25px|alt=Information icon โ Hi AnthonyTheGuy! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. On Wikipedia, "minor edit โ" refers only to superficial edits that could never be disputed, such as fixing typo โs or reverting obvious vandalism โ. Any edit that changes the <em>meaning</em> of an article is not minor, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. <!-- Template:uw-minor --> Raskuly (talk) 05:59, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
:I'll keep that in mind, thanks! AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 00:39, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Discord
Why have you reached out to me on Discord? I almost just blocked you because I thought you were someone random. My Discord isn't linked anywhere on my user page so you searched for me, presumably. If you want to discuss Wikipedia-related things, my talk page is for that. I'm not open for discussion off-platform. Raskuly (talk) 00:45, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
:I had two questions, one just about Wikipedia and one for you, sorry if i came off weird lol AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 01:31, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
::Okay, what are your questions? Raskuly (talk) 01:43, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
:::First one was just about US:MOS, but the other question was about why you devote so much of your time on gun violence even when you find it depressing to do so. I'm ''very'' passionate about gun violence & gun control as well and seeing your goal hit personally for me so I was just curious
:::I just thought it'd be a bit weird to have a conversation through the Wikipedia talk page, sorry AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 02:12, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
::::'''First''': MOS:US โ says that "US" should be used instead of "U.S." in articles, except in older articles where it has already been established in. 2026 Cedarbluff shootings โ is a new article (or post-current MOS:US โ guidelines) therefore US should be used instead of U.S. I actually prefer "U.S." over US, but that is the consensus.
::::'''Second''': When I was in high school, I had to report a school shooting threat, and about a week afterward the Parkland high school shooting โ happened. I remember coming home from school the day it happened and just sitting in my bedroom watching the news just dumbfounded. I was still mentally coping with what happened at my school. From that moment onwards, I became very passionate about the topic of gun violence in the United States, and I think Wikipedia's coverage of the topic hammers home the extent of the issue and how it is primarily a U.S. issueโand I think only radical legislative (or constitutional) change could reverse this. Currently, I think the United States just keeps putting Dora the Explorer bandages over gaping woundsโeven in states where gun laws are stricter.
::::I hope that having good coverage of the topic from a WP:NPOV โ lens might eventually lead others to a similar conclusion. I find it disrespectful to the victims when articles about these incidents are poorly written or focus too much on the perpetrators/suspects. A lot of old Wikipedia articles about these topics were written in the form of biographies of the perps rather than overviews of the incident. For an especially egregious example of this, see this old revision โ of the 2007 Neosho church shooting โ article. But, at the same time, I dislike writing about it. I much prefer writing about soccer. Raskuly (talk) 02:49, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
Rename
Read your bio, you can request a name change at WP:RENAME โ. Raskuly (talk) 01:24, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
:I tried a couple years ago ago, but I'll go look again. Thx! AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 01:31, 18 February 2026 (UTC)
Letโs talk
Hello, You recently disagreed with some changes I made to the pronouns being used for the Tumbler Ridge shooter. Please come to the main articleโs talk space and participate in the talk there where Iโm stating my points and asking everyone to state their opinions. Thanks Kikiriwiki (talk) 06:27, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
:Look whatever you think of the shooter personally, I donโt really care, but Wikipedia has rules for gender identity โ that need to be followed regardless of you personal beliefs. Also, donโt go on peoples personal talk page for discussions like this and just use the articleโs talk page. AnthonyTheGuy (talk) 13:55, 24 February 2026 (UTC)

Speedy deletion โ nomination of :File:Atta Elayyan, July 2015.webp โ
48px|left|alt=|link= โ
A tag has been placed on :File:Atta Elayyan, July 2015.webp โ requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion โ, because it is a non-free file โ from a commercial source (e.g. Associated Press โ, Getty Images โ), where the file itself is not the subject of sourced commentary. If you can explain why the file can be used under the non-free content guidelines โ, please add the appropriate non-free use tag โ and rationale.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may '''contest the nomination''' by visiting the page โ and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines โ. <!-- Template:Db-badfairuse-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> <math>999</math><span style="white-space: nowrap;color: white;text-shadow:0 0 .25em #F0F,0 0 .6em #F0F;">REAL ๐ฌ โฌ โ</span> 16:31, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
