Linking countries (or not)
Hey there! Thank you for trying to improve Wikipedia!!
I see that some of your recent edits have involved Wikilinking the words United States in opening sentences, things of the format like ''Asbestos Snacks, Incorporated is a food manufacturer in the United States ↗.'' Thing is, we actually don't want everything that can be linked to be linked; that would be considered overlinking ↗. And if you click on that link, you'll see that major countries are one of the things that are generally not linked -- people seeing United States in the article aren't thinking "United States? What's ''that''?"
I've undone a couple of such links you've added. Feel free to save yourself that time in future edits! -- Nat Gertler (talk) 22:12, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks for the explanation, I’ll keep that in mind for future edits. Xcccccccc123 (talk) 22:23, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Adding number of years passed
In Wikipedia there is no "today", so manual adding years makes no sense. There are some functions for this, but I do not know it. I know, e.,g. for birthday: {{birth date and age|df=yes|1955|1|2}} --Altenmann ↗ >talk ↗ 22:53, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Before adding a category to an article, as you did to :Behavior Genetics Association ↗, please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines ↗. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable ↗ content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. ''please don't add redundant categories. BGA was already in a more specific category Scientific organizations established in 1970'' <!-- Template:uw-badcat --> SMasonGarrison 17:40, 9 May 2026 (UTC)
:Thanks for the clarification. I’ll be more careful about redundant categories in the future. Xcccccccc123 (talk) 05:22, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
::@Xcccccccc123Do you understand what the concern actually is? Because from your recent editing I don't see any change in your categorization behavior. SMasonGarrison 00:18, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
