National varieties of English
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. In a recent edit to the page :Sydney Grammar School ↗, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English ↗ in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English ↗. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English ↗. For something related to another English-speaking country ↗, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan, use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the ''first'' author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style ↗. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-engvar --> Meters (talk) 04:17, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 26
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kevin Weldon ↗, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ingham ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 07:55, 26 November 2024 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗, such as the edit(s) you made to :Alfred A. Thorne ↗, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted ↗. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines ↗. You can find information about these at our welcome page ↗ which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia ↗. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page ↗. A note on on edit summaries
Just a note that you don't have to append "please undo if necessary" to nearly all your edit summaries. It's not helpful and can cause a lot of your edit summaries (when looked at from contribs) to blend together. Sarsenet (talk) 07:41, 4 February 2025 (UTC)
:Relatedly, you don't need to identify the exact location from which you removed "a space"-- it is actually too specific to be helpful. Drew Stanley (talk) 05:04, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
::Also, it tends to be disruptive to remove spaces when you are just collapsing multiple spaces to a single space. Html does that automatically, and it makes no difference to the presentation of the article. A space between a period and a ref tag is different or in the middle of a word is of course different, and should be removed. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 06:04, 24 September 2025 (UTC)

:I have just reviewed your recent edits and have reverted over 50 instances of overlinking ↗, in the past 2 weeks alone. This is very tiring and I don't feel like continuing right now. Would you please go back and self-revert the instances of overlinking that you have added prior to March 31? CodeTalker (talk) 20:15, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at :John Saintignon ↗. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism ↗ and have been reverted ↗. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges ↗. Would you please stop this?''<!-- Template:uw-vandalism2 --> CodeTalker (talk) 16:44, 23 April 2025 (UTC)

Excess spaces
fyi There is no need to take time to delete excess spaces. Including double (or quintuple) spaces after full stop. "The system" takes care of it so they are not displayed live. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 09:22, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
