:hey, as someone who’s felt the same way (honestly, still working on it), please don’t. i know it sounds lame to say ‘it gets better,’ but that’s a cliche because it’s true. You are worth something. You are worth the world to some people. Those are people who would want you to stay.

Rollback ↗ and Pending changes reviewer ↗ rights granted

Hi {{<includeonly>safesubst:</includeonly>BASEPAGENAME}}! I've been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes, and I happened to notice that you don't have the ''rollback'' or ''pending changes reviewer'' user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling ↗, and that you consistently view and undo vandalism ↗ and bad faith disruption. I believe that these user rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of both tools. Instead of having you formally request these user rights at WP:PERM ↗, I went ahead and just gave them to you. These user rights allow you to review edits that are pending approval ↗ on pages currently under pending changes protection ↗, as well as to quickly revert the edits of other users ↗ in cases of blatant vandalism.

:;Rollback permissions ↗
right|100px ↗

::Please keep these things in mind at all times when using rollback to revert edits:
:::*Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle ↗. It just adds a ''"[Rollback]"'' button next to a page's latest edits - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
:::*Rollback should be used to revert ''clear and unambiguous'' cases of vandalism ↗ '''''only''''', and ''never'' used to revert good faith edits ↗.
:::*Rollback should '''never''' be used to edit war ↗, and it should '''never''' be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose, the rights will be revoked.
:::*Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, '''''ask'''''.

:::For more information on how to use rollback, see this tutorial page ↗.

:;Pending changes reviewer permissions ↗
right|100px ↗
::Please keep these things in mind regarding the tools or when you're reviewing any pending changes:
:::*A list of articles with pending edits awaiting review can be viewed at Special:PendingChanges ↗, and a list of the articles currently under pending changes protection can be viewed at Special:StablePages ↗.
:::*Being granted and having these rights does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you (obviously).
:::*You'll generally want to '''accept''' any pending changes that appear to be legitimate edits and are not blatant vandalism or disruption, and '''reject''' edits that are problematic or that you wouldn't accept yourself.
:::*'''Never''' accept any pending changes that contain obvious and clear vandalism ↗, blatant neutral point of view ↗ issues, copyright violations ↗, or BLP ↗ violations.

::You may find the following pages useful to review:
:::*Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes ↗, the guideline and tutorial on using the rights and reviewing pending changes.
:::*Wikipedia:Pending changes ↗, a summary of pending changes protection, the pending changes user right, and how it applies.
:::*Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection ↗, the policy section on pending changes protection and its appropriate application and use by administrators.

I'm sure you'll do fine with these user rights - they're pretty straight-forward and they don't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, run into any issues or problems, or if you're not sure if the use of either tool is appropriate or not and need my input or advice - I'll be more than happy to help you any time you need it. If you no longer want one or both of these user rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove them for you. Thank you for helping to locate, revert, and remove vandalism, as well as review and keep disruptive edits off of Wikipedia - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D <b><span style="color:#C00000">~Oshwah~</span></b><small><b><span style="color:blue">(talk)</span> ↗ <span style="color:green">(contribs)</span> ↗</b></small> 01:55, 27 January 2026 (UTC)

:Just chipping in to say I also appreciate your hard work! (And I stole your userpage hatnote :D) Since you edit a lot from mobile, I'd recommend trying out WP:CVPI ↗. :)

non-article improving questions

hello beautiful enby with subjectively cute sounding name! straight to it cus i feel kinda overstimulated.

# how do i do the trans colors at the top like that?
# how do i do the SHA commitment? i know it’s a complicated computer language thing. ik i could search it up, but i honestly didnt feel like doing that, but im not forcing an answer.

