2020 local electoral calendar ↗ moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, 2020 local electoral calendar ↗, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable ↗, independent sources ↗. <small>(? ↗)</small> Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability ↗ is of central importance ↗ on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace ↗ (with a prefix of "<code>Draft:</code>" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline ↗ and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. <b style="font-family:Georgia;font-size:80%;color:#FA0"> CASSIOPEIA</b>(<b style="#0000FF">talk</b>) 08:16, 24 April 2019 (UTC)

Mbochi

Hello,

The Kouyou, Moye, Bobangui(…)are not Mbochi sub-groups. It is an abuse of language to classify them as Mbochi sub-groups.
The people of the North are called Bangala because their lingua franca is Lingala. These peoples are also politically called Mbochi by some Congolese but they are not all Mbochi sub-groups. Bobangi, Kouyou are not variants of the Mbochi language. Somebody040404 (talk) 17:54, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

:I am not disputing this but you just can't go and change something that is supported by credible sources without providing ones that support your changes. Zoocat56 (talk) 18:59, 15 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello,

The Bobangi, Moye or Kouyou are not Mbochi sub-groups. It is an abuse of language to classify them as Mbochi sub-groups. The term Mbochi is just used to group these peoples together because they are related but not all of them are Mbochi. In the Congo Kinshasa Bobangi are just Bobangi.

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. Unnecessary edit

Hi Zoocat56. I believe that after more than 15 years and more than 20 thousand edits across a number of languages I have a pretty good idea of what to do around here and it would be highly unlikely that I would engage in unnecessary edits. :Hi Gabriel. I am sorry if my reversion and edit summary offended you. My first instinct was Why try to fix what isn't broken? On closer examination of your edit I see some merit to what you have done and will do some changes of my own in the next few days. I would like to know why you added the sentence about Kinshasa being the twenty-sixth province? Thank you. Zoocat56 (talk) 19:21, 18 September 2022 (UTC)

Kituku ↗

Hi, if "administratively" it's not DRC, then what is it? You didn't remove the DRC stubcat, nor did you mark the article as incorrect. <span style="font-family: Lucida Calligraphy"><span style="color: #442288">Lady</span><span style="color: #22aaaa">of</span><span style="color: #cc2288">Shalott</span> ↗</span> 13:34, 11 March 2024 (UTC)

:{{Reply to|LadyofShalott}} No it's not a "city" in the administrative sense ↗ of the word used in the DR Congo. This is why I removed the article from the DRC cities category which seems to be about the administrative division. Looking into it there is a small community near the coordinates given which may sometimes be called "Kituku". I am thinking of rewriting the article to be about a "quartier" of the city of Kalemie ↗ called Kituku or requesting that the article be deleted. By the way how do you mark an entire article as incorrect? Zoocat56 (talk) 20:08, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
::For the entire article, you could use Template:Disputed ↗; for an individual statement, Template:Dubious ↗. Mapframe

Please do not restore improperly formatted maps just because you think they look better. {{tl|maplink}} is not supposed to be used in Infoboxes. That is the purpose of Module:infobox mapframe ↗ which is what my edit does. This edit has been performed on over 50,000 pages. If you have an issue with it, you are welcome to raise an objection and seek consensus that Infobox mapframe should not be used, but the fact that it is built-in to {{tl|Infobox settlement}} speaks for itself. It is what is supposed to be used. '''<span style="color:#00ced1">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange;">What I been doing</span> ↗) 04:23, 13 December 2025 (UTC)

:Apparently a "maplink" can be used in Infoboxes via the mapframe parameter "mapframe-custom" which in my opinion is better to do for the cases where I reverted your edits. I have done this for the city of Beni ↗ article and plan on continuing to do so when appropriate. Contrary to your "just because you think they look better" comment, as partially explained in my edit comment, just inserting a default mapframe does not provide a very useful map for the reader as is it does not provide any context, just a pretty map, unless they use it interactively which a mobile user can not do. I would not have reverted your edits if I had known that using "maplink" in such a way was not compliant (as is explained where?). Zoocat56 (talk) 02:58, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
::I'm currently looking at the interactive mapframe on mobile so you should check before you make claims that something doesn't work... Adding a clunky switcher to show the city within random other jurisdictions is not helpful. '''<span style="color:#00ced1">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange;">What I been doing</span> ↗) 03:12, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
:::My mistake, I should have said the mobile app (android), I didn't mean the mobile web site. There is nothing random about the jurisdictions, the DR Congo is divided into provinces which are divided into territories and cities. Zoocat56 (talk) 05:00, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

Regarding your recent edits to :Beni Territory ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.
Thank you. '''<span style="color:#00ced1">Zack</span><span style="color:#007F94">mann</span>''' (Talk to me ↗/<span style="color:orange;">What I been doing</span> ↗) 17:40, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
