:I'm confident that the use of this low-resolution image to support the encyclopedic discussion in this article, as explained in the file uploaded below, falls within fair use of the artist’s artwork.
:Let me now explain how the artist's work, an appropriation art ↗ and reproduction of a potentially copyrighted object, falls under the same fair use grounds, as it is also intended to support the artist's discussion of how the public is marketed to by critiquing consumer culture through a recontextualized ↗ object meant for contemplation. That is different in material from the consumable version it imitates and will not affect the product's commercial viability, as it appears.
:These are the same reasons why in Pop Art’s ↗ use of products (''Campbell's Soup Cans)'' ↗ and their logos falls under fair use, and why images of those artworks are presented here in Wikipedia and are acceptable as fair use for the same reasons I've explained for this image. :: The event captured in the photograph is described very superficially in the article (1.5 sentences). I don't think we can add a non-free image to every 1.5 sentence in our articles. — Ирука13 ↗ 12:52, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

:Actually, I never noticed you had removed the link citations before and thought I had forgotten to add them as I was adding to the description. To me, it was no big deal, and sorry you got bent out of shape. I didn’t realize a non-profit was the same kind of conflict of interest as an individual website; it’s only stating a fact, not a promotional statement, but I understand now. Thanks again for the clarification on this article.
:Just to be clear, you adding an '''Individuals with a conflict of interest banner''' on the talk page was completely unnecessary, a passive-aggressive act towards me, as I'm the only one who is contributing, besides you to this article. Ache Erie (talk) 23:53, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
