Topological definition of continous function
Dear Sniffnoy,
Motivation for modification of :
suppose we have a function <math>f:X\rightarrow Y</math>, where ''X'' and ''Y'' are topological spaces.
To :
suppose we have a function ''f'' : ''X'' → ''Y'' between two topological space ↗s {''X'',''TX''} and {''Y'',''TY''}.
was simply to clarify that the map f is defined between the sets ''X'' and ''Y'', as opposed to only being defined between the topologies ''TX'' and ''TY'', which someone learning for the first time might mistakenly think.
e.g. see :
http://www.dpmms.cam.ac.uk/site2002/Teaching/IB/MetricTopologicalSpaces/2005-2006/L1topspaces.pdf

Surreal and surcomplex numbers
I got a notice that you had reverted my edit to Surreal numbers. In the section Surcomplex numbers within that article, I had linked to the parent page. That happened because I clicked a link directly into Surcomplex numbers, and did not realize that Surreal numbers was the parent (or, I might say, the container) of that section. When I read your comment, I was surprised that I had done that. I had to agree with you that an article need not link to itself.
Thinking about this further, I noticed that Surreal numbers is now quite a long article, so I now suggest it would make sense to give Surcomplex numbers its own article. Then it could sanely link to Surreal numbers. What do you think? You could reply on my talk page ↗.
