Question from DabRach17 (06:10, 26 June 2026)

Hello Encoded,

I work for AfrAsia Bank Limited and would like to suggest improvements to the AfrAsia Bank Limited Wikipedia article, as some of the information is outdated.

Since I have a conflict of interest, I understand that I should not make major changes to the article directly. Instead, I intend to propose the changes on the article’s Talk page for independent editors to review.

Could you please walk me through the correct process for doing this?

Thank you,
Rachna --DabRach17 (talk) 06:10, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @DabRach17, absolutely - it is super easy! The best way to do it is via the Edit Requests Wizard ↗ and follow the steps on there. It will complete all of the required actions for you, you just need to say what you'd like to be changed. I'd recommend doing small requests as they tend to be resolved faster, but you can submit as many as you'd like, just make sure to include reliable sources ↗ for any requested changes.
:If you need a review on your first request, or have any more questions, please let me know! Hope this helps, <span style="border:solid #166DF8 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem;">Encoded</span>  <span style="border:solid #FFDE24 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem">Talk 💬</span> 00:00, 7 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ebeny universe (11:51, 3 July 2026)

I want to ask for how I can get some university courses question because I need it.where would I get it --Ebeny universe (talk) 11:51, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

:Hi @Ebeny universe, the best place to go for university information would be that university's Wikipedia page or their website, you can also typically contact the university to ask about their courses directly. I hope this helps! <span style="border:solid #166DF8 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem;">Encoded</span>  <span style="border:solid #FFDE24 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem">Talk 💬</span> 23:57, 6 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from HistoryGatekeeper (13:27, 4 July 2026)

Hello, I have a complex referencing question regarding the 'List of films based on arts books' page. The writer Mark A. Stuart appears in both the Composers and Conductors sections of that page. I am trying to avoid duplicate IMDb citation entries and combine them into a single footnote at the bottom of the page. Could you please advise on the correct, error-free workflow for structuring a single named reference across two separate section edits? Thank you. --HistoryGatekeeper (talk) 13:27, 4 July 2026 (UTC)

:Hey @HistoryGatekeeper, sure! In the toolbar you'll see the Cite button, if you click that and select 're-use', it will let you place an existing reference elsewhere in the article and it will combine them into a single reference in the footnote. That's the easiest way to do it in my opinion, and it does all of the heavy lifting for you. If you need any more pointers or have any other questions please let me know! Hope this helps, <span style="border:solid #166DF8 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem;">Encoded</span>  <span style="border:solid #FFDE24 2px;padding:4px;border-radius:0.3rem">Talk 💬</span> 00:03, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
::Hey @Encoded, thank you for the advice! That is a very useful workflow to know, and it will definitely save me time when creating single footnotes in the future. While I was waiting for your reply, I actually figured out what went wrong with my manual code. I had used the correct syntax—defining the full URL with <nowiki><ref name="IMDb_Stuart">{{cite web|url=https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0835787/?ref_=ttfc_fcr_2_1</ref></nowiki> in the first entry and and reusing it with <nowiki><ref name="IMDb_Stuart" /></nowiki> in the second. The issue was that I edited and published each entry inside separate sections (Composers and Conductors). When I saved the Conductors section on its own, the system scanned it and found the reused tag. Because the actual definition lived outside of the Conductors section and inside the untouched Composers section, the software couldn't see it during that isolated section edit. When I published it, it created an error message, which I overrode because I knew the code was right. This is a true example of a parsing "blindspot"! As a result, the system produced a generic link because it couldn't resolve the name in that isolated moment. The solution was simple: I just republished the entire page as a whole rather than editing the sections individually. Thanks again for your help and for guiding me through the toolbar options! Every day is a learning day! 😄 HistoryGatekeeper (talk) 08:15, 9 July 2026 (UTC)

DipTrace article — COI-disclosed sourcing help needed

Hi Encoded,

I'm the disclosed COI editor for DipTrace (account: Viktor Savenko). On 19 June 2026 I posted independent secondary sources on Talk:DipTrace to address the reliability tag, and separately flagged a weakly-sourced claim (Parallax/EAGLE switch) for removal against my own interest. No uninvolved editor has responded since.

Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:DipTrace

Since I'm not making article edits myself, could you take a look, or point me to someone active in this area who could review and act on it? Happy to clarify anything.

Thanks,
Viktor Savenko (talk) 13:48, 7 July 2026 (UTC)
