Welcome!

Hello, Dušan Kreheľ, and welcome ↗ to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as :Application support via Wayland ↗, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies ↗ and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable ↗ and have already been the subject of publication by reliable ↗ and independent sources ↗.

Please review '''Your first article ↗''' for an overview of the article creation process ↗. The '''Article Wizard ↗''' is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see '''Requested articles ↗.''' If you are stuck, come to the '''Teahouse ↗''', where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

New to Wikipedia? Please consider taking a look at the our introductory tutorial ↗ or reviewing the contributing to Wikipedia ↗ page to learn the basics about editing. Below are a few other good pages about article creation.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian ↗! Please sign your name ↗ on talk pages using four tildes (<nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions ask me on my talk page<!-- Template:First article --> or you can just type '''{{tl|help me}}''' on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome!&nbsp;Fram (talk) 08:05, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

Proposed deletion ↗ of :Application support via Wayland ↗

left|link=|alt=Notice|48px| ↗

The article :Application support via Wayland ↗ has been proposed for deletion ↗&#32;because of the following concern:
<blockquote>'''WP:NOT ↗: Wikipedia is not a how-to, a manual, a list of features.'''</blockquote>

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons ↗.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary ↗ or on the article's talk page ↗.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{Tlc|proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process ↗, but other deletion process ↗es exist. In particular, the speedy deletion ↗ process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion ↗ allows discussion to reach consensus ↗ for deletion.<!-- Template:Proposed deletion notify --> Fram (talk) 08:05, 7 June 2021 (UTC)

Slovakia stat templates

Greetings! Thanks for this revert ↗; I only looked at the preview and not the diff. I didn't realize how much longer that made the wikisource; I thought it was only going to leave the user-visible text. These nested templates make it hard for editors to figure out where these numbers are coming from, and thus difficult to correct or update or change the formatting. I still think the right thing to do is to subst: them, but it will have to be done recursively to get a clean result. I think that means nominating all of :Category:Statistic of Slovak places by Dušan Kreheľ ↗ for deletion. -- Beland (talk) 00:13, 1 November 2021 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Special

Regarding your mail, it's true that Special:Interwiki ↗ is more complete than m:interwiki map ↗, though the difference isn't as great as you think, because it's the source from which Wikipedia:Special is generated. But Special:Interwiki does appear to have about 20 prefixes at the end which aren't in m:interwiki_map, as well as a list of interlanguage prefixes.

I don't think it's useful to most users as a "See also" link without any explanation. The other "See also" links are fairly basic and apply to links in general. This one is advanced and specific. If you want to include it, I'd suggest putting it in the Interwiki links ↗ section, probably as an <code><nowiki>{{efn}}</nowiki></code>. If you really want it in "See also", it should have an explanatory description like the other entries there do. Regards, Dan Bloch (talk) 18:41, 28 March 2022 (UTC)

Problematic bot edits

Hi. You've made arbitrary decision to remove old MOŠ/MIS statistics links from Slovak municipality articles (even archived ones), ok, so be it, but why are you leaving empty sections there? https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1112820704 ↗https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?diff=1112818537 ↗ --Teslaton (talk) 21:45, 28 September 2022 (UTC)

:@Teslaton: In other words, the section is not finished, since it contains a template call.
:I decided not to detect the end of the "external links" section, as currently there is no clearly syntactically-semantically defined boundary in the Wiki+HTML MediaWiki language between the end of the last text section and the "meta data part" at the end of the page section. Bot suggestion

Hey!

I just came accross this edit ↗ yout bot made and wanted to suggest you setting some kind of convention for naming the references. It just used a seemingly meaningless string with some random sequence at the end. I was thinking you may be able to use the url plus the year/date of the reference, when available, to make a more human-friendly name.

Hope you like the idea and thank you for your work. If you want to discuss this further, please hit me up in the Spanish wikipedia, I might not get notified if you answer me here.

Best regards,
--Kakahuete (talk) 09:23, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

BRFA

This BRFA ↗ is an absolute joke of a request. It has zero detail, but the task and scope are identical to previous BRFAs that were denied or revoked. In the interest of good faith I have un-submitted your request for approval, because the alternate is to simply deny it outright, forcing you to create a new one and resubmit (which is a waste of everyone's time). ''Please'' do not submit for approval until you have actually taken into account the concerns and feedback from the previous two attempts. Primefac (talk) 14:34, 13 February 2024 (UTC)

:@Primefac: Joke or scare? Or the code is programmed, and enthusiasm or go further?
:Insufficient application? But that can be changed. Why dismiss it now?

