A lengthy welcome

Welcome to Wikipedia. I've added a welcome message to the top of this page that gives a great deal of information about Wikipedia. I hope you find it useful.

Additionally, I hope you don't mind if I share some of my thoughts on starting out as a new editor on Wikipedia: If I could get editors in your situation to follow just one piece of advice, it would be this: Learn Wikipedia by working only on non-contentious topics until you have a feel for the normal editing process and the policies that usually come up when editing casually. You'll find editing to be fun, easy, and rewarding. The rare disputes are resolved ↗ quickly and easily in collaboration ↗.

Working on biographical information about living persons is far more difficult. Wikipedia's Biographies of living persons policy ↗ requires strict adherence to multiple content policies, and applies to all information about living persons including talk pages.

If you have a relationship with the topics you want to edit, then you will need to review Wikipedia's Conflict of interest policy ↗, which may require you to disclose your relationship and restrict your editing depending upon how you are affiliated with the subject matter. Regardless, editing in a manner that promotes an entity or viewpoint over others can appear to be detrimental to the purpose ↗ of Wikipedia and the neutrality ↗ required in articles.

Some topic areas within Wikipedia have special editing restrictions ↗ that apply to all editors. It's best to avoid these topics until you are extremely familiar with all relevant policies and guidelines ↗.

If you work from reliable ↗, independent ↗ sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP ↗ and WP:RSN ↗ are helpful in determining if a source is reliable.

If you find yourself in a disagreement with another editor, it's best to discuss ↗ the matter on the relevant talk page ↗.

Black Panther

:: The T'Chanda/Azzuri issue was resolved in a text published in the Wakanda miniseries, when Kirby did the Black Panther solo series, he mentioned T'Challa's grandfather was Azzari the Wise, but in a Fantastic Four story, the grandfather was called CHanda, later they saw other spellings like Azzuri and Azzaria, in Avengers Assemble, they called him T'Chanda (although Azzuri appeared in Ultimate Avengers 2), the text resolves this, his real name is T'Chanda, but his regnal name is Azzari the Wise.Hyju (talk) 18:45, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

Article on Daredevil

Hello. I just want to say that you've done a pretty great job with the Daredevil ↗ article. While not one of my favourite Marvel chracters, I have always found him intriguing, and have considered reading his comics. I don't have time for a GA review at the moment, but one think I will say is important for you to do, is to fix the source formatting, as that will be a huge issue during a GA review; and especially a FAC, if you plan on doing that. All of your citations to particular pages from a book need to use the "sfn" template; I've made a few changes in the "Creation" section, so that you can see how it's done. You should also alter the bibliography section to being akin to that of the Iron Man or Black Widow articles, using the "cite book" template. PanagiotisZois (talk) 09:44, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for your recent improvements to :Spider-Man ↗. I just wanted to thank you for your work on the Wolverine article, as well as the Daredevil and Black Panther ones; BTW, congrats on getting the former to GA status! :D I do appreciate all the time and effort you have put into these character articles. I did tagged all the untagged Marvel articles so far; I think the next step is cleaning up and updating the source sheet and the other sections of the WikiProject. ::::::We would need to make sure there enough active editors who would like to participate, because taskforces die easily if it's only a handful of people. I don't do tons of work anymore in the Marvel character space, other than gnomish edits for the most part, although I keep an eye on deletions and occasionally take a look to see if anything should be restored into article space if sources can be found. ::::::::I wish I did, because that would be nice to have an active team of people helping out with things like looking for sources or improving articles. One thing I could suggest is look through edit histories of various articles and see who is repeatedly working on multiple of them over a period of time in the last year or two, and reach out to those people. ::::::@ModlordD I'm not super tied to Marvel or Comics articles as a whole bar a few AfDs and a single GA, but I largely second BOZ here. You need to ensure you have a solid editor base to keep up some activity, even if it's just a few dedicated editors. If all that exists is one or two editors, I am not sure it'll be enough for a consistently active task force, though that's not to say maintaining it is an inherently bad idea. Things like you suggested above are helpful for ensuring other editors are more easily able to help with the task force, and that can propel growth in and of itself as you and other editors continue to work on articles on your own.
::::::That said, see who else you can wrangle up for this. I imagine there's bound to be a few other interested editors around the site, but I wouldn't know who they are. At worst you can try setting up a few small-scale goals and work up from there (Perhaps set some target articles to collaborate on, or begin work on a Good topic ↗?)
