You prod'ed this and I supported. A TA has now expended it. You may want to look and consider AFD. - UtherSRG (talk) ↗ 14:53, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, thank you for the heads up! Most of what I previously found in svenska tidningar were just mentions, hence the prod. I will review the TA's added sources and see if it could arguably amount to GNG. Zzz plant (talk) 15:04, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

RE: Fred Hlava

Hi! I saw that you struck the date of birth on the article for Fred Hlava ↗. Could you help me understand why? My understanding of WP:DOB ↗ is that the inclusion of the date of birth is acceptable because the subject is notable as a former member of a state legislature and the source for the date of birth is reliable (in that case, as part of the state legislator's biography on the state website). Thank you! PA Uploader (talk) 22:28, 11 April 2026 (UTC)

:Hi! Ah, my bad, archive.org was glitching when I patrolled the page- I see now it's there so you can add it back if you like. I usually just err on the side of removing it if the DoB isn't stated explicitly in the article body or infobox w/ a source. I'd maybe specify date in the article body just for clarity since it's sourced. Thanks for checking in, and keep up the good work on the Nebraska politicians! deleting of unpublished page

Dear ZZZ Plant, thank you for reviewing my proposed page and commenting on it. The page was for Technonousphobia. After some consideration, I came to a conclusion that I don't want to publish that page because of insufficient sources to support idea I tried to create. how soon can this page be deleted? Can you help with the deleting process? Again, thank you for your help. ~2026-27425-11 ↗ (talk) 03:09, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

:Hi! Sorry for the delay in response- I'm on a bit of a wikibreak. The draft will be deleted if it is not edited by a human for 6 months per G13 ↗, but if you'd like it to be deleted sooner, you could request G7 ↗ speedy deletion. To do so, you can just add <nowiki>{{db-g7}}</nowiki> to the top of the page and press publish. Best, Zzz plant (talk) 19:05, 8 May 2026 (UTC)

Request to Review References

Disclosure: I have been paid for writing this article.

Hi. You accepted Daniel J. Blumenthal ↗, a draft that I submitted. After acceptance, another editor has raised concern on whether the sources confirm the information in the research section or not. I have provided details of what parts of the source documents confirm the sentences I have written in the research section on Talk:Daniel J. Blumenthal ↗. Can you please review when you have time? Thank you. HRShami (talk) 05:07, 4 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi HRShami, I spot-checked a couple sources before I accepted the draft and didn't have any concerns. I disagree with the <nowiki>{{puffery}}</nowiki> tag and have removed it. The bibliography section can be reinstated in my view; it's a selection rather than an exhaustive list of everything he's ever published. I can sort through the quotation needed tags later when I have some more time. But my general feeling is that for a claim like "He has studied XYZ", a paper published in a peer-reviewed journal about XYZ where he is a co-author provides solid verification. Best, Zzz plant (talk) 13:33, 4 June 2026 (UTC)
::Absolutely. Whenever you have time. Thanks a lot. HRShami (talk) 06:02, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Whoops, when I first replied I forgot you couldn't edit the article directly now that it's in mainspace. I've reviewed the research section and removed the <nowiki>{{quotation needed}}</nowiki> tags. I also reinstated the bibliography. Personally I would cite Blumenthal's research directly rather than citing research that cites his work, unless the authors are analyzing it (like maybe in a review article). As long as it's published in a reputable journal, his publications can provide solid verification for describing his research topics. Best, Zzz plant (talk) 12:29, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Thank you. I personally think the subject's papers published in peer reviewed journal should be a solid source for describing their research. However, other editors have pointed out that the subject's publications are a primary source. Therefore, I use published research citing the subject's research papers. Have a great day! Swedish engineer

I found you from your comments on Rabid, thanks for that. As a side effect, I saw the Swedish bios.

One that gets insufficient attention is Harry Nyquist ↗. Maybe we could colaborate on him? My godfather (Norge) knew his family, got me interested when I was young. WhaleFarm (talk) 17:20, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, thank you! I really appreciated your contributions with that situation. I'd love to collaborate on Harry Nyquist ↗ - I've actually been meaning to try expanding some academic biographies, although I should give you a heads-up that I'm not very knowledgeable about electronics. So I could help with tracking down Swedish sources - I see Sveriges Radio ↗ broadcast a profile on him in 2004 called ''Ett bortglömt geni'' ("A forgotten genius") - but I probably wouldn't be much help with writing on the technical side :-) Zzz plant (talk) 18:18, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
::I got that covered, or should after 55 years of engineering. I'll start pulling stuff from Bell Labs on him. I authored the carrier telephony ↗ page where he is a major player.
::Jeg forstår lidt dansk, men ikke svensk WhaleFarm (talk) 18:56, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
::OK, ZZZ, I've made some major changes to the tech section. I hope it now illustrates what an important engineer he was. Take a look, maybe we can get it into GA teritory. OBTW, he went to school and worked with John Johnson. They made a power team at Bell Labs. WhaleFarm (talk) 22:15, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Wow looks great, you've done a really good job fleshing out the article! If we wanna try to get to GA we will need citations at the end of every paragraph even if it means duplicates so everything can be easily verified. I find this user script helpful to check for spots that need references. How do you feel about a legacy section? It could talk about the things named after him and other things like the radio profile. Zzz plant (talk) 01:44, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
::::I keep reading that section in ga and I don’t see the every para. It says unless supported somewhere nearby or something like that. Am I missing something?
::::…and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose);…
::::I can get one every para it just repeats .
::::i can work on legacy
::::what do you mean by radio profile? WhaleFarm (talk) 02:04, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Yeah, it's criterion 2b. Pretty much anything besides the lede or a plot summary needs citations. And Sveriges Radio ran a program about him called ''Ett bortglömt geni'' ("A forgotten genius"). I'm gonna see if I can track it down. Zzz plant (talk) 02:12, 20 June 2026 (UTC)

Senega linoides ↗

We were trying to get the 210k edit author to perform to the level that such an edit count should be expected to edit at.... but thanks anyway. - In solidarity ↗, UtherSRG (talk) ↗ 00:18, 30 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi, I understand the frustration given the editor's number of edits, but declining a draft for a missing template or bare URLs runs afoul of WP:AFCPURPOSE ↗. ''Senega linoides'' is a recognized species; it will survive an AfD so it should be accepted if there are no other prohibiting factors like LLM use, complete lack of references, etc. If you have systemic concerns about their editing, the appropriate venue to address that would likely be ANI, since you've already tried their talk page. Zzz plant (talk) 00:40, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
::I've filed at ANI. However, I would like you to consider two things. Both WP:IAR ↗ and WP:DEADLINE ↗ both can be applied here. When there's good reason to, ignoring rules like WP:AFCPURPOSE ↗ can be beneficial. Why rush and accept the draft when we have no deadline to have the draft completed? In this case, providing a user additional time to learn the few very simple skills and let them succeed, instead of allowing them to continually fail upwards, can have a long term benefit that outweighs the short term and small scale rules bending. - In solidarity ↗, UtherSRG (talk) ↗ 02:42, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
