Claudette MacKay-Lassonde

Thank you so much for creating and writing this page. I have quite a few additions to make but do not have the experience to do so. I was hoping that I could work with you to significantly improve this page. Please let me know if you would be interested. Many thanks for all the work you have already done to highlight so many women trailblazers in STEM around the world. Julie.Gibbens (talk) 18:57, 29 January 2025 (UTC)

Charlotte Saumaise de Chazan

Hi! Thank you so much for your article about Charlotte Saumaise de Chazan. I am very new to Wikipedia editing but I made some changes to the page and now I wonder if I should have asked you first. I was inspired to read about her so I'd like to make more edits/additions in the future if that's ok. Brilliant to learn about the Women in Red project, as well. Very best wishes, Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau (talk) 13:30, 30 May 2025 (UTC)

Deborah Lambkin

Dear Antiqueight, I am messaging you on behalf of Deborah Lambkin regarding the page you have created and maintained about her.

There is a factual error which has unfortunately now propagated to lots of other publications: she was born in 1969 not 1970.

I would fix it myself but it’s more than 20 years since I have edited Wikipedia and I am very rusty so thought it would be worth approaching you first.

Deborah has also pointed out that it is not correct that she is only one of two Irish artists to have won an RHS Gold Medal. Susan Sex is another.

Finally, while it is correct, she wonders whether it is relevant to state the name of one firm, Motive, who she worked for very briefly in her 20s when a more generic reference to working in graphic design would be more appropriate.

Thank you on behalf of Deborah for creating the page and I hope you will be able to update it accordingly. OfCourseIStillEdit (talk) 12:45, 6 August 2025 (UTC)

:Greetings @OfCourseIStillEdit, I am delighted to change her page - I'll dig up evidence for the 1969 (apologies to the lady in question) and yes it would make sense to remove the specific firm name indeed. I will double check the detail on the medal too. I may have misread wherever I got that from (assuming indeed that was me, which I do for now). It might have been true at the time of the writing in the citation but not by today or something like that... But however, yes, absolutely. And if you have citations for other information which should be here but isn't do pass it along and I will take a look and update. (Or other names of women to include in the wiki if they are missing). <em style="font-family: Kristen ITC; color:red"> &#9749; Antiqueight</em> <small>chatter</small> 21:13, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
::Many thanks! What kind of evidence do you need for the birth year? The only (correct) reference I can find online is the author detail for a book listed in the Wellcome Collection: https://wellcomecollection.org/works/v26szdg4. OfCourseIStillEdit (talk) 23:12, 6 August 2025 (UTC)
:::Sorry, didn't have a chance to come back til now. That's kind of my problem - the only evidence was the one I cited and it said 1970. Another article suggested 1970 was correct (it was 1999 and said she was 29 - obviously also possible for 1969 but certainly agreed with the other date. I wouldn't consider the way the date is mentioned in the wellcome collection to be a reference as it's unclear where that date came from. So for now I have simply removed it. It might be worth a note on the talk page of the article to confirm that 1970 is wrong. <em style="font-family: Kristen ITC; color:red"> &#9749; Antiqueight</em> <small>chatter</small> 15:59, 11 August 2025 (UTC)

Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

It was brilliant to have you with us at the National Library of Ireland last week. Having experienced editors in the room makes an enormous difference, and the newer editors who were there benefited hugely from your presence and your patience. Thank you. ✨

Together the room created a number of new articles, edited dozens more, added 4,260+ words to the public record, and uploaded 37 files to Wikimedia Commons.

📸 Dublin Pride is this weekend: keep Wiki in mind! 🌈

If you (or any friends) are heading to Dublin Pride ↗ this weekend, '''Wiki Loves Pride 2026'''
is open until 31 August. Upload images of LGBTQ+ life, history, culture, and
community to Wikimedia Commons - prizes awarded for winning entries.

Add the category '''Wiki Loves Pride 2026 in Ireland''' to enter. 🏆

🔍 One to watchː Patrick McCormack

One of the articles created on the day — Patrick McCormack ↗ — is currently
at AfD ↗. If you have a
view on the sourcing and notability arguments, your input at the discussion
would be welcome. I have made a proposal to create a
Transgender history in Ireland ↗ article and an Ireland section within
Transgender history ↗ both currently missing from English Wikipedia. If
that is something you would like to contribute to, please do get in touch. I plan to start them on my personal volunteer editing page this weeknd.

📅 LGBT+ editing group - August 2026

We are launching a monthly '''LGBT+ Wikipedia editing group''' in August
(IST, UTC+1) - a space to coordinate ongoing work on Irish LGBTQ+ content
across Wikipedia, Vicipéid, WikiData, and Wikimedia Commons. Given your experience, your involvement would be very welcome.
