Question from Emerson,,3.1459 (07:00, 12 June 2026)
Hi Ellie, how are you doing? I'm wondering how to create a webpage --Emerson,,3.1459 (talk) 07:00, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
:Would you mind elaborating on what you mean? Do you mean an article? If so, could I ask what kind of article you'd be wanting to create? feedmepaperr (talk) 07:04, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from AWannabePilot (20:53, 15 June 2026)
Hello!
I was wondering if you had any particular bits of advice on how to find references easier. I've been trying the medium difficulty suggested articles, but have been finding it exceptionally difficult to find citations for a lot of claims (particular for articles where the subject existed before the internet).
Is there any good tools more experienced editors might use, better places to look, or is it just a task that requires time and effort for each article? --AWannabePilot (talk) 20:53, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
:Unfortunately it really depends on the subject. I find book sources tend to be helpful for older subjects, and you can find those a few different places. Obviously there's Open Library ↗, HathiTrust ↗, Google Scholar ↗, and Google Books ↗, but I'd also check with your local library if possible. After enough contributions you can get access to WP:The Wikipedia Library ↗ which can be helpful, and also gives you free access to Newspapers.com ↗, which is especially helpful for things that may not be important enough to be in a book but are still notable. If there are already sources on the page, it may be worth reading through them and seeing if they cite any other publications, and reading those as well.
:But. And this is important. ''If a claim is uncited and you can't find a source for it, feel free to remove it.'' (or tag it with template:citation needed ↗) The information is still kept in the history logs, and can be recovered easily if a source is found, but everything on Wikipedia needs to be backed up by a source. Cheers, and best of luck, feedmepaperr (talk) 21:43, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
::Alright, thank you! AWannabePilot (talk) 12:10, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
Reverting obvious vandals
If they are obviously going to re-revert over and over, just wait until an admin blocks =) Otherwise, the page history, watchlists, and recent changes get clogged up and it can also feed the trolls ↗. <i style="font-family:cursive,Serif;text-shadow:1px 1px 2px #f008;background:linear-gradient(90deg,#fb0,#f0b);-webkit-background-clip:text;-webkit-text-fill-color:#0000">– LuniZunie</i>(talk) 04:30, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from TheWillWoodFan6135615 (15:06, 16 June 2026)
Hey! I edited the Will Wood page to add one of his movies that wasn't previously listed, but I didn't add a source for that because neither of the other movies had a source listed. I was wondering if I should go back and add one anyway? --TheWillWoodFan6135615 (talk) 15:06, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
:So, anything in the lead section doesn't have to have a citation '''IF''' it's verified later in the body. So, because What Did I Do? isn't mentioned anywhere in the body, a short section about it should be added, likely in the releases section, with sources there. I've also done some general cleanup to that page. Thank you, feedmepaperr (talk) 23:00, 16 June 2026 (UTC)

Pigeon Pit!
Hey Feedmepaperr!
Have come across your work more and more often and I have first to say...very well done! Secondly, so glad to have you here in Washington state as an editor!
Came across your efforts at Pigeon Pit ↗ after some young people in my life told me to listen to them. I added the band to Music of Olympia, Washington ↗ and used the Pitchfork ↗ source you used in the Early days subsection. Only issue is that of the five or six sources I checked for the 2014 formation, none mention the year...oh my! Do you know which of those citations does? I'd like to add the formation year to the list article...but help yourself if you have the time.
Again, thanks for being an editor here and keep up the awesome work. Whatcom County needs it!
OlympiaBuebird (talk) 16:53, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
:Hey OlympiaBuebird, likewise, I always appreciate seeing your work on Washington state articles :)
:I'm glad you're enjoying Pigeon Pit, they're one of my favorite bands. As for the 2014 year, that's from the Seattle Gay News ↗ source, which is accessible via WP:TWL ↗. Just search the name of the article in the search bar and it's the first one that comes up. Thank you, feedmepaperr (talk) 23:28, 17 June 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks for letting me know. Ran out of time today but I'll get on it next week. Have a great weekend!

