European Trophy ↗
Hello! A question: Are you currently working on a new table and map for the teams participating in the 2011 European Trophy? I see it as too complicated to make a new one myself (and there are now four divisions), so I would appreciate your help with that. See this article ↗ (Swedish, but try using a translator) for clarification of the teams. Thanks, <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''Mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 16:53, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
:Yes, I'd like to do the new map and list. I am a bit busy this week, but I will slowly work on it over the next couple weeks. I am afraid it will get pretty crowded on the map in Czech Republic, but I guess we can squeeze the 6 teams on there somehow... Cheers, Wild8oar (talk) 18:31, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

European Trophy ↗
Hello again! Could you try tweaking the alignment of the "Č. Buděj." text and the "Bern" one in the map at the European Trophy ↗ article? They are overlapping the dots. Thanks in advance, <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''Mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 22:20, 17 March 2012 (UTC)
:Hi! Indeed, it gets very crowded now in Central Europe. I saw somebody made the map bigger. Maybe that's the best solution for now. Wild8oar (talk) 08:42, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

25px|alt=|link= ↗ Hi, and thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste ↗ move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history ↗, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be ''moved'' to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab ↗ at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect ↗ from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves ↗ to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen ↗. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-c&pmove--> --IJK_Principle (talk) 20:27, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
Dynamo?
What's up? I thought we were keeping the articles separate for the historical and the MVD-founded one?--'''Львівське''' <small>(говорити)</small> 14:13, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
: It doesn't make sense to artificially keep them apart. Currently (i.e. before my edits), most content was duplicated, including the most recent championship which was listed in both. Also, the current club is clearly called ''Dynamo Moscow'', ''UHC'' has completely disappeared. So I think we should use HC Dynamo Moscow ↗ for as the main article about Dynamo. We can keep UHC Dynamo ↗ for some information about the merger and the for the links relating to the 2009–10 KHL season ↗. I am willing to hear other opinions, but it seems only logical, as also all links to UHC Dynamo were renamed to Dynamo Moscow. Wild8oar (talk) 14:49, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
:: I'm with '''Львівське''' on this. This should be discussed before you just go changing everything on your own whim. Even the information you've included on the "merged" page is contradictory and makes things a lot more confusing. I've gone into greater detail on the UHC Dynamo talk page ↗. (saint0wen (talk) 02:37, 22 May 2012 (UTC))

Template:HockeyAllsvenskan Labelled Map ↗

Template:Elitserien Labelled Map ↗ and Template:HockeyAllsvenskan Labelled Map ↗
Hello! In Template:Elitserien Labelled Map ↗, can you remove Timrå and Rögle, and add Örebro and Leksand? Also, in Template:HockeyAllsvenskan Labelled Map ↗, can you do the opposite (i.e. remove Örebro and Leksand, and add Timrå and Rögle)? Thanks in advance, <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''Mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 21:08, 30 March 2013 (UTC)
: OK, done. I also changed the Elitserien template to the nicer location map. Can you check if everything is alright now? Cheers. Wild8oar (talk) 08:49, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
:: Yes, everything works as expected. The map you changed to is much cleaner; for example, I can clearly read "AIK" now. But the Kvalserien for HockeyAllsvenskan is still going on, and right now it seems there will be at least one new team from Division 1 this year. Perhaps I can return when that Kvalserien has finished, or I can try adding them myself? Cheers, <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''Mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 09:41, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
:: Sure, you can ask me again when you know more. Or you can add it yourself. The new template makes it much easier because you can just enter the actual coordinates (xx°yy'N etc) instead of attempting to place it on the map with trial and error. Wild8oar (talk) 09:48, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
KHL Expansion ↗
Hi, Jokerit joining KHL has actually been officially announced: KHL ↗ YLE ↗ (sorry, I had earlier a reference at IIHF with outdated information). So Jokerit can be mentioned in the article. Also, Medveščak will start playing in KHL in September 2013. You are of course right, this is a history section. Should these 2 teams be mentioned in another section, what do you think? --[boxed] <small>(P.O.Box)</small> 15:37, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
: Hi. Thanks for discussing this. I know that it has been announced in very certain sounding terms. But I have seen too many "certain" expansions of the KHL and most of them have failed, sometimes even at a very late stage. See e.g. HC Lev Poprad ↗ (the first attempt) or Hockey Milano Rossoblu ↗ or AIK Stockholm. There is a page about Potential Kontinental Hockey League expansion ↗ which in my opionion is the only place where it should be mentioned at this stage. But I am not the "owner" of the KHL wiki page. So if you really think it should be mentioned, I can live with an extra sentence in the History section. Just please formulate it with the appropriate uncertainty. 2014–15 Champions Hockey League ↗
Hello, Wild8oar! Regarding the team map in the 2014–15 Champions Hockey League ↗ article, could you take a look at the four yellow dots for the Swiss teams? Right now it's quite tight and I believe they can be more easily distinguished. Best regards, <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 13:52, 19 December 2013 (UTC)

