I notice in Special:Diff/1287737112/1289892526 ↗ that for example {{para|author|Rukmini Callimachi}} is changed to {{para|author|Callimachi}} + {{para|first|Rukmini}}. This is confusing. If there is a "first" there should be a matching "last". I fear it will become a source of future errors made by other scripts and users. -- <span style="color: #006A4E;">'''Green'''</span><span style="color: #093;">'''C'''</span> 14:37, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

:::You are doing good work. My only other comment would be to place the work/website fields prior to URLs, keeping the URL technical information at the end and the author date title work information near the start, mirroring how it displays thus logically oriented. Ordering is not required but if you are reordering anyway, it's best practice. You can see recommended (though not required) ordering at TM:Cite web ↗, in the usage section which was based on a best practice discussion at Help_talk:Citation_Style_1 ↗. -- <span style="color: #006A4E;">'''Green'''</span><span style="color: #093;">'''C'''</span> 18:48, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
::::(oops, I see now those examples have the URL-like parameters spread throughout the template, which I don't agree with, could be open to future discussion - in reality most people do whatever they want, those examples are good for those who copy-paste an empty template) -- <span style="color: #006A4E;">'''Green'''</span><span style="color: #093;">'''C'''</span> 18:55, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
{{ivmbox | image = Commons-emblem-notice.svg |imagesize=50px | bg = #E5F8FF | text = You have recently edited a page related to '''the Balkans or Eastern Europe''', a topic designated as '''''contentious ↗'''''. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and <em>does <strong>not</strong> imply that there are any issues with your editing</em>.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as ''contentious topics''. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee ↗. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators ↗ have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit <strong>carefully and constructively</strong>, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia ↗;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines ↗;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system ↗.
<p>Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics ''procedures'', you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard ↗ or you may learn more about this contentious topic here ↗. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{tl|Ctopics/aware}} template. If you have questions, please contact me or ask at the Arbitration Committee Clerks Noticeboard ↗. Ukrainian topic articles
Hey CitationAuditor, thought I'd reach out in case you'd be interested. Based on your talkpage posts here ↗ and here ↗, it sounds like you have a strong interest/passion for Ukraine-related topics and thought I'd invite you to join WikiProject Ukraine ↗. There's a lot of work to be done and your help would be really appreciated! :) Helping expand/improve coverage of Ukrainian history, culture, and geography articles would help the project and Ukraine a lot more than debates on article titles imo and is something that is in need a lot of work. I can also suggest some areas in need of work plus also could really use some help on some Ukrainian articles I've been working on too if you're interested. Many thanks for your interest in Ukraine and let me know what you think! ;) Dan the Animator ↗ 20:01, 28 June 2025 (UTC)
:{{ping|Dantheanimator}} I think I'll hold off on joining until Wikipedia stops caving in to Russian propaganda about Ukraine's sovereign borders, calling Russia's invasion in 2014 literally anything but an invasion - "entered" "intervened" blah blah blah.--CitationAuditor (talk) 00:41, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
::No worries! Personally I think waiting until sometime in the future to improve English Wikipedia's content on Ukrainian culture actually helps Russian propaganda by decreasing the availability of quality information and allowing that propaganda to fill in the void but that's just my opinion. I know from my experience it can also be difficult to readily find good English online materials on a lot of Ukrainian history and culture and I think that contributes a great deal to simplistic understandings of the events in 2014-2015 and also nowadays. I still think though if you support Ukraine or feel strongly for the country it would be good to reconsider eventually. Cheers, Dan the Animator ↗ 00:55, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
:::{{ping|Dantheanimator}} You're telling me you have an entire Wikiproject about Ukraine with lots of members, who want me to start writing lots new of articles about Ukrainian culture, but none of them have ever tried to correct Russian propaganda about the 2014 invasion of Ukraine that always avoids calling it an actual invasion? I won't write one darn article about Ukrainian culture art/food/dance/whatever until the wikiproject actually starts caring about respecting '''full Ukrainian sovereignty''' over all its territory - including Crimea, Donbas, and Luhansk. I'll pass. Promoting Ukrainian sovereignty is far more important than pop culture.--CitationAuditor (talk) 23:18, 29 June 2025 (UTC)
::::Well, Ukrainian culture ↗ is not simply "pop culture" and Donbas includes Luhansk (Donetsk is the oblast). I think you miss a valuable aspect of what your phrase "full Ukrainian sovereignty" includes: sovereignty over national identity and the history and culture of the land, not just the land itself. In any case, I don't mind you not being on the Wikiproject or whatnot. If your going to edit in contentious topics though, just keep in mind WP:Policies ↗ (especially Wikipedia:Consensus ↗), and being very specific on what changes in which articles you'd like to see. Happy editing, Dan the Animator ↗ 00:16, 30 June 2025 (UTC)
:::::{{ping|Dantheanimator}} If Wikipedia so-called "consensus" is that the invasion of Crimea and Donbass by Russia was just a little "intervention" or "troops entering" and not a "real invasion" - then "consensus" can grow screw itself. Truth doesn't care what other Wikipedia people want to say, Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 and anyone saying otherwise is either really dumb or really evil. Your first and sole priority should be ensuring that Russian propaganda about Ukraine's borders doesn't sneak into Wikipedia, not writing about some random Ukrainian musician with 900 followers on youtube.--CitationAuditor (talk) 01:53, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
::::::Actually haven't written about or done much of any edits to any Ukrainian musicians as of yet though I've been thinking of working on some classic Ukrainian folksongs eventually. In any case, I haven't heard of a consensus like that but if you believe there is, post at the Wikipedia:Help desk ↗ or Wikipedia:Village pump ↗ about it and they'll be able to help more and will definitely fix the situation. And I think the editors at either page would be better able to respond to your replies-I have nothing else to add and I don't think there's any reason for you to message me. Thank you! Dan the Animator ↗ 02:20, 1 July 2025 (UTC)
:::::::If you don't want a reply, don't write on MY talkpage (and don't minimize pre-2022 Russian crimes either).--CitationAuditor (talk) 21:02, 3 July 2025 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Thank you for your contributions ↗ to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to :Boris Polevoy ↗ when you modified the page, you introduced {{cl|Unknown parameters|unknown parameters}}. Just because you specify {{para|some_param|{{var|some_variable}}}} does not always mean that variable will display. The {{para|some_param}} must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview ↗ button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a '''Show preview''' button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history ↗ of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk ↗ for assistance.

Citation review
It looks like you are targeting necessary work; these citation bots are incredibly error prone. However, you have to complete the fix: here ↗, for instance, you correctly deleted an "author" but you left the remaining author as "author2", causing a new reference error. Proposed deletion ↗ of :Robert Nalbandov ↗
left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗
The article :Robert Nalbandov ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗ because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''I see no reason whatsoever to doubt that Nalbandov is a competent academic, but his current position as "teaching assistant professor and program coordinator" for a BS course at East Carolina University appears not to meet the criteria of WP:NPROF ↗. Nor does the article give any indication of other posts, works etc that would meet the criteria. And nor does an online search indicate anything obvious. And furthermore, the article contains next-to-nothing in the way of independent commentary on Nalbandov himself that might suggest meeting broader WP:N ↗ requirements. Wikipedia has notability criteria, and articles are supposed to at least give a vague indication of why the subject might meet them.'''</blockquote>
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion based on established criteria ↗.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion ↗ of the article at any time.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> AndyTheGrump (talk) 10:33, 4 July 2026 (UTC)
