Organized labour project

Thank you for joining the Organized Labour project. I've been a participant in the project since 2006 and am helping with a revival of it. As part this we are introducing a new membership system, which will help with communications among participants. This involves creating a membership file for each participant within your user space (you can see an example of my membership card here: User:Goldsztajn/WikiProjectCards/WikiProject Organized Labour). This system is already in operation within a number of wikiprojects (such as Women in Red ↗ and Medicine ↗). You will not have to do anything, myself or someone else from the project will create the relevant file within your userspace. However, I am conscious that it is not polite to change an editor's user space without notice. That IPv6 you've been reverting

Hi, Vif12vf. I see you have been reverting edits from 2600:6C50:7EF0:4A70:AC5E:678F:2922:B2D1 in several places, calling them a sock. It's actually even worse than that: all their text is lifted straight from copyrighted sources. Compare my warnings on their talkpage. May I ask why you say they're a sock, though? Do you believe they're evading a block on an account? Bishonen | tålk 08:01, 15 November 2023 (UTC).

I have encountered this person before, and last time I believe some of their IPs got blocked, although their IP-hopping is so extreme that it is quite frankly difficult to keep up with all of the IPs. ::::That's the contributions from 2600:6C50:7EF0:4A70:AC5E:678F:2922:B2D1's /64 range, in other words, it's more contributions from the same individual (a /64 range is just one person). I checked those before I wrote to Tiberius, Uncle G, admittedly a little superficially, but afaics, there weren't any copyvios there apart from the one IP I warned. I'm not sure about the socking - your explanation is a little vague, Tiberius - but the pasting of copyrighted material is very clear. Of course with an IPv6 you can never tell if they have seen or will see any warnings before they've moved on to another IP in the range - sigh - but I'll try to keep an eye on it. The reason for doing what I did

Hi Vif12vf, my name is GuesanLoyalist (Loyalist or GL if you want to refer to me by a shorter name) and judging by your edit summary at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Democratic_Union_Party_(Syria)&oldid=1321349385, I think you aren't aware of the reason why I'm doing this and this message is here to explain that!

In short: The reason why I added a border around the flag of the Democratic Union Party of Syria and TEV-DEM is because I think that they look more nicer for the article and looks like less of just slapping an image into the infobox (I think that I took inspiration from those Flagicons ({{flagicon|USA}}{{flagicon|Islamic Republic of Afghanistan}}{{flagicon|Australia}}) since they did have something similar with adding a border around the flag.)

Hope I didn't mean to mess up the article and happy editing!

It is this stubbornness which on occasions unfortunately have brought me into conflicts with others, not out of some wish to participate in conflict, as there are few things I find more uncomfortable, and I have gradually tried to work harder to avoid such things altogether. I do not wish to present these things as some sort of excuse for past actions, and I hope they do not come across as such. Rather than making excuses, I wish to convey that I really do feel bad about what was done, that it has been constantly nagging on my mind since mid november, and that I truly wish to contribute again, even if possibly only occasionally, or whenever anyone requests assistance. I dont really know if there is more to say, or anything I should say, and I am rather bad at writing endings, so I end with saying that everything stated above is meant sincerely, as I do not wish to make myself misunderstood. :That's my bad, probably down to language-barrier. As far as disputes go, I would try to avoid them in the first place. If a dispute were to happen anyway, trying to discuss the matter would be the rational first step of course, but if the other user is non-responsive, keeps making certain edits in spite of attempts to discuss the matter, or behaves in a certain manner towards me or other editors, then contacting an admin or reporting the matter to the relevant noticeboard would be necessary.
