25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hi Thankubabyboca! I noticed that you recently made four edits and marked these as "minor", but they may not have been. "Minor edit ↗" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections ↗ or reverting obvious vandalism ↗. Any edit that changes the <em>meaning</em> of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you.<span style="font-family:Lato;background:#F8F5F0;border-radius:9999px;padding:3px"><span style="color:#DADED4">◉'''<span style="color:#3399CC">www</span><span style="color:#CC9933;font-variant:small-caps">Wiki</span>'''◉</span></span> 16:25, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Edit summaries

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia ↗. I noticed that one or more recent edits you made did not have an edit summary ↗. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary ↗, or by discussion on the talk page ↗. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief ↗.

The edit summary field looks like this:
{{Edit summary field/OOUI}}

or in the visual editor:
{{Edit summary field/VisualEditor}}

{{strong|Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make.}} When logged in to your Wikipedia account ↗, you can give yourself a reminder by setting {{myprefs|3|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}, and then click the "{{int:saveprefs}}" button.

South hills

Do you really think west mifflin is the south hills? You bring up an interesting point on your edit, about 51, but I feel like South Fayette and peters are more commonly grouped. I’m thinking about taking them out of the article. &#126;2026-37354-02 ↗ (talk) 03:32, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

:hii, i definitely do agree with you when u said that it's more mon valley, but the century iii shopping area is definitely more associated with the south hills than the mon valley as i've grown up in the area. that part of the area is more closer to other south hills areas like baldwin, brentwood, and south park township. i would leave it in the article just in case but that's just my opinion, you can do whatever you want at the end of the day to be fair. also with your point about south fayette township i would consider that apart of the south hills cause it directly borders bridgeville, collier, & upper st. clair and has easy access to a lot of the south hills amentities like chartiers valley shopping center in bridgeville and south hills village mall in bethel park/upper st. clair. i'm gonna add south fayette to the article now that you brought it up so thanks for that! now about peters township, i would say the inner mcmurray & thompsonville areas could definitely be considered a part of the south hills cause of it's easy access to route 19, but there are also some more rural parts of peters township that definitely align more with the finleyville area that are kinda mon valley-ish tho they're not directly bordering the river, but i wouldn't mind if you added peters township to the list of townships included in the area. Thankubabyboca (talk) 04:20, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi

I’m the original guy from your talk page. Thanks for editing South hills. It’s a hard page to edit because it’s subjective. South Fayette I think is probably the south hills. Carnegit probably is too. Almost everyone considers peters south hills so I agree with that, many people may not though because it’s Washington county. Wish there was an official boundary, lol. &#126;2026-38521-50 ↗ (talk) 15:51, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

:hii, sorry it took me a bit to respond back i was busy with a few things lol. the south hills is definitely a tricky area cause you never know what suburb is actually a part of the region, as some of the suburbs mentioned in the article are a bit more rural than the others or suburbs that look a bit too out of place on the map or whatever, i also wish that there was an official boundary so that it was easier to edit the article. i was mostly just gonna go with your edit ideas, but then i got to thinking about carnegie because of it's proximity to other south hills suburbs like collier township, scott township, and green tree. and the 15106 zip code being used by a lot of other south hills suburbs like heidelberg for example. but that's where i would draw the line when it comes to that, as any suburb too western or even northern of carnegie, like rosslyn hills or robinson township for example, would be too out of place for the *south* hills if you get what i mean. i can see why some people might not consider peters township as a part of the south hills, but imo peters is more similar to it's northern neighbors upper st. clair and bethel park than some people may realize, so that's why i decided to add it back to the article after what you said. it was nice to hear from you again!