:# You can transclude {{tlux|User:enbi/non-binary stripe}} anywhere on your userpage.
:# You can use this tool ↗ to generate a hash, then you add the template {{tlx|Committed identity}} to your userpage with the first parameter being the output from the hash tool. This helps if your account is compromised because you can prove that you are back in control of your account by recalling the original input you used with the hash tool above. (which you should save somewhere) If you don't understand me (i'm pretty hard to understand), you can read the documentation at Template:Committed identity ↗ :3

Question from Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (13:31, 11 March 2026)

Hi how do I know if what I contribute to a article is actually valuable and won't get deleted? --Wordsonwordsonpagesonwordshello (talk) 13:31, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

:Hi! I'd suggest contributing to articles by adding info sourced from reliable secondary sources ↗. If your edit does get deleted, or "reverted" as we call it on Wikipedia and you don't agree with it, you can ask the person who reverted it why they did it using their user talk page ↗. If you want more info on how to add sources to articles, you can read the page Help:Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor/1 ↗, and if you're still struggling, you can ask me for help. <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 15:46, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

About a recent revision

Hi! I myself am in no way related to this, but by complete chance I stumbled across it, and I wanted to bring it to your attention.

You recently undid a revision by Naslmah on the page Sabine G. MacCormack ↗, citing non-neutral content. However, Naslmah's edit was only a size of -1 byte, and it's just that they removed the space between two paragraphs. I was wondering if the non-neutral content you were mentioning was one of those paragraphs. If so, it's still on the page, as reverting the edit only put the space back between the paragraphs.

Also, Naslmah seems to have many edits with a difference of only a couple of bytes. I looked at a couple of these at random, and most/all of them seem to be removing the spacing between two paragraphs. To me, this did not seem very constructive, and it always seemed like those paragraphs should be split. I'm a beginner editor though. Is there anything we can do about the situation? I don't want to manually revert each edit one by one.

Thanks! As I said, I'm a beginner, so tell me if I have anything wrong about this situation! Jayupe (talk) 02:01, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
:{{tps}} @Jayupe Yeah, their edits are a problem (the revert may have just been a missclick and had the wrong edit summary). Question from Nandom Daya (20:52, 23 March 2026)

Hello! I am new to the Wiki (as an editor) I would like to learn basic editing tools and skills --Nandom Daya (talk) 20:52, 23 March 2026 (UTC)

:Hi! Since you're new to wikipedia, I'd recommend that you start by using the VisualEditor ↗ tool (which lets you edit pages like a Word document). One of the most useful editing skills is to know how to use reliable sources ↗ and inline citations ↗ (a fancy way to format references on Wikipedia) so that other readers and editors can prove that what you're saying is true.
:You could also go to the Task Centre ↗ page where there are pages that need help such as pages with no reliable sources or pages that need categorising ↗.
:If you're still struggling, you can ask me (: <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 21:10, 23 March 2026 (UTC)
::ok,thanks. I am going to get started on visual basic soon. I also am going to start getting a hang of latex. You'll hear from me when i am done. I hope that we can work together to do many things for Wikipedia. Nandom Daya (talk) 20:10, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

Simple question

Sorry I am really new here, what does this comment mean? Do I have to ask a moderator to allow me to edit some Pages?

"One or more of the filters triggered are private, and the request needs to be evaluated by an edit filter helper or manager"

RakowCze (talk) 15:43, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

:Hi! (= It just means that the filter that your edit tripped are restricted ↗ so that only 2 groups of people called edit filter helpers ↗ and managers ↗ (which I am not part of) can view it and the edit that you tried to made, which we need to know to evaluate whether or not it was a false positive.
:You don't need to ask moderators or admins to edit most pages, although some high-traffic pages are protected to stop people from vandalising and some pages, such as sockpuppet investigations ↗, have strict edit filters applied because the targets of the investigations often make disruptive edits on those pages. <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">...enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 15:59, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

How do you do counter-vandal/patrol work?

