The website of the late Paul Benyon (1940-2019)
Hi there,
When Paul passed away, his website was preserved, by being ported across to rootsweb.<br>
https://sites.rootsweb.com/~pbtyc/18-1900/C/C.html
This is a tad problematic for wikipedia edits, insofar as rootsweb has forum content, and other user-generated content that would fail the WP:RS ↗ test.
My personal take is that what he gathered is like wikipedia itself. I would be loath to commence to argue my case with "Wikipedia says...." or "the internet says..." What I can do, with pbtyc or en.wikipedia.org is to use it as a springboard to reliable sources.
Hope this is of use. Keith H99 (talk) 13:30, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
:{{ping|Keith H99}} Very useful indeed, thank you. I never took Benyon as a reliable source, being self-pubished but always found it really useful as a good starting point, as you say. Best regards --Ykraps (talk) 05:14, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

Re-publication of ''British Warships in the Age of Sail'' volumes 1 (1603-1714), 2 (1714-1792) and 3 (1793-1817)
You have left a message on my user talk page saying that you've sent me an email. Sadly this has not been received at my email address. Can you kindly re-send it, making sure you have my email address correctly as: tanparcau@btopenworld.com ? I'll be most grateful as I'd like to try and include as many small corrections as possible, and your help could be invaluable. But I'll need suggested changes during March, if I'm to include them in the new editions. Incidentally, the new editions are already pictured on the Amazon website. Regards, Rif. Rif Winfield (talk) 15:20, 28 February 2026 (UTC)
Hi Rif,
I have sent another email. Please let me know if it fails to reach you.
