Welcome!

Hello, TriebelD, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as :User:TriebelD/sandbox ↗, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies ↗ and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable ↗ and have already been the subject of publication by reliable ↗ and independent sources ↗.

Please review '''Your first article ↗''' for an overview of the article creation process ↗. The '''Article Wizard ↗''' is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see '''Requested articles ↗.''' If you are stuck, come to the '''Teahouse ↗''', where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at our introductory tutorial ↗ or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia ↗ page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. You can also type '''{{tl|help me}}''' on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!<!-- Template:First article -->&nbsp;&mdash;&nbsp;Ingenuity&nbsp;(talk&nbsp;&bull;&nbsp;contribs ↗) 14:32, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :User:TriebelD/sandbox ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗
{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
A tag has been placed on :User:TriebelD/sandbox ↗ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement ↗. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.botanischestaatssammlung.de/DatabaseClients/IndExs/About.jsp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of ''information'', but not as a source of ''sentences''. This part is crucial: ''say it in your own words''. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators '''will be blocked from editing ↗'''.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you ''must'' verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials ↗. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission ↗ for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy ↗ for more details, or ask a question here ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. <!-- Template:Db-copyvio-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> &mdash;&nbsp;Ingenuity&nbsp;(talk&nbsp;&bull;&nbsp;contribs ↗) 14:32, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello, TriebelD. We welcome ↗ your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about ↗ on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest ↗ (COI). We ask that you:

In addition, you are '''required''' by the Wikimedia Foundation ↗'s terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. :Thank you for the comment and hints and for deleting my first trial text! I now slightly changed the subject of my first article. I will devote it to basic information on the very special system in botany and mycology called "exsiccatae" (published print works of botanists/ mycologists together with parallel distributing the cited and numbered herbarium specimens), explaining the history, relevance and current developments of this system without advertising the web interface IndExs for bibliography of such works.

Greetings

Hello! Your name is one I recognise from creating and updating many articles on fungi and lichens. Thanks for creating the article on exsiccata ↗; it's one I had been intending to start for a while, but hadn't gotten around to yet ... I'm very glad that an expert started it instead! I'll leave some links for WikiProjects you might be interested in: WP:FUNGI ↗ and WP:LICHENS ↗. Happy editing! Esculenta (talk) 15:50, 14 September 2022 (UTC)

:Thank you for your positive comment. The article "Exsiccata" is just missing images and the repeated citation of the same reference should be changed. Perhaps you might support and continue? TriebelD (talk) 09:53, 15 September 2022 (UTC)
:Hi, do you know why the Meebold wiki page (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Meebold) is added under related articles of the article exsiccata (smartphone view). Its only because he collected a lot of specimens now deposited at the Botanische Staatssammlung? He was a collector but not an editor of an exsiccata. Do you know how to change this? TriebelD (talk) 22:40, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
::Dear Esculenta, perhaps you can support our action to create the article IndExs - Index of Exsiccatae ↗ which will connect the article exsiccata ↗ and vice versa. Currently, it is proposed for deletion. TriebelD (talk) 15:11, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
:::Sure, I'll work on the article by incorporating some of the additional sources you listed at the AfD; I'm quite sure that these additional citations will prove that notability is met. Esculenta (talk) 15:45, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
::::Thanks a lot in advance! TriebelD (talk) 16:02, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
:::::Dear Esculenta,
:::::I just noticed that the article on Gerhard Rambold, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerhard_Rambold has "multiple issues". Can you perhaps help? Thanks a lot. TriebelD (talk) 10:16, 13 July 2025 (UTC)
::::::Hi! Rambold's article is in a sorry shape because the service that was hired to write the article did not do a good job. The main (but not only) issue with the article is the lack of secondary sources describing Rambold's work; the editor instead used many of Rambold's own publications to describe his research, but for Wikipedia, an article shouldn't be constructed with primary sources like this. I can pare down the article by cutting the info cited to Rambold's own publications, and this will deal with the "multiple issues" problem. I'll look for other sources to rebuild the article; I see he was in Kärnefelt's "Fifty influential lichenologists" (2009), so this and other similar biographical articles would be useful sources for a rebuild. I'll put it on my "to-do list" and get to it within a week or so. Esculenta (talk) 13:49, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
::::::FYI, I've alerted ↗ the "Articles for creation" noticeboard about the problematic articles submitted by this paid-editing firm. Esculenta (talk) 14:24, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
:::::::Hi,
:::::::that´s great. Thanks.
:::::::I found two other sources from 2012 and 2017 which might help:
:::::::https://www.zobodat.at/biografien/Flechtenforschung_Deutschland_Schlechtendalia_23_0001-0090.pdf
:::::::https://www.zobodat.at/biografien/Flechtenforschung_Austria_STAPFIA_0104_2_0001-0211.pdf TriebelD (talk) 21:27, 14 July 2025 (UTC)
::::::::Hello! I rewrote Rambold's article using secondary sources so that it's now in line with Wikipedia's sourcing standards. Perhaps you might be able to upload a photo to Wikimedia Commons that could be used in the article? Let me know if you have any questions (or complaints!) about what I've done. Cheers, Esculenta (talk) 15:51, 28 July 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::Hello!
:::::::::Thank you. For me it is perfect (I just corrected a broken link to a pdf), apart from the fact that the family Ramboldiaceae itself was not created to honour Rambold but as a nomenclatural consequence of a new taxonomic placement of the genus Ramboldia which was named to honour Rambold. So please delete the lichen family under Eponymy.
:::::::::I will try to get and upload a photo. TriebelD (talk) 16:50, 28 July 2025 (UTC)

Name drop

Hi! Thought you might be interested to know that you were "name dropped" in the new article André Bellemère ↗. Cheers! Esculenta (talk) 20:10, 20 November 2025 (UTC)

:Nice to see this article on André. He was a great person and we learned a lot from him.
:I just started a second round to publish an article on ITCER. I hope with more success than almost one year ago. Now there are two new publications and especially https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17446672 gives a lot of useful information on ITCER Site and the two NGOs.
:Might you have a look in my sandbox TriebelD/sandbox or should I submit the new text?
:Cheers! TriebelD (talk) 14:54, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
::I hope it's ok I copyedited your draft a bit (couldn't resist). If the "Ng'iya" referred to is the same as Ng'iya Township ↗, then that should be linked too. I think it's ready for submission. Esculenta (talk) 16:18, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
:::Thank´s a lot. I resubmitted it now. TriebelD (talk) 20:20, 21 November 2025 (UTC)
:::Is it okay that I have to wait now for more than 2 months for the review of this resubmitted article on ITCER? Is there no possibility to speed up this process? I personally see no conflict of interest. Cheers! TriebelD (talk) 20:49, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
::::I don't have a lot of experience with that area of Wikipedia, but hopefully, the reviewers will be less reluctant to review now that it has more citations and the notability is clearer.
::::I noticed you mentioned Ignaz Sigismund Poetsch ↗ in Körber's article earlier, but without linking (presumably because it would have been redlinked when you added it); please feel free to link all notable subjects when adding text (see WP:REDYES ↗). I regularly run a script that searches for and compiles lichen-related redlinks, and it helps me choose articles to work on (so redlinks are good!). Esculenta (talk) 23:06, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
:::::Thank you. I will do lichen-related redlinks in future. TriebelD (talk) 23:29, 27 November 2025 (UTC)
::::::You find under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exsiccata a '''redlink''' to '''Jacques Lambinon'''.
