Welcome to Wikipedia ↗, Drew Stanley! I'm I dream of horses, and I've been assigned as your '''mentor'''. My post was based on your contribution history, which I looked at because you had not left an edit summary for your deletion of the Cîteaux Abbey abbots list, and which shows that you often leave no edit summary, and that you often have often made rapid series of unsummarized edits to a given article. Regarding the Cîteaux Abbey deletion, I agree that the table as presented dwarfed the article and is perhaps unnecessary, but, to borrow your expression, if you'd bothered to leave an edit summary, it would have helped your colleagues' understanding of your edit. I just wanted to let you know I've edited your Help Desk question and the talk page post you linked to, so the Help Desk one goes to the talk page itself (not the edit) and the one on the talk page displays as clickable text.

I've found that linking to individual talk page comments and sections is a lot easier using a thing called Convenient Discussions ↗, though it does involve copying some code into your user javascript (the instructions for doing it are pretty straightforward, though).
