&#126;2026-36411-16 ↗ (talk) 08:57, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

De Haas

Reference this ↗ and this ↗, calm down, please. There's no need for such aggressive edit summaries. And yes, it was overlinking. The whole point of linking in an article is so an interested reader can find out more about linked topics which they'll do on the first mention of two which are right beside each other. And no, it's not the case that "the intro should have the link and the sections as well" per MOS:DUPLINK ↗ "Do not re-link in other sections if not contextually important there."

"a Dutch footballer who plays as a defender for La Liga club Valencia."
THEN
"On 1 July 2026, de Haas signed a four-year contract with La Liga side Valencia"

The context is very clear. Valenciano (talk) 23:07, 1 July 2026 (UTC)

:@Valenciano: It was NOT overlinking. Your understanding of MOS:DUPLINK ↗ is wrong, since it explicitly talks about '''sections'''. There were no other sections re-linking Valencia or La Liga, just the intro, as I've told you in the edit summary. You should focus on improving articles instead of nitpicking edits of other people who are actually contributing here. Thank you, <span style="color:orange">BRDude70</span> (<span style="color:purple">talk</span>) 12:38, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

::Nope. There was another section. The lead SECTION, right before it. MOS:DUPLINK speaks specifically about context and here the context is clear. When we've already told the reader exactly which club he's signed for with a link to that club, there's no need to do it again in the VERY NEXT LINE. The average reader here doesn't suffer from such serious memory lapses. Thank you for your advice on how I should edit, but being a volunteer and after creating hundreds of articles here over a 2-decade long period, I'll edit as I please. Focus on your own edits and try and calm down in your edit summaries. That is all. Valenciano (talk) 13:31, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
:::@Valenciano: You're the one going through MY edit and MY talk page to talk about an article where you contributed NONE of it. So please stop interacting with me and go your own way, your interpretation is wrong and so is your approach. Please cease bothering me, thank you. <span style="color:orange">BRDude70</span> (<span style="color:purple">talk</span>) 14:00, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
::::Um, excuse me, you were the one who mentioned me in a belligerent edit summary. ↗ If you hadn't done that, we wouldn't be here. We had this nonsense under your previous account too when you took the huff after I correctly changed something, please tell me you aren't sulking about that after all these years? Trust me, I would sooner watch a compilation of Getafe 0-0 draws on a 24-hour loop than interact with you. I had planned to avoid you but that's going to be extremely hard if you insist on stalking my edits at articles you never edited with this account before with sarcastic edit summaries. ↗ Now, let me make it clear. Don't mention me again. Ever. Not here. Not in edit summaries. Then you'll never see me again. Stay out of my way and I'll stay out of yours. Any breach of this interaction going forward is on YOU. Valenciano (talk) 09:40, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
:::::@Valenciano: Wow, you're such a scary dude, aren't you? You complain about my aggressive behavior (which you '''do''' have a point, I'll give you that) and then proceed to threat me? How civil yourself huh. Stop doing wrong edits in my area of editing, then you won't see me "sulking"... Furthermore, it's strange how YOU remember some previous "beef" (which I don't even remember what you're talking about, but in your delusional mind, you're correct as well - not surprising, TBH) and bring it up when there's nothing to do with your misunderstanding of WP:OL, which was the main point of this "conversation". Seems like you're the one hurting... Do you need me to apologize to move on with your life happier? I'll do it if it makes your heart more warm :) <span style="color:orange">BRDude70</span> (<span style="color:purple">talk</span>) 12:41, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Yan Diomande ↗ High School

Hello!

I am suspicious that he played at Yulee High School ↗; I think this may be a case of circular reporting ↗.

The first mention ↗ of this on Wikipedia was made by a temporary account in July 2025. This was the only change they made.

The source ↗ we include was published in December 2025. In fact, I have a hard time finding '''any''' source that says that he went to Yulee High School before July 2025.

Another piece of evidence is that he isn't included in any of the Yulee High School soccer rosters ↗.

I also find it hard to believe that a kid from the Ivory Coast would uproot his whole life to play soccer at a '''public high school''' in America (which isn't exactly known for any good soccer players).

If you could verify that he in fact went there, that would be great. &#126;2026-37851-35 ↗ (talk) 03:52, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

:@~2026-37851-35: Raise the issue in the talk page of the article please. <span style="color:orange">BRDude70</span> (<span style="color:purple">talk</span>) 12:38, 2 July 2026 (UTC)

<span style="color:orange">BRDude70</span> (<span style="color:purple">talk</span>) 15:38, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
