:Thanks! I'm monitoring the discussion but don't really have much to add. Bridget&nbsp;(talk) 16:03, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
::Hey Bridget!
::My name is PJ Schulte (yes, the real PJ Schulte lol).
::After getting no update from someone I asked to help me with edits who has now disappeared on me, I joined Wikipedia and it seems like it caused nothing but chaos and disaster.
::I just did some reading as best as that I could navigate the forums and decided to create an account on here so I can learn how to use Wikipedia.
::Just wanted to say I’m sorry for the way he (or they, as it seems like 2-3 people) spoke to you! I would never endorse such behavior. Furthermore, I’m totally fine with my Wikipedia getting deleted. It’s not the end of the world! A lot of the info is incorrect too. :)
::Just wanted to come on here and apologize and wish you well! Keep up the great work! Schultepj (talk) 05:48, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
:::No problem! Bridget&nbsp;(talk) 14:10, 21 June 2026 (UTC)

VG Cats

I accessed the ''History of Web Comics'' book on archive.org, and the two mentions it has of VG Cats are both trivial, passing mentions:

The newspaper article "Web cartoonist is the cat's meow" (which I admit I did miss on my first pass through newspapers.com) is from the Waterloo, Ontario paper, meaning it is localized coverage to Ramsoomair as he is also from Waterloo, and not really independent in the absence of anything else. Compare Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/John Pierce (songwriter) ↗, where a substantial writeup in the newspaper from his hometown of Billings, Montana was considered insufficient without any other sources.

Good on you for neutrally recommending those sources, but I wanted to dig into them and see if they had anything going for them. I'm still inclined to say no, they don't. <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) • (What did I screw up now?) 22:29, 19 June 2026 (UTC)

:{{ping|TenPoundHammer}} Ah got it, thanks for checking it out and for doing the extensive WP:BEFORE ↗. Always forget to check archive.org! Totally agree with your assessment. I like to sometimes make non-committal comments on sources when they're not "slam-dunk" situations. Bridget&nbsp;(talk) 23:22, 19 June 2026 (UTC)
::If you agree with my assessment, you should probably say so in the AFD so as not to leave it hanging. Not following up on source leads has caused more than one AFD to go to "no consensus". <span style="color:green">'''Ten Pound Hammer'''</span> (<small>they/them</small>) • (What did I screw up now?) 03:21, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
:::{{ping|TenPoundHammer}} done! Bridget&nbsp;(talk) 10:13, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
