Bridge in html+css

I can't (mostly) get the printing to work any better than your example, but in goofing around with it to try to get something to work, I at least produced a cleaner, table-free version in modern HTML+CSS, which should be more maintainable for you. Google Code-In ↗, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
