I have reverted your deletions. The Dhaka variety of the Bengali language forms its own standard. Bengali has two standards---the Kolkata and the Dhaka standards. Please look for references given in the article. Chaipau (talk) 14:36, 3 August 2023 (UTC)

Regarding Odia language varieties and Odia script

Hello Snusho,I feel pleasure about your interest in Odia language. Its my mother tongue. I speak Sambalpuri variety also known as Western Odia. Regarding other varieties of Odia include Desia Odia which is peculiar because this Odia is the lingua franca among various adivasi/Dravidian communities and Odia ppl in Southern Odisha. All these Odia varieties are part of Odia language and the soul of this language is Odia. Infact the manuscripts, scriptures of Southern Odisha uses Ganjami Odia and Desia (Koraputiya Odia). I know this because I have spent my entire childhood in Southern Odisha. So it's a request to not add Odia varieties into Odia script treating them as something different. These all varieties are part of Odia language, follow Odia culture and Odia Script. Most of the revolt for Odisha state on the basis of Odia language from Central Provinces and Madras Presidency are from our areas. Though our variety is different from what is mainstream Odia, but we still are an Odia variety and we are proud of that. Drpriyesh1 (talk) 10:21, 10 August 2025 (UTC)

:@Abrarward "Chittagonian Bengali" is just an alternative name of Chittagonian language/dialect. So, there is no need any clarification for this name. I think the current version of this article is more neutral. So, please don't change it without any consensus or reliable source. Your source also don't support the statement which you added earlier.
