30px|left|alt=Stop icon ↗ Your recent editing history at :Turn Left (Doctor Who) ↗ shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war ↗. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page ↗ to work toward making a version that represents consensus ↗ among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD ↗ for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection ↗.

'''Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing ↗'''—especially if you violate the three-revert rule ↗, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts ↗ on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—'''even if you don't violate the three-revert rule'''—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
-- User:Edokter ↗ {{talk}}
08:09, 18 April 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned ↗ comment added by Mistoop (talkcontribs ↗)

Doctor Who timeline etc...

Hi there. It doesn't matter greatly what exact wording is used in the show. What matters is that the explanations given on Wikipedia are comprehensible to a reader who does not know about it, which is why "alternate timeline" is helpful while "parallel world" isn't. Pokemon

When you really think about it, the Pokémon themselves have appeared in every single aspect of the franchise, including games, spinoffs and anime, whereas Ash is an anime only character, so basically, aren’t they the main protagonists of the franchise. Kof4456 (talk) 14:44, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Alex 21's scripts

Thank you for sorting out all those long plot summaries. Short descriptions for Doctor Who companions

Hello, TardisTybort. I notice that you changed the short descriptions to refer to "Doctor Who" instead of the abbreviated "Dr Who", and I understand your reasoning. You also moved that title to the end of the short description. However, you should be aware that on many devices the short descriptions are truncated at 40 characters. The reason I originally abbreviated it was an attempt to give the most meaningful information in that 40 characters - it would read
"Fictional character in the Dr Who TV ser", whereas the expanded version will read "Fictional character in the TV series Doc". I figured it was better to truncate the word "series" rather than losing the most recognizable part of the title. You might like to keep this in mind in future when you "fix" short descriptions, and perhaps even discuss the matter before making bulk changes like that.--Gronk Oz (talk) 01:27, 7 June 2019 (UTC)

Sarah Jane Adventures

Hi, the end credits are sufficient for cast listings as per MOS:TVCAST ↗ which does not demand the opening credits. Also references are not necessary for obvious cast ordering based on the credits, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 20:13, 24 December 2022 (UTC)

:While this might account for Paige and Knight (post Revenge of the Slitheen) and Anthony and Mohindra, the full section you're referring to says: "Please keep in mind that though "main" cast members are determined by the series producers (not by popularity, screen time, or episode count) and generally have a set order in the credits." That is what the edit reason "Sources are needed for 'starring'" means, because the top of the end credits is just every actor credit with no break and no differentiation between starring/guest starring/co-starring (while the opening titles do single out "starring Elisabeth Sladen".
:I'm a little unclear about your phrasing but if by obvious cast ordering you mean how the stars are simply situated at the top, then this would include Knight, Anthony, Paige, and Mohindra, but exclude Armstrong (situated after the actors that play Maria and Rani's parents), and Leeson (bottom of the cast listing, not even a "with" or "and"). Keeper of Traken

What the hell are you doing????? ↗ Are you challenging me to provide an actual reliable source??? Or are you hiding behind the "vlog not reliable" to suppress information you could have otherwise tagged??? Are you a Who fan? Do you know the serial??? Have you watched it???? Anthony Ainley's debut to the show was in Keeper of Traken as Tremas, and it was symbolic because he was hired by the producers in order to play The Master, and came to do so at the very end of the fourth episode. The viewer saw this. So when he reappeared as the Master in the following serial Logopolis ↗, the viewer '''already knew this''', yet even the fictional character Nyssa, daughter of Tremas, still initially belied The Master was "her father". In fact this is so damn verifiable that it is acknowledged in the Keeper of Traken article. If you genuinely doubt my good faith based on some bureaucratic Wikipedia policy, then why stop there? You may as well remove the final passage of the plot which practically says the very thing which I repeated: "''After ensuring all is well, the Doctor and Adric depart in his TARDIS. Later, Tremas discovers an alien longcase clock, and is transfixed to it when the Master emerges from it and merges his body with that of Tremas. The newly reformed Master laughs as he re-enters the clock—his TARDIS—and dematerialises, leaving Nyssa wondering where her father has gone off to.''"

References in plot section

Hi. I noticed you were editing the Dragon Ball (manga) ↗ article, and I saw that you're editing the plot section in your sandbox and adding references to the chapters. I assume you plan to add your edit to the main article, but just as a heads-up: MOS:PLOTSOURCE ↗ states: {{talk quotation|The plot summary for a work, on a page about that work, does not need to be sourced with inline citations, as it is generally assumed that the work itself is the primary source for the plot summary.}} The vast majority of articles in the project don't include citations in the plot section anyway. I'm not particularly opposed to the practice, but I wanted to let you know in case another editor is and might consider removing the references for that reason.
