Talk:2024 Israeli invasion of Lebanon#Requested move 7 March 2026 ↗

Hey there, VR – when you leave several different first-level bulleted points that start with "'''oppose'''" in bold, it gives the impression that you're voting more than once. In future discussions, could you please only use a bold '''support'''/'''oppose''' once per discussion, and preferably place follow-up general comments as replies to your first one, so that it's easy to read all of your thoughts at once as one !vote? theleekycauldron ↗ (talk • she/her) 00:37, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

:@Theleekycauldron thanks for the feedback. I definitely agree with the first suggestion as no one should !vote more than once and I've tried to fix this ↗.
:I'm not sure about the second one. I'm a HUGE believer in threaded conversations ↗ on talk page and I've always found the Arbitration method of "every user shall keep their comments restricted to their own section" very difficult to follow. It disrupts both the thematic and the chronological order of the conversation. If you want, I can expand on this point further? '''VR''' (Please ping ↗ on reply) 00:48, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
::No need, very fair! I also find it confusing sometimes too :) I would ask that if you're going to stick to the threaded format, to make it clear in the first sentence (and ideally first few words) that you're leaving a follow-up comment. theleekycauldron ↗ (talk • she/her) 00:49, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
:::Got it, like thishttps://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2024_Israeli_invasion_of_Lebanon&diff=prev&oldid=1347321506 ↗?'''VR''' <sub>(Please ping ↗ on reply)</sub> 00:55, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
::::I'd recommend something more like:
::::{{text diff|'''Strongly oppose''' moving this article to "2024 Lebanon war" as that would create a mix of WP:NPOV ↗ and WP:PRECISE ↗ issues (also see my comments above). The table below shows that most RS agree there was a war in Lebanon, but they are quite split as to whether the war refers to 2024 Israeli invasion of Lebanon ↗ or if it refers to Israel–Hezbollah conflict (2023–present) ↗. Most of them use the term "war" for the former article.|'''Follow-up comment''': I also oppose because that would mean moving this article to "2024 Lebanon war" as that would create a mix of WP:NPOV ↗ and WP:PRECISE ↗ issues. :::::Ok, thishttps://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2024_Israeli_invasion_of_Lebanon&diff=prev&oldid=1347405679 ↗? '''VR''' (Please ping ↗ on reply) 14:22, 6 April 2026 (UTC)
::::::@Theleekycauldron ok, after this ↗ (didn't see this before), I should only have one bolded "oppose", the rest of the bullet points being preceded by "Follow-up comment". Let me know if that resolves all issues.'''VR''' (Please ping ↗ on reply) 03:18, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
:::::::Yup, perfect, thanks! theleekycauldron ↗ (talk • she/her) 03:20, 16 April 2026 (UTC)

Peer review request (NPOV and due weight)

Hello Vice regent, I would appreciate an independent review of the article on Mirza Masroor Ahmad ↗ of its neutrality, sourcing, due weight, and overall compliance with Wikipedia content policies, including whether it appropriately balances Ahmadiyya self-descriptions with independent reliable sources and gives appropriate weight to significant academic, scholarly, and broader perspectives where supported by reliable sources. Q3YZFU5RM4X (talk) 08:03, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

:@Q3YZFU5RM4X I'll take a look. Can you explain why you reached out to me specifically? Please go read WP:CANVASSING ↗.'''VR''' 17:55, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::I contacted you because I saw you listed on the peer review volunteers page as being "enthused to do review on Islam-related articles. Can review other topics if asked." I thought this article fell within the area you had indicated an interest in reviewing.
::I appreciate your reply. My intention was simply to seek an independent review and improve the article, not to obtain support for any particular position. Q3YZFU5RM4X (talk) 18:23, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying :-)

Abella page

Hi, glad you liked my comment on the Abella page. However, after being templated and warned to revert my edit, I’ve withdrawn completely from the discussion. I’ve taken the Abella page off
my watchlist and won’t be contributing any further. Best wishes. Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 21:15, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