Folded KHL teams
Mmm... I respectfully disagree. It's "uneven" because Lev and Spartak have folded. Re-adding both of those teams back to the organization table doesn't "balance" out the divisions -- it gives ''incorrect'' information, defeating the purpose of Wikipedia. I don't understand your point of "waiting for re-alignment" because if you took the time to revert a proper change, you shouldn't have a problem taking the time to move the expansion teams once they've been assigned. (saint0wen (talk) 22:18, 4 July 2014 (UTC))
:My concern is that it is inconsistent if some of the teams are already removed and the new teams not yet added to the divisions. In my opinion it should either represent the situation from last season or from the next season but not something in between. But I can also see your points, and since it is only for a short transitional period I am fine with leaving the changes. I might soon update the maps to be consistent with the table. Wild8oar (talk) 08:41, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
::I have to agree with Saint0wen here. Wikipedia should not be an advocate of incorrect information. It doesn't matter whether the divisions aren't balanced; it's just incorrect otherwise. <span style="color:green;">Hey</span><span style="color:red;">'''''mid'''''</span> (contribs ↗) 08:53, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
2014 Beijing ePrix
How do you know it will be 20 laps? I don't need a source attached to the page, but I would like at least the URL. Holdenman05 (talk) 06:07, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
: It says so in the official Formula E app. I also felt a bit uncomfortable to just add it without source, but I thought, I just add it an we add a source later, once it appears also on the web site. Or we can remove it now and add it once we have a citeable source.Wild8oar (talk) 06:30, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
::Falcadore changed it to 25 laps, but hasn't provided a source either. I suppose we'll find out on Saturday. Holdenman05 (talk) 08:22, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
::: The source for 25 laps is the FIA preview ↗. We can add it as a source or wait until Saturday. Wild8oar (talk) 09:43, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
::::Being the official FIA website is enough for me. Holdenman05 (talk) 10:58, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
:::::I had the same problem with the Berlin ePrix ↗. This series is really not well represented by the FIA yet.... Zwerg Nase (talk) 11:15, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
:::::The information is there, but it often comes quite late, sometimes even on the day of the race. I can only speculate why that is, but they are all new circuits, maybe they first have to actually try them out before they can determine the lap number for the race? Wild8oar (talk) 11:47, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
Distances covered by Solar Impuls 2
I have now measured the distances between the given cities myself using Google Maps -> right click -> measure distance. Is it ok for Wikipedia? About precision: it is difficult to give the leg distance to better than 100km precision by measuring distance between cities because the airports are usually at some distance from the cities. To give the distance with better than 100km accuracies we need to know the actual start place and the landing place. Bakkedal (talk) 15:23, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
Formula E in Switzerland
Well, sorry to bother you, but the source given by Vettelisthebest ↗, a Motorsport.com article, uses a pretty direct language, with expressions such as "will host" and "will take place" (not "would host" or "would take place"), that's the reason I self-reverted. However, I agree we need to wait at news outlets with a better fact-checking reputation, and more importantly to the FIA Formula E itself, there's nothing in its webpage about it yet. In brief, apologies if I messed it up, it wasn't my intention. Regards. --Urbanoc (talk) 11:01, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
: Thanks for your note. It does say "will host", but it says " will host, subject to ratification". That's an important difference, I think. Wild8oar (talk) 11:06, 28 August 2015 (UTC)

Group R-GT
the column is descriptive of the manufacture and no longer relates to the winning manufacture.
However, the manufacturers are directly involved especially in the case of Abarth ↗ and currently Alpine ↗. It would be good to insert this column. Of course you can answer me that it is redundant and that there is the name of the car that defines the winner. However, even if the manufature does not collect the prize it is heavily involved. : But it is still redundant (the manufacturer name is also part of the car name). I suggest you take this to the talk page ↗. The consensus (of 2, but still) was to "remove the column", not to rename it. Wild8oar (talk) 06:53, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
