Proper mathematical notation

Hello. I noticed that in this edit ↗ you wrote this:
: <math> \sum_{n_{1},...,n_{S}=0}^{\infty} \varphi(n_{1}...n_{S}) \ \phi(n_{1}...n_{S}) \prod_{j=1}^{B} <-c_{j}+ \sum_{k=1}^{S} a_{jk} \cdot n_{k}> </math>
I changed it to this:
: <math> \sum_{n_1,\ldots,n_S=0}^\infty \varphi(n_1\cdots n_S) \ \varphi(n_1\cdots n_S) \prod_{j=1}^B \left\langle -c_j + \sum_{k=1}^S a_{jk} \cdot n_k \right\rangle </math>
If you don't know how to code <math display=inline> \langle \text{angle brackets} \rangle </math> or anything else in TeX or LaTeX or MathJax, you can google "latex symbols" and find out. If the less-than and greater-than symbols are used instead of angle brackets, then you see things like this: <math> <a,b>=<c,d> </math> when what was intended was this: <math> \langle a,b\rangle = \langle c,d\rangle</math>
:
I also did some other copy-editing of your new section, and in particular note that WP:MOS ↗ forbids capitalizing an initial letter merely because it's in a section heading; thus I changed '''Mathematical Basis''' to '''Mathematical basis''', etc. Michael Hardy (talk) 23:23, 12 November 2022 (UTC)

:Thanks for your edits.TMM53 (talk) 07:21, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
:Hello, I made a correction to your correction. The <math> \varphi </math> and <math> \phi </math> are different terms; <math> \varphi </math> is the coefficient in the power series expansion (B.0) and <math> \phi </math> is the reciprocal of the factorial function (B.2, B.3). Thanks. TMM53 (talk) 08:08, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Lyot filter ↗, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Vector ↗ and Light intensity ↗. Such links are usually incorrect ↗, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. <small>(Read the FAQ{{*}} Join us at the DPL WikiProject ↗.)</small>

Sandbox

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, TMM53, I'm Bearcat. Please note that pages in your personal sandbox, such as User:TMM53/sandbox/Asymptotic expansion 2026-02-28, are '''not''' allowed to be categorized alongside finished articles in mainspace, per WP:USERNOCAT ↗. The page ''must'' stay ''out'' of any categories so long as it is outside mainspace, and this is ''not'' an optional rule that you're free to disregard or ignore.

You can provisionally list categories in your draft without affecting content categories by using one of the methods described here ↗.

As the page has had to be pulled out of categories twice in two weeks, ''do not'' readd it to categories again, because draft and sandbox pages are not allowed to be in content categories. Note as well that there can be consequences for disruption ↗ if it doesn't stop, such as page protection ↗ or deletion ↗ and/or the temporary or permanent suspension ↗ of your editing privileges.<!-- Template:Uw-draftnocat --> Bearcat (talk) 03:09, 6 July 2026 (UTC)