Hey, have seen you around doing CV stuff and wondering how you go about it? Like what kinds or tools you use, or what kinds of tags you use on Recent Changes to find some of your edits? I'm... well I guess not super new anymore, but would like to branch out to see how other people do it. Realtent (talk) 03:47, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

:{{tps}} enbi appears to use a combination of Twinkle, Interceptor ↗, and the Rollback right ↗. Not sure how they find problematic edits, though; I myself mainly spot stuff through the edit filter ↗, which is especially convenient when editing on my iPhone as you can swipe down in Safari to reload the page and refresh the filter, which normally doesn't auto-update like Recent Changes or the Watchlist.
:enbi also has made a bunch of scripts to help them when patrolling. SuperPianoMan9167 (talk) 04:24, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
::I've been eyeing Interceptor and rollback for awhile now, but never thought to apply due to me only starting CV work about a month ago. Edit filter seems like a good place to keep eyes on though. ::Hi! I mostly find problematic edits either through Interceptor or by watching user creation logs and watching for certain username patterns, which I made a few scripts to help with. :Hi! I'm happy to see you back =)
:In that CSS file you have, you can change <code>#bodyContent a[title="User:Your username"]</code> to <code>a[href*="/wiki/User:Tonkarooson"]</code> to make it work on your name. Nils Petersen

hello enbi, if you only want to stay on the neutral point of view, whatever that is, you can delete Wikipedia nearly completely. I think it's not so far from a fact, that the best scorer should play and Nils Petersen was the best scorer, that's a fact. He wrote a book "banking secret", where he asked himself, why he always played only the last 20 minutes. He scored the most goals per minute playing time, therefore his nickname was "premium joker". I don't know if you're an expert for football, I think, I am one, did you ever play football, I did. I promised 2018 that Germany will soon quit the WM and that France will win it. Nils Peterson was the most underestimated German player ever. &#126;2026-23335-47 ↗ (talk) 15:29, 17 April 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @GamerCaboy! I'd strongly recommend against writing articles about your own games; this is called a conflict of interest ↗ which you appear to already be aware about.
:The links you tried to add are primary sources ↗ (the original place where information comes from e.g. the game's website) which are useful as supporting sources but can't be used to base a full article off of.
:An article also needs to meet Wikipedia's notablility guidelines ↗ to be published, which means in short that the subject must have multiple secondary, independent sources ↗ published about it. :Hi @NAKriss! It looks like you've done it right to me :]

::Thank you. My first edit was approved which was very exciting, but at the same time the site was tagged with a maintenance template. :::A) The maintenance tag means that the subject of the article may not be notable enough to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines ↗. Sadly, there's not much you can do about this unless you can find enough reliable sources to prove the article are notable.
:::B) I'm not sure about the exact amount of time it will take, but you can look at User:AnomieBOT/COIREQTable which is a list of all unanswered COI requests. <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 06:07, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
::::Was it beginners luck that my initial edit was approved right away? The edit I have proposed cites that the subject (Pat Hanson) has received the highest honour in Canada for architectural contributions. She also received the King Charles Medal (which honours "Canadians who made significant contributions to their community, province, or country" in celebration of the King's coronation. Do you think that these additional would be notable enough for the maintenance tag removal? And based on this should I make further requests, or wait for my current request to be reviewed? Thank you, Enki. NAKriss (talk) 13:49, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
::::Hi Enbi, sorry to bring this up again, but as I am new to Wikipedia I am still trying to figure out if the only thing I can do is wait for a change approval? Ms. Hanson received the 2026 Gold Medal from the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, which is the highest national honour an architect can receive and in tandem with this honour Canadian Architect magazine published this monograph about Ms. Hanson: https://www.canadianarchitect.com/2026-raic-gold-medal/ It provides substantial information about career and impact. I am wondering if the only way that I can update her page and have the notability tag removed is to apply for one edit at a time, and wait for them to be reviewed? Is there a way that I can work on further changes, or because I am COI it would be better to just wait for the one line that submitted to be reviewed? NAKriss (talk) 02:09, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::{{Tps}} I think enbi is having difficulty replying due to either a lack of time or technical issues. If there is a Wikipedia article ''about'' that award, it is likely that should be sufficient to address the notability concerns per WP:ANYBIO ↗; if not it might still be deemed sufficient. Do I need to Undo my first attempt? ~~~</nowiki> NAKriss (talk) 16:15, 19 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from GamerCaboy (15:50, 24 April 2026)

