What is "Barrett"? El_C 09:09, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
I was referring to the World Christian Encyclopedia, 2nd ed. of which Barrett was the first author.

Dear Riccardo Riccioni,
I hope this reaches you without any problems or delay. I am Manfred Ewel, the author of the article on the dinosaurs of Tendaguru that you had the kindness to work on in Kiswahili. I met Vaillant Weza some time ago in Kinshasa, where I was staying for personal reasons. As he learned his Kiswahili in Bukova in Eastern Congo, he agreed to translate my English text into Kiswahili, and I am very glad you - and I believe another co-author in Dar es Salaam, went over it. - Thans also for your excellent article on Tendaguru with the pictures and references I found very useful. (As I am still waiting for a Wikipedia volunteer in Germany to give me permission to use the original title image for the booklet, I have added your photos today to our article on the dinosaur booklet.)
As you understood from the article, my aim in helping to produce this booklet in 1998 was to make the information about the dinosaur fossils from Tendaguru available in Kiswahili, and for young readers who are usually very interested in such information. At the time, I was director of the German Cultural Centre in Dar, and even after many years, I like this project a lot. - As the international discussion about restitution of culural heritage from European museums has become more serious recently, I hope the National Museum in Dar will prepare an exhibition on these fossils, and the Museum in Berlin should at least provide copies of some of the fossils for public display in Tanzania. For this, a new edition of our booklet could be useful iul as well.
I understand that you live and work as a Franciscan priest in Morogoro, and one of the authors, Cassian Magori, seems to be professor at the department of medicine in Morogoro. Actually, it was his younger colleague Charles Saanane, who wrote the text for our booklet together with a literary writer for young people. If you would like to receive scanned copies of the individual pages of our booklet with the illustratioons and text in Kiswahili, I would be happy to send them to your direct email address. (Mine is manfredewel@outlook.com)
Grazie mille e saluti cordiali
Manfred

Saints' days
Hello there, I've just come across several instances where you've changed the date of a saint's feast day, citing the page Roman Martyrology ↗. There are two issues here: the Roman Martyrology article doesn't mention the subjects of these articles, and also a Wiki article can't be used as a reference.
If these dates need updating, you are of course welcome to do so, but you'll need to provide a better reference. If I can help with anything, just let me know. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 22:13, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

Hi there,
I have reverted your edit to Same-sex marriage ↗ because you seem to be misunderstanding the meaning of the sentence. It is specifying SSM prominent opponents – specific religions may, to varying degrees, oppose but they are not the most notable.

Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas ↗
You are invited to participate in the '''Destubathon of the Americas ↗''', a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to £2000 ($2680) in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon!