::I am not joking, nor am I attempting to scare you. Your bot request was not properly filled out and does not currently address the issues from the ''previous'' failed attempts. If you prefer that I decline the BRFA instead of giving you an opportunity to improve it before resubmission, then I will do so, just let me know, but then you will just have to fill out ''another'' BRFA, which as I said above is a waste of time for all involved. Hi Dušan Kreheľ, just a heads up, edits like this one ↗ have been breaking a bunch of citation templates by changing <nowiki>&amp;#124; to |</nowiki> within the templates. Dates

Hey Dušan, I noticed your edits in the Slovak-related pages like this one ↗ where you added a date with <syntaxhighlight lang="wikitext" inline>{{Slovak municipality|y}}-12-31)</syntaxhighlight> which results in <code>2024-12-31</code>. Please note that per MOS:DATEFORMAT ↗ that style of date is {{tq|Only in limited situations
where brevity is helpful. For use in tables, infoboxes, references, etc. Only certain citation styles use abbreviated date formats. By default, Wikipedia does not abbreviate dates.}} so the usage of that style of date in running text isn't supported. Hi Dušan Kreheľ, I noticed that you added the <nowiki>{{Slovak_municipality|etno}}</nowiki> module to many articles (using a bot). However, this module seems to have added disambiguation links. Request for help for creating a bot that adds population statistics to Italian municipalities

Hello, I noticed that you have a bot that efficiently adds population statistics to articles of Slovak municipalities, and I would actually need such a bot too. I'm currently updating populations in the infoboxes to 2025, and creating Demographics sections with data on gender, age groups and immigration all from the ISTAT (Italian National Institute of Statistics) website, however this is unfortunately pretty tedious to do manually, around 10-15 minutes per article.

For an example, see Aritzo ↗. The bot could add this exact data on any Italian municipality/province/region article, although of course with careful human assistance so it doesn't add in data about the wrong municipality/province/region. Although since the historical population table data is largely from an old source, it has insufficient data about municipalities/provinces that have been created or abolished since then, so I would prefer to add the historical population tables manually by myself.

Since I don't really have coding knowledge, if you decide to help make the bot for me I would VERY much appreciate it. The "templates" and sources for the bot are already provided there. Thanks in advance :) - GreenWolfyVillager (talk) 21:05, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

800 |References|External links
654 |Demographic evolution|References
282 |Demographic evolution|References|External links

Ručne by si napr. pridával:
<pre>== Population ==
{{Italian municipality|life}}<!-- bot add table here -->

Ethnicity

{{Italian municipality|etno}}
</pre>

:2. Čísla by mali mať čiarky každé 3 znaky od posledného znaku. Napríklad „1365698“ by malo byť „1,365,698“ a „1211“ by malo byť „1,211“.
:3. Lepšie zastúpenie cudzincov by malo byť podľa krajiny narodenia, a nie podľa krajiny občianstva.
- Marek/GreenWolfyVillager GreenWolfyVillager (talk) 20:06, 26 February 2026 (UTC)
::@GreenWolfyVillager:
::1) Je. Takto je to vhodnejšie na medzinárodné porovnanie.
::2) Je.
::3) Je.
::4) Referencia na to? „Population“ mám pri slovenských nesťažoval (okrem teraz).
::5) Nejako je.
::6) …
::7) Infobox teraz nerieš. Vytvorí sa (ako pre SK) nová šablóna a potom sa prípadne bot-om nastaví. Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 17:44, 27 February 2026 (UTC) – --Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 18:42, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
:::Skvelé, ďakujem. Len si myslím, že by bolo lepšie, keby prvá časť vety o krajine narodenia bola ako "As of 2025, the foreign-born population is 149, making up 12.3% of the total population.", kde číslo by bolo celková populácia mínus populácia narodená v Taliansku a percento by mohlo byť toto číslo ako podiel z celkovej populácie. Čo si myslíte? GreenWolfyVillager (talk) 08:32, 19 March 2026 (UTC)
::::@GreenWolfyVillager: Podľa mňa by bolo fajn, ak by sa pridal údaj o percent pre celkový počet. Percentá pri jednotlivých národnosti by som nechal ako percenta z celkového počtu, tak ako je to teraz (taký zvyčajný všeobecný „štandard“ u miest). Dušan Kreheľ (talk) 20:52, 19 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::Súhlasím! Ďakujem GreenWolfyVillager (talk) 06:52, 21 May 2026 (UTC)
::::::Mrzí ma že odsúhlasili na zmazaní šablóny. Našiel som si vlastnú metódu na ľahšie pridávanie populačných dát, ale stále vás chcem poďakovať za pomoc doteraz. Majte sa pekne a či by som možno mohol s niečím pomôcť tak mi skúste napísať. :) GreenWolfyVillager (talk) 07:28, 24 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi! I'm an it.wiki user, I've seen you request, now I'm quite busy but I'd be happy to help! I'm not really experienced on the technical side, but I've a certain experience in navigating the ISTAT website and I know where to get those data. Maybe the first thing that it could be done it would be importing these graphs ↗ on the populations of Italian municipalities...--<span style="color:#B20000;">'''Friniate'''</span> <span style="color:black; font-size:100%"> ✉ </span> 18:17, 5 March 2026 (UTC)

{{Ping|Friniate|GreenWolfyVillager}} The code is +- done: The API document is Template:Italian_municipality/doc ↗. A page and infobox have been set up on hrwiki. I will not be adding with bots, as they did not approve it. I plan to delete my account (which would also mean some kind of break from Wikipedia and so on; don't look at "my disappearance" o "possibly some avoidance").

GreenWolfyVillager, actually you can set the rounding to Module:Italian_municipality#L-21 ↗. If you want my code, we would probably have to meet in person first (set it up on your PC, explain).

Friniat, you like my project, see the equivalent for Slovak places (page + code Fintice ↗, "project" :m:User:Dušan Kreheľ/Project SK in wikis ↗. If you like it, you can offer it to someone (someone from Italy) to take care of it and possibly expand it to another wiki. (unwrited comment
