Collaboration On Georgism-Related Topics

Hello Plupsnup.
I noticed that we both share an interest in editing articles that are related to Georgism, economics, and history.
I'm working on a skeleton draft for Freiland, which is a similar yet different alternative to the Georgist approach to land reform.
It was proposed by Silvio Gesell ↗ as part of his Freiwirtschaft ↗ theory and proposal.
I might later decide to merge the draft into the Freiwirtschaft article though, since Freiland only exists as a subsection on the German Wikipedia: :de:Freiwirtschaft#Freiland ↗.

I'm trying to find for sources to complete the Freiland article, but there may be a language barrier to finishing the article, since many of the sources that talk about it are written in German and Spanish instead of English.
Due to their histories and spreads of influence, Georgism is more well known in the Anglosphere ↗, whereas Freiland and Freiwirtschaft are more well-known in the German-speaking ↗ and Spanish-speaking ↗ worlds.

I've also been editing articles related to Demurrage currency ↗, since it's become one of my main interests.
I've been working with another editor on translating the :de:Silvio Gesell ↗ German article into the Silvio Gesell ↗ English article.
I think it would be awesome if we could potentially edit articles together. Zero Contradictions (talk) 06:47, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

:Hello Zero. I'm not well versed in Gesell's theories besides having amateur understanding about how a demurraged currency works. cooperative-individualism.org has available ''The Case for Nationalisation of the Land ↗'' and ''The Natural Order ↗.'' Plupsnup (talk) 07:35, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

Speedy deletion ↗ nomination of :Category:Georgist activists ↗

48px|left|alt=|link= ↗

A tag has been placed on :Category:Georgist activists ↗ indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category ↗, a category redirect ↗, under discussion at Categories for discussion ↗, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion ↗.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page ↗ and removing the speedy deletion tag. <!-- Template:Db-catempty-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <span style="font-family:Papyrus; color:#800080;">'''''L'''''iz</span> '''''Read!''''' ↗ '''''Talk!''''' 23:54, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

Georgism sidebar versus footer

Hi RAC. I see you've restored the 2010-style Georgism sidebar to Frederic C. Howe ↗. You seem to be dedicated to Georgism and I was wondering if I could persuade you to work up a modern-style Georgism FOOTER rather than a layout-clogging sidebar? These are basically low-value links that can be had just as easily through the categories feature; I'm not adverse to having them in two places, but eating up 6 inches of vertical layout is highly suboptimal. A footer does not affect page layout and is just as easy for people to find. Thanks, —tim //// Carrite (talk) 22:06, 25 March 2026 (UTC)

:@Carrite, I'm glad that you just said something about this because I've been thinking the exact same thing for a few months. The Template:Georgism ↗ sidebar looks really intrusive and distracting on pages like Single tax ↗ and Theory of fructification ↗, for example. I agree that a Georgism footer would be massively more preferable than the current sidebar.
:If a footer was created with all of the sidebar's current links, then I would also support deleting the sidebar template. Zero Contradictions (talk) 06:35, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
:Sure thing. I'll get to work on a Footer.
:Kind regards, Πpuπsnuπ (talk) 06:43, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
::What do you think about this Georgism footer that I just created?: Template:Georgism footer ↗. In my opinion, it looks better and is more user navigation friendly than the sidebar. I'd like it to replace the sidebar in all articles, if you agree.
::I don't think it's perfected just yet though, as it would need more nested navboxes to attain the best organizational aspects of Draft:Georgism footer ↗. Perhaps you could help me with that? Juna Urso Tropika (talk) 05:37, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
:::i agree that it's much better than the sidebar. You can go ahead and add replace the sidebar with it in the relevant articles.
:::On the question of nested navboxes, I think my Draft ↗ does a better job at categorising the types of professions that each article on a person belongs to. If we could move onto creating relevant and nested navboxes, that would be great (and I'm more than happy to assist). Πpuπsnuπ (talk) 08:04, 30 June 2026 (UTC)
