... for your excellent refutation of certain bullets (compare Maritana ↗)! Did you notice that Sibelius ''has'' an infobox? - Keep your stance in mind for next time, but better would be no next time. - Season's greetings will appear on my talk, stay tuned if interested ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:07, 19 December 2021 (UTC)
Alfonso Soriano
I was looking on his page. It doesn't say world series champion for '99 and 2000. Just thought that was odd. JohnnyHighRise (talk) 18:50, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
:{{u|JohnnyHighRise}} That's because Soriano was not on the Yankees' rosters during either World Series, hence why he did not play and is not listed among the world champions in those years. Songwaters (talk) 19:37, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
That shouldn't matter. Jorge Soler, Jason Hammel,Munenori Kawasaki all got a world series ring. They even celebrated with the cubs in 2016. No matter what players added to a ML roster before September 1st are eligible for a world series ring. JohnnyHighRise (talk) 20:52, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
:{{u|JohnnyHighRise}}: I'm afraid it does matter. Just because someone gets a World Series ring doesn't mean they're official world champions. They have to have appeared on their team's postseason roster. I'm not the right person to complain to about this; please go to WikiProject Baseball ↗ if you want this to change. Songwaters (talk) 22:15, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
I just figured I'd tell someone the info was missing. Like I said with the 3 players I named with the 2016 cubs. They didn't appear on the postseason roster. They still won a ring. The perfect example is jorge soler. He wasn't on the roster but he's a 2x world series champion JohnnyHighRise (talk) 02:45, 26 December 2021 (UTC)
Splash hit
Why did you deleted the reference to "splash hit?" It is both RS-supported. And there is a link on wp for it. Why do you object to that, and insist on changing it, with substituted descriptive language? It is neither arcane, nor incorrect. Thanks. --2603:7000:2143:8500:4F3:7CF2:63B3:EC19 ↗ (talk) 02:05, 28 May 2022 (UTC)
:Home runs hit into McCovey Cove are only splash hits if a '''''Giants''''' player hits it; therefore, it is impossible to record a "splash hit" as both a Giants player and a visiting player. When he hit the home run as a Dodger, it was a home run, but not a splash hit. Songwaters (talk) 02:53, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

Apostrophe in We Didn't Start The Fire (Fall Out Boy) ↗
hey there! since the title of the cover song uses a curly apostrophe, not a straight one, I don't think the move would be covered by MOS:CURLY ↗. Is there a part of the guideline I'm missing? theleekycauldron ↗ (talk ↗ • contribs ↗) (she/her) 06:17, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
:{{ping|theleekycauldron}} I don't see an exception for songs with the curly apostrophe in the title on the album/single cover. We don't apply that to What's Going On ↗, (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction ↗ or Maxwell's Silver Hammer ↗. Songwaters (talk) 14:36, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
::those songs are titled with curly apostrophes? if so, Spotify's overwritten them. The ACLU of Hawai‘i ↗ article does use a curly (inverted) apostrophe – I would think that common sense is that COMMONNAME policy supersedes CURLY guidelines in the general case. theleekycauldron ↗ (talk ↗ • contribs ↗) (she/her) 07:34, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

September 2024
25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :Darren Baker (baseball) ↗. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move ↗", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is legally required for attribution ↗. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits ↗, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu ↗ for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove --> – Muboshgu (talk) 21:31, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
:{{ping|Muboshgu}} My apologies. I tried to find out how to switch a page and its redirect properly beforehand, but I just kept confusing myself. I don't blame anyone else; it's probably just my own incompetent reading and impatience. However, I still believe the baseball player should be the default for "Darren Baker". 2025 (oakland) athletics season
Hello Songwaters! I saw that you made the 2025 athletics season article, however I already made the oakland article, if possible, should I redirect the article to your's or vice versa? Thanks! 45BearsFan (talk) 23:44, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
:{{ping|45BearsFan}} The team will be officially known as the "Athletics" during the next three seasons with no city in their name, so 2025 Oakland Athletics season ↗ should redirect to 2025 Athletics season ↗. Songwaters (talk) 02:00, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
::done, kinda make sense that a redirect from oakland should be made cause the generic fan might not know why the oakland athleics are jist called the athletics, glad we (and by we, i mean you) could come up with a resolution! 45BearsFan (talk) 16:40, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
