Rebated rim on firearms cartridges

Rebated cartridges have a rim (R1) that is significantly smaller in diameter than the base of the case (P1). The 0.02 mm difference for the HK 4.6×30mm is not a significant difference.--Francis Flinch (talk) 10:18, 4 August 2023 (UTC)

Sorry, but yet again you're making a bunch of changes here and they range from trivial formatting to content changes, but nothing is ever sourced and much of it is just plain wrong. Gauge (firearms)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gauge_(firearms)

Dear Wingedhussar1503

I like to change the chapter Gauge Calculation and would write it as

Size of a Gauge https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Gauge_(firearms)

I have seen that you are one of the most involved Author of this Article and so I like to know your opinion.

Unfortunately the calculation of a Gauge as it is shown in the Article was never done in practice.

In my education I got also told that the definition of the Gauge is maid by this Ball of Lead but unfortunately this is wrong so the calculation is also not deeded Can you check my Size of a Gauge chapter if you are OK with it ?

Best Regards

Eliot Eliot128 (talk) 20:32, 19 December 2024 (UTC)

:@Eliot128 Hello, I don't see any problems with you changing the title and contents of the chapter to the "Size of a Gauge." I'll be looking forward to seeing what you have to add. Take care and have a happy holiday! Wingedhussar1503 (talk) 10:22, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
