Magic in links

Hi Slavxe,

Thanks for adding links to the Ionic liquid ↗ article. Wiki markup has a magic trick that make those things simpler...any letters directly after the link (no space or punctuation) is automatically treated as part of the link-text. Compare:
I built on your edit to use that feature. DMacks (talk) 01:11, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

:Thanks for letting me know. I wasn't aware of this since I usually add links using the visual editor. It would be nice if this was added as the default behavior in visual editor. Slavxe (talk) 01:22, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
::Indeed. I gave up on visual editor for almost everything a long time ago:( DMacks (talk) 02:08, 15 July 2025 (UTC)

Chembox molecular formulas

Per the infobox docs, formulas should be written with each element in its own field. As a bonus, that automatically calculates the molecular weight. Here's an example based on a recent edit of yours: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Allylpotassium&diff=prev&oldid=1307000639 ↗. The system knows every element's standard atomic weight (cited) and handles appropriate precision, so you can use that for anything that doesn't have isotopic enrichment. Might want to check if any other of your recent edits can be upgraded this way. DMacks (talk) 23:30, 20 August 2025 (UTC)

:Thanks for letting me know that is the preferred way. Slavxe (talk) 23:39, 20 August 2025 (UTC)
