Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources ↗ to verify ↗ information, especially about living people ↗. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Ruben Kristiansen ↗ article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 19:24, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
:My changes were made using two different sources for the specific changes. Both these sources were given within the article. I hope you will have another look and recognize that the changes in fact were sourced. Thank you. Eggman02 (talk) 19:46, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
::I think it looked OK and not unsourced, just note that we are trying to avoid sponsored names of the Norwegian leagues, both in prose and in tables. They should be named as Eliteserien, 1. divisjon, 2. divisjon and so on. We didn't write Barclays Premier League either. And by the way, welcome! Geschichte (talk) 15:03, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
:::Hi, thanks for the welcome. It’s good to hear that you found the edit OK, I’ll probably change it back again then.
:::When it comes to the sponsored names, I can only apologize. I thought it would represent the leagues in a better way, but if that is not the case, then of course I’ll be changing my approach to this. Thank you for the input! Eggman02 (talk) 11:16, 19 February 2024 (UTC)

25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not add or change content, as you did at :Sigurd Grønli (footballer) ↗, without citing a reliable source ↗. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗ and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.<!-- Template:uw-unsourced2 --> GiantSnowman 08:21, 20 April 2024 (UTC)
:Hi, I used the same source to find the youth games as I used in the career statistics part but didn’t think to show this is where the information came from, a mistake on my part that I will fix as soon as I can.
:However, I hardly see how reverting the whole edit would make the article better. If you thought that the youth part specifically was unsourced, then why did you still remove the categories that was added, or the correct new source used in the career statistics, which replaced a dead and unusable source? Maybe there is a reason, but to me it would make more sense to just remove the part you deemed unsourced and not everything else. Eggman02 (talk) 11:24, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
To Eggman: I have fixed the above article. Feel free to return :) Geschichte (talk) 09:39, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

25px|alt=Warning icon ↗ Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced ↗ content, as you did at :Jakob Dunsby ↗, you may be blocked from editing ↗. <!-- Template:uw-unsourced3 --> GiantSnowman 19:24, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
:Hi again. This is now the third time you have had a problem with my sourcing (maybe you’ve had more problems, but at least these are the ones you have let me know about). Let me be the first one to admit that I’m definitely not without my mistakes, and that I try to make as few as possible. Again though, I struggle to see what the problem is. At least with the specific edit you are mentioning.
:His middle name is mentioned in both the sources that's already in the article that are used to present who he is and where he plays, so it makes sense that I would include his full name, as it wasn’t there already. I don’t really know what else you want. I feel like if you had used the minute you used to write this message to check this instead, we would have been without this discussion. Maybe there is something I’m missing, and if that’s the case, I would love for you to enlighten me.
:I’m hoping you’ll answer this time, as it is a question directed directly at you, but based on my previous attempts to engage in a conversation with you, I’m not holding my breath. Eggman02 (talk) 23:09, 6 September 2024 (UTC)
::GiantSnowman's warning is probably unnecessary but you need to explicitly cite the full name. I've done that in this change ↗. Kind regards, Robby.is.on (talk) 10:21, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
:::Hi, thanks for the reply! Glad to hear you fixed it, and that the warning was unnecessary.
:::I’d still like to ask one thing though, if you don’t mind. My understanding was, that infoboxes should only include footnotes if the info isn’t already presented in the article itself (as per the Help:Infobox ↗). As his full name was referenced in the article already, I didn’t add a footnote in the infobox, or, add one for his date of birth, for that matter, which would be the same thing. Have I misunderstood the help page?
:::As I’m not a veteran editor, I would love to hear what you have to say, as if I’m wrong, or if I’ve misunderstood the help page, I would like to do the right thing in the future, thanks! Eggman02 (talk) 14:06, 11 September 2024 (UTC)
::::Hi, it's good that you ask. There are a lot of conventions on Wikipedia to figure out. {{tq|infoboxes should only include footnotes if the info isn’t already presented in the article itself}} Yes, I believe that's correct. From my experience at WikiProject Football ↗, we usually reference the full name either in the article body – which Jakob Dunsby doesn't have, yet – or in the infobox. {{re| GiantSnowman}} Could you expand on the difference between how we reference a subject's full name and their date of birth? Robby.is.on (talk) 18:28, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
:::::A full name is usually viewed as potentially contentious; a DOB is not. If it is, it needs to be explicit referenced. GiantSnowman 20:28, 12 September 2024 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ You may be '''blocked from editing ↗ without further warning''' the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced ↗ material to Wikipedia, as you did at :Sigurd Grønli (footballer) ↗. <!-- Template:uw-unsourced4 --> GiantSnowman 18:45, 3 March 2025 (UTC)
:This template message runs afoul of WP:CIVIL ↗ and to a certain extent WP:BITE ↗ - and also shows a lack of insight into all matters Sigurd Grønli. In my opinion it was abundantly clear that the youth clubs were sourced to the reference #3 (according to the numbering at the time). In general, Eggman makes progressively better contributions, we therefore need the user to continue instead of being chased away from Wikipedia with red signs, hands and bolded text. I vouch for the quality of the Sigurd Grønli article and am hoping we can move past this and continue. Geschichte (talk) 20:57, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ You may be '''blocked from editing ↗ without further warning''' the next time you vandalize ↗ Wikipedia, as you did at :Ruben Kristiansen ↗. <!-- Template:uw-vandalism4 -->
Please note that we only include domestic league games in the infobox - so no Cup or Continental matches etc. Please also ensure that when you update the stats you also update the date, using <nowiki>~~~~~</nowiki>. If you have any questions please ask. GiantSnowman 16:53, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
:For the final time - if you do not update the date, then your edit is incorrect and disruptive. Failing in this basic requirement is incompetent. GiantSnowman 20:50, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
::Please note that Eggman did not vandalize anything, but ''removed incorrect information which said, erroneously, that Kristiansen has played 2 games in 2025''. Which Kristiansen has ''not''. Why are you mentioning dates in this particular case? What was it about the Ruben Kristiansen ↗ article that made you mention dates? As per Eggman's edit, the articles states that Kristiansen has played 1 Tromsø game per 6 April 2025, which is ''correct''. The IP, which Eggman ''reverted'', had written that Kristiansen played 2 Tromsø games (in his current spell at the club), which was ''incorrect'' and still is per early 12 April, regardless of competition. The Norwegian Cup starts today, by the way, and why are you mentioning "that we only include domestic league games in the infobox - so no Cup or Continental matches" when Eggman's edit did ''not'' insert any cup or continental matches into any stat box?
::GiantSnowman, I just don't understand the harsh templating towards this user? Geschichte (talk) 07:58, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
:::Cheers for talking my case @Geschichte, much appreciated! Any tips on how to deal with situations like this in the future? Eggman02 (talk) 11:21, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
Destubathon
Just wanted to let you know about the Wikipedia:The World Destubathon ↗. If you are motivated by contests, although this one is extremely difficult to ''win'', people can list articles they destubbed during a given time period. As you may know, "destubbing" means expanding an article to 1,500 bytes of prose excluding references and markup. Most Tromsø players throughout history are stubs, as are most of the clubs in Troms :) Geschichte (talk) 09:51, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
