I also disagree with calling it the "Ryukyuan Kingdom", but again I saw the categories in respect to ethnicity as opposed to nationality since it allowed for more accurate categorization (i.e. before the founding of the Ryukyu Kingdom but still divided by century). I won't be surprised when someone comes along and tries to merge :Category:Ryukyuan people ↗ with :Category:Japanese people ↗ out of naiveté or malice.