So apparently I've been blocked indefinitely to edit for supposedly impersonating someone's username..? I literally made a similar version to my roblox one. --GamerCaboy (talk) 15:50, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

:It doesn't look like your account has been blocked to me. Does it say that you specifically are blocked or that your IP address is blocked? <b style="font-family:Trebuchet MS"><span style="color:#E28C00">enbi</span> &#91;<span style="color:#9C59D1">they</span>/<span style="color:#FFC107">them</span>&#93; • &#91;talk&#93;</b> 15:59, 24 April 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @GamerCaboy, sorry yes I blocked the account before noticing that they had transcluded {{noping|enbi}}'s talkpage on theirs, and Twinkle must have somehow picked up your username from that page and generated you a baseless warning along with the actual block warning for the account in question. Question from Donald F Bur (13:43, 1 May 2026)

Enbi,
I've seen, from time to time, a whole page devoted toward a particular book. I've written a few books on Canadian constitutional law, some of which don't get read in their entirety because of their size, and I would like to create a page for these books so that people can get a good sense of what the book does before opening it.

Where do I start? --Donald F Bur (talk) 13:43, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

:{{talk page stalker}} First, I'd advise reading WP:COI ↗ to learn about Wikipedia's conflict-of-interest policies. Next, make sure that the book(s) is/are notable enough. Finally, if the books are notable and have reliable, secondary sources, you can create a draft and submit it at Arcticles for Creation ↗, where it'll be analyzed and possibly accepted. This is a hard decision (talk to me!, contribs ↗) 20:24, 14 May 2026 (UTC)

Semi-protection

Would you still rather this page not be? As they keep harassing even after a rangeblock... ~<span style="color: #800080; font-family: courier new;">Lofty</span> <span style="color: #000000; font-family: courier new;">abyss</span> 19:02, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
:@Lofty abyss From my off-wiki talks with them they currently can't respond to you. There is an issue with the WMF rate limiting IPs and their IP has been affected. <i style="font-family:cursive,Serif;text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #f008;background:linear-gradient(90deg,#fb0,#f0b);-webkit-background-clip:text;-webkit-text-fill-color:#0000">– LuniZunie</i>(talk) 19:24, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
::Hi hi, just saw this on my watchlist - is there anything we can do to help? The recent rate limit changes shouldn't be preventing normal editing using the site, so if they are this could be a bug. — TheresNoTime (talk • they/them) 20:11, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
:::They told me they have emailed multiple times, get unblocked for a short amount of time, and then get IP blocked again (hence the short editing spree yesterday). I told them maybe contact @EMill-WMF but I'm not sure if they ever did. <i style="font-family:cursive,Serif;text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #f008;background:linear-gradient(90deg,#fb0,#f0b);-webkit-background-clip:text;-webkit-text-fill-color:#0000">– LuniZunie</i>(talk) 20:14, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
::::(I told them to contact Eric because I had the same issue a few months back and I contacted Eric and it got fixed--albeit a coincidence I think) <i style="font-family:cursive,Serif;text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #f008;background:linear-gradient(90deg,#fb0,#f0b);-webkit-background-clip:text;-webkit-text-fill-color:#0000">– LuniZunie</i><sub>(talk)</sub> 20:23, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
:::::Well depending on what they/you mean by "blocked" (as in, a wiki block or a rate limit block?), its probably best if they email {{email|ca|wikimedia.org}} for some help if it keeps happening, instead of waiting it out. If it is rate limiting causing this, we'll definitely want to know! {{p}} — TheresNoTime (talk • they/them) 20:35, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
::::::Yes it is rate limiting, and they reached out to ca which is why they got unblocked a few times I believe, however they just keep getting re-ratelimited. <i style="font-family:cursive,Serif;text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #f008;background:linear-gradient(90deg,#fb0,#f0b);-webkit-background-clip:text;-webkit-text-fill-color:#0000">– LuniZunie</i>(talk) 20:36, 2 May 2026 (UTC)
