the karting and those karting events don't even have pages on Wikipedia. RewF12012 (talk) 17:57, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

results preps

Hello! Thank for table updates, but can you stop adding blank tables? It's poor editing and looks unencyclopedic. Please read Wikipedia:There is no deadline ↗ and add result tables after the finish of the first race. Corvus tristis (talk) 12:05, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

:I'll just hide them then, I didn't think it would matter too much as it begins this weekend. Regarding no deadline, I know I'm going to do the results anyway so it was just to save some work. RewF12012 (talk) 12:14, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
::I think that you are doing unnecessary double work. You can add the table which is already containing the race result. And it will simply take less edits. Corvus tristis (talk) 12:19, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
:::I can see where you are coming from. However for me, it is easier to mass rollout a copy/paste table with small changes to the Team/Car and then once the result is in only have to put the colour and a couple of numbers in. RewF12012 (talk) 12:33, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
::::Okay. I understand your position, hiding will be a compromise. Corvus tristis (talk) 12:37, 21 April 2017 (UTC)

Complete FIA Formula 3 Championship results

Hi, I think we should have some sort of explanation in driver articles what do "FEA" and "SPR" mean. Pelmeen10 (talk) 08:56, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :André Lotterer ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

:All that message when you could have just said I forgot to type an underscore? That was my bad, but I wasn't using a template per se. I was only re-adding the current team line. And do you really have to sound so patronising? RewF12012 (talk) 14:27, 22 April 2026 (UTC)
::You made a mistake, I took the time to not only fix your error, but to inform you of said error. The fact that you find that information patronizing says a lot more about you as an editor and a member of the Wiki community. In the future, the proper response is {{tq|oops! My bad. I'll be sure to actually check my work by using the preview function as you suggested}}. :::Yes it tells you I'm a human being capable of making mistakes and owning up to them which I did. What I find patronising is the fact that instead of saying something along the lines of -"Hey, I noticed you made a small mistake here. You've missed out an underscore so the information you changed didn't actually show up. I've fixed that for you, no big deal, just letting you know for the future." Instead you decided to come straight to my talk page and use wiki jargon and then act as if I don't know what the preview button does before you actually fixed the small issue. Let's be clear here, I am thankful you corrected the honest mistake, the potentially one mistake out of eighty edits I made that day. But remember we're volunteers giving up our time to do something we enjoy and as soon as people act like this is a job and feel the need to micromanage other volunteers then it no longer becomes enjoyable and it puts people off. You are correct, this is a community, but it's not a workplace. We're all equals here. We all deserve respect and to not be spoken down to in regards to perceived editor skill level. Especially considering the edit did not break the page. Of course, this is only my opinion and how I feel as a fellow fourteen year editor. You're free to take my opinion as you wish. Please continue to enjoy your time here. RewF12012 (talk) 11:17, 25 April 2026 (UTC)
::::You need to chill the heck out. I informed you of a mistake so that you could learn. No one is patronizing you. You are getting offended over a polite reminder to preview your edits. If you are going to get all worked up over a gentle attempt to help you, perhaps Wikipedia is not the community for you. Just a heads-up

Hi, hope you're well. Thanks for all the work you do updating driver records. As a heads-up, when listing class results in GTWC Europe we type out just the class name without Cup, e.g. "Silver" as opposed to "Silver Cup". You can see this in Aurélien Panis ↗ and Gilles Magnus ↗'s previous seasons. Take care! MSport1005 (talk) 03:02, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, no worries. Guess the format changed in between seasons/when I edited it last year. RewF12012 (talk) 14:30, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