Question from NorthernOntarioEditor (18:04, 22 June 2026)
i have a video produced about mining in the 1950s discovery, can i upoad the video vignette? --NorthernOntarioEditor (talk) 18:04, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
:You made a video? If all the assets used in the video are of an acceptable license ↗ you could upload it to Commons ↗. I could help walk you through that process if you'd like. If that's not what you meant, could you rephrase the question? Thank you. feedmepaperr (talk) 19:55, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
::Yes , it’s my own production , using my personal editor. NorthernOntarioEditor (talk) 21:37, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
::i just tried to upload the yhe video file and i jhave it as a Mp4 as the format i use with the final cut pro editor. why would you restrict the most common formatt used on the planet? im not downloading another format or convertiver. wikipedia should standardized to the world not the other way around. NorthernOntarioEditor (talk) 21:57, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
:::I agree that it's dumb, feel free to read through Commons:Requests for comment/MP4 Video ↗ for more context as to why we don't do MP4. Unfortunately it seems the only way to upload your video will be to export it as one of those supported file formats or convert it. feedmepaperr (talk) 23:15, 22 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from MellorSTRATA (22:58, 23 June 2026)
:''Note: MellorSTRATA's mentor JayCubby is away.''
Hello,
I think I've buggered up the Jaguar F-Pace's English wikipedia. I've just edited it to add more info due to inaccurate engine data and various omissions in the "Engines" side. It looks normal on the editing screen, however the massive table of engine data sits in the "Safety" section and I cannot get it to move back to the "Engines" section.
Is this because I widened it to 9 columns? That's all I can imagine why.
I do apologise for bothering or asking any silly questions.
Thanks in advance. --MellorSTRATA (talk) 22:58, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
:Looks normal to me? Did you fix it already? feedmepaperr (talk) 23:11, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
::I figured it out, I put a "|-" instead of a "|}" and it made the whole article have a seizure.
::Pardon me! First time doing an edit that isn't just minor spelling corrections. MellorSTRATA (talk) 23:16, 23 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Glad you got it figured out! Tables are... difficult. But that's the nice thing about Wikipedia, everything is fixable :)

Question from Mitskiisamazing (17:47, 28 June 2026)
How do I create a citation? --Mitskiisamazing (talk) 17:47, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:Depends on if you use visual or source editor.
:On visual, there's a button on the top bar that says "cite" and there's some options you go through.
:On source editor, there's a dropdown menu on the top bar that also says cite, but then you have to pick a template from another dropdown menu and fill out the form it creates. For things like webpages there's a little spyglass symbol next to the url box that'll try to autofill the citation for you.
:If you have any further questions feel free to respond to this thread, thank you, feedmepaperr (talk) 20:54, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Different mentor?
Hi, I see you were assigned as my mentor and I would like to see if I can get another one. The reason is I’m not entirely comfortable with you being my mentor. Can you help me find a different person? Thanks! Moistsecretionchurd (talk) 17:53, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ayman123123232 (22:21, 28 June 2026)
So basically a requirement on tikktok is to have a wikipedia page about myself or have multiple webistes about me so can u tell me how to make a page --Ayman123123232 (talk) 22:21, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:Well, are you notable ↗? Most people are not. Establishing notability usually requires multiple published sources about you that are not directly associated with you (not interviews, etc). Even if you were able to establish notability, it is against our guidelines for you to create an article about yourself. Someone ''unassociated with you'' would have to make it. Unfortunately this is unlikely to happen, it may be worth trying to go the other route TikTok suggests. All the best, feedmepaperr (talk) 22:58, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from Hikmat-Maghdid (11:00, 29 June 2026)
Hello. Please check my article Draft:Shaqlawa Technical College. I added international sources to show it is an important college. I have been waiting for a review for a long time. Please review and accept it. Thank you for your help. --Hikmat-Maghdid (talk) 11:00, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
:Looks like it already has been, but for future reference I am unable to review drafts with WP:AFC ↗ as I am not associated with them. feedmepaperr (talk) 20:27, 29 June 2026 (UTC)
::I understand perfectly . Thank you for your help and I wish you all the best .

