Welcome!

Hello, Wxmdrgn, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Akil Wright ↗, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines ↗, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called '''Your first article ↗'''. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the '''Teahouse ↗''', where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type '''{{tl|help me}}''' on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions ↗ or ask me on my talk page. <!-- Template:First article --> Again, welcome!&nbsp;Kosack (talk) 08:17, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Akil Wright ↗

left|link=|48px| ↗

The article :Akil Wright ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>Fails WP:GNG ↗ and WP:NFOOTY ↗ having never played in a fully professional league ↗ or in a senior international fixture.</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Kosack (talk) 08:17, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

Updating statistics

Hi, please be careful to ensure you update all fields when updating both the infobox and career stats tables. In your recent changes to Wrexham players such as James Jennings ↗, Chris Holroyd ↗ and Nicky Deverdics ↗ you only partially updated some of the table, leaving the table with incorrect totals, and did not update timestamps in some infoboxes and tables, leaving the page with contradictory information. Thanks. Kosack (talk) 08:42, 4 February 2018 (UTC)

Infobox timestamps

Hello, I'm Mattythewhite. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions ↗ were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox ↗ of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the {{para|club-update}} or {{para|pcupdate}} parameter for club stats, or the {{para|nationalteam-update}} or {{para|ntupdate}} parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format ↗, use five tildes (<nowiki>~~~~~</nowiki>), or for MDY dates, use {{subst|mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page ↗. Thank you, Mattythewhite (talk) 17:33, 10 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources ↗ to verify ↗ information, especially about living people ↗. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Adam Mitchell (footballer, born 1908) ↗ article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 09:11, 16 February 2022 (UTC)

Hallo, Thank you for creating William Vaughan (footballer) ↗]]. When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie William Vaughan ↗), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find the new article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. <span style="color: green">'''''Pam'''''</span><span style="color: brown">'''''D'''''</span> 12:52, 15 April 2022 (UTC)

Andy Moffat ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Andy Moffat ↗, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable ↗, independent sources ↗. <small>(? ↗)</small> WP:NFOOTY ↗ is no longer a valid SNG, so GNG must be met. It needs several refs from independent, reliable, secondary sources to pass WP:GNG ↗. It should have at least 3 of those. Please remember that routine sports coverage does not satisfy GNG, and that interviews, being primary sources, do not go to notability either. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion ↗ of :Everton Williams (footballer) ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Everton Williams (footballer) ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''made handful of appearances. So what? we are not a database.'''</blockquote>

In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> '''<span style="background:#0a0e33;color:white;padding:2px;">Jay</span><span style="background:#1a237e;color:white;padding:2px;">Cubby</span>''' 02:49, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
