25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you {{usertalk other|often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to '''always fill in the summary field'''. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences ↗. Thanks! <!-- Template:Uw-editsummary2 --> PerpetuityGrat (talk) 19:58, 16 August 2025 (UTC)

Template:Infobox officeholder ↗ gives no advice on adding degree level. You might want to ask about his at Template talk:Infobox officeholder ↗? Thanks Martinevans123 (talk) 11:22, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

BuckTheArsenalFan342, I have now asked about this at Template talk:Infobox officeholder ↗ and the answer is:
:"{{tq|The revert is correct, per MOS:INFOEDU ↗; this parameter should be institution only.}}"

Would you please now self-revert all the similar edits that you have made? Many thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:15, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

:So, what is your response? You have just gone ahead and made the same addition here ↗?? Martinevans123 (talk) 12:08, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
::what's the problem adding a degree level? It's informative BuckTheArsenalFan342 (talk) 12:17, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
:::Yes, it may be informative but, if anywhere, it should be in the text, with some suitable source(s). I think it's clutter in the infobox. Furthermore, your edits have made a number of format and link problems. But regardless of my personal opinion, the '''template does not ask for it''', so we shouldn't add it. Unless there are indications to the contrary, where there is a single university institution shown, most readers will assume it's a first level BA or BSc degree. If you wish to debate this further, I suggest you go to the relevant thread at Template talk:Infobox officeholder ↗. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 12:28, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
:::In line with the template advice, I have now removed all of the instances of the degree level at the relevant articles where you have edited. If you think the template should be changed, you will need to raise a proposal and get agreement at Template talk:Infobox officeholder ↗. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:24, 5 October 2025 (UTC)

Political BLPs

Hi there, I've noticed you've been adding qualifications to the infoboxes of quite a few politicians (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Joanne_Anderson&diff=prev&oldid=1325158744 ↗http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wes_Streeting&diff=prev&oldid=1324966578 ↗https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Peter_Kyle&diff=prev&oldid=1324403231 ↗) but these aren't sourced or supported in the main article. Could you make sure all additions are properly sourced as per WP:BLP ↗? Orange sticker (talk) 15:18, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Hello. I have noticed that you {{usertalk other|often ↗|often}} edit without using an edit summary ↗. Please do your best to {{strong|always fill in the summary field}}. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to set {{Preferences|Editing|Editor|check={{int:tog-forceeditsummary}}}}. 25px|alt=Information icon ↗ It is not really helpful to add BA or BSc with a wikilink to BA or BSc just after his alter mater in the infobox.
Adjacent wikilinks should be avoided (see :MOS:SEAOFBLUE ↗).<span style="font-family:Monotype Corsiva;font-size:10pt;color:#000000">-- Toddy1 (talk)</span> 08:56, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ '''You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war ↗, according to the reverts you've made to :Ronald Reagan ↗.''' This means that you are repeatedly reverting content back to how you think it should be, despite knowing that other editors disagree. Once it is known that there is a disagreement, users are expected to collaborate ↗ with others, avoid editing disruptively ↗, and try to reach a consensus ↗ – rather than repeatedly reverting the changes made by other users.

Important points to note:
# {{strong|Edit warring is disruptive behavior ↗ – regardless of how many reverts you have made;}}
# {{strong|Do not engage in edit warring – even if you believe that you are right.}}
You need to discuss the disagreement on the article's talk page ↗ and work towards a revision that represents consensus among everyone involved. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard ↗ or seek dispute resolution ↗ if discussions reach an impasse. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection ↗. {{strong|If you continue to engage in edit warring, you may be blocked ↗ from editing.}} <!-- Template:uw-ew --> <span class="nowrap">–CWenger</span> (<span style="font-family:Webdings;"><big>^</big></span><span style="font-family:Webdings;"><big>@</big></span> ↗) 14:51, 28 April 2026 (UTC)

:You should look at the existing discussion, Talk:Ronald Reagan#Disputed Addition ↗, which took place in February and March of this year. You would be welcome to either contribute to that discussion, or start a new one in the same talk page, if your own concerns are not sufficiently addressed. Repeating that you should use Help:Edit summary ↗ when you edit WP-article, to help other editors understand what you are doing. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:45, 3 May 2026 (UTC)

25px|alt=icon ↗ Please explain your contributions using a descriptive edit summary ↗. Changing information on Wikipedia (such as numbers and dates) without explanation, as you did at :Keir Starmer ↗, may be confused with vandalism ↗. You have been repeatedly warned by multiple editors about your lack of edit summaries, please consider this a final warning before I raise this at WP:ANI ↗.<!-- Template:uw-subtle2 -->

Additionally, editors have repeatedly told you that primary and secondary schools should not be included in the infobox of public figures, per MOS:INFOEDU ↗. Please stop repeatedly adding these schools to the infoboxes of WP:BLP ↗ articles, especially when your edits have been repeatedly reverted. Thank you. <span style="Color:chocolate;">'''Pretzel Quetzal'''</span> (talk) 21:03, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

I've removed her Sheffield Ll.B. from the infobox because it isn't mentioned in the text, and so isn't sourced. If you've got a source, or if it's mentioned in one of the existing sources, please add it to the text with source, and then re-add it to the infobox. The infobox should only include information which is present and sourced in the body of the article.
