Speedy deletion ↗ of :Cambridge Makhosonke Dlamini ↗
48px|left|alt=Warning icon|link= ↗{{Quote box|quote=<p>If this was the first article that you created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article ↗.</p><p>You may want to consider using the Article Wizard ↗ to help you create articles.</p>|width=20%|align=right}}
The page :Cambridge Makhosonke Dlamini ↗ has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗, because it exhibited one or more of the following signs which indicated that the page could only plausibly have been generated by large language model ↗s (an "AI chatbot ↗" or other application using such technology) and would have been removed by any ''reasonable human review'':
- '''Communication intended for the user''': This may include collaborative communication (e.g., "Here is your Wikipedia article on..."), knowledge-cutoff disclaimers (e.g., "Up to my last training update ..."), self-insertion (e.g., "as a large language model"), and phrasal templates (e.g., "Smith was born on [Birth Date].")
- '''Implausible non-existent references''': This may include external links that are dead ↗ on arrival, ISBN ↗s with invalid checksum ↗s, and unresolvable DOI ↗s. Since humans can make typos and links may suffer from link rot ↗, a single example should not be considered definitive. Editors should use additional methods to verify whether a reference truly does not exist.
- '''Nonsensical citations''': This may include citations of incorrect temporality (e.g a source from 2020 being cited for a 2022 event), DOIs that resolve to completely unrelated content (e.g., a paper on a beetle species being cited for a computer science article), and citations that attribute the wrong author or publication.
Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines ↗. If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Cambridge+Makhosonke+Dlamini|deleting administrator}}, or if you have already done so, you may open a discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review ↗. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find creating new encyclopedia content yourself difficult, please share this with other editors at the Teahouse ↗, and they may be able to help. Try not to be discouraged. (Correct) Appeal request review of my block
{{unblock reviewed|reason=Dear admins, this is Zama Khumalo from South Africa ↗. I am writing this appeal for review of my block.
The background is that I was blocked on 20 May 2026 after concerns were raised at the AI noticeboard ↗ regarding my editing, including the use of AI-assisted writing in article creation without disclosure, concerns about sourcing reliability and cases where citations did not support some content claims
I acknowledge these concerns and now understand that all content must be strictly human-written in line with Wikipedia’s core content policies ↗, especially verifiability and reliable sourcing.
The block occurred while I was working on the project Phase II: Documenting the Precolonial and Colonial History of the Kingdom of Eswatini (R-RF-2601-21572) ↗, which focused on expanding and improving articles on precolonial and early colonial Eswatini history through archival research and article development.
Over the past period since the block, I have taken time to carefully review relevant Wikipedia guidelines - in the main those on verifiability and those on the use of AI - and now I am fully aware that AI tools must not be used for drafting or rewriting Wikipedia articles.
I also understand now why the concerns were raised and how the issues identified could affect trust in the content, regardless of intent.
I sincerely apologise and I commit going forward to not use AI tools again, including in anyhow and will ensure that all sources are carefully verified and directly support each and every content I add, especially on a very important and underrepresented topic as the PRECOLONIAL ESWATINI HISTORY.
I respectfully request consideration of my return to editing under these conditions and I promise to uphold these principles eternally. ZS Khumalo (talk) 09:26, 24 June 2026 (UTC)|decline=You "commit going forward to not use AI tools again" and yet this appeal is nearly all AI-generated. You lost the trust of the Wikipedia community by using an AI as an author or coauthor in spite of that activity being prohibited. Using an AI for an appeal is not a great way to try to regain that trust. If you cannot function without AI help, then Wikipedia is not a venue where you should be spending your time contributing content. ~Anachronist (who / me) <small>(talk)</small> 01:25, 29 June 2026 (UTC)}}