You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard
Hi, Feedmepaperr. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard ↗! I get the impression that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, as the case may be, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. I think we have a lot to learn from each other, and I know it will make me feel better just having the opportunity to interact with you and other mentors there, and I hope it will for you, too. Look forward to seeing you there! Mathglot (talk) 08:38, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

Question from CaptainCoconut01 (18:18, 5 July 2026)
Hi, I see that you have been assigned to be my mentor, happy to make your acquaintance.
My question is about the “revise tone” task. I got this through the task finder and because the text in question was a quote from a colleague in his field, I wasn’t sure if that counted as promotional.
I ended up not editing the paragraph in question because I wasn’t sure, but did fix a few quotation marks in surrounding paragraphs.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gary_Fila is the page --CaptainCoconut01 (talk) 18:18, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
:Wow that article is a mess and is a bit beyond just "revising tone".
:Let me break it down.
:* There are only two references, neither of which are particularly good. (WP:RS ↗)
:* Two links in the body seem to be placed there as references but are incorrectly formatted.
:* Undue weight for the opinion of this person they're quoting making up a large chunk of the article.
:* No sections.
:* Large amounts of unsourced information in a biography about a living person.
:I'm going to tag this article appropriately, but for now I'd just find a different article to edit. Thanks for your efforts, and welcome to Wikipedia! Cheers, feedmepaperr (talk) 19:01, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
:Ended up just proposing it for deletion. I don't think this guy is notable. feedmepaperr (talk) 19:14, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
::From my admittedly limited understanding of policy I would agree. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it CaptainCoconut01 (talk) 19:29, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
The 2026 Core Contest Winners!
The winners of the 2026 Core Contest ↗ are announced 🎉. A ''huge'' turnout that resulted in one of our trickiest deliberation sessions. The judges ({{noping|Aza24}}, {{noping|Femke}} and {{noping|Casliber}}) would like to thank everybody who joined and congratulate the winners!
- First place (and a prize of £120) goes to {{user|Vigilantcosmicpenguin}} for his dual efforts on Flatbread ↗ and Tortilla ↗! One, formerly an unsourced list-like article, and the other, once a poorly sourced and spotty overview, both now number 250+ citations from an impressively academic source pool. We particularly commend the efforts to globalize content, treat the topics comprehensively and thoughtfully select illustrations. Both articles (one now a GA ↗) are of a uniquely high quality amid the often underserved food topics on Wikipedia. Bravo!
- Second place (and a prize of £100) goes to {{user|Phlsph7}}, a Core Contest regular who has once again shown a mastery of big topics, with his dual efforts on Agnosticism ↗ and Premise ↗—both now GA ↗s (one, with a review by our first place winner!). With immensely thorough sourcing improvements, alongside carefully nuanced text on these often misunderstood topics, both articles are a pleasure to read.
- Third place (and a prize of £80) goes to {{user|MCE89}}, whose improvements to the Heard Island and McDonald Islands ↗ article have led to a triumphant FA ↗ declaration. The incredible balance of detail between human, geographical and flora-fauna elements is a great achievement, and sets a high standard for future island articles.

Question from MyMilkshakesAreBetterThanYours (19:03, 8 July 2026)
If an editor makes an edit that is false or inaccurate, but isn't intentional vandalism, what consequences are there? --MyMilkshakesAreBetterThanYours (talk) 19:03, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:Anything that is disruptive ↗ can be reverted and the user who made that edit can be warned. If they show a pattern of disruptive edits, have ample warnings, and don't show signs of learning from their mistakes, they can be blocked. You won't be blocked if you make a mistake and add something false once or twice, but it is our duty as editors to revert those edits when we see them. Hope that helps, feedmepaperr (talk) 19:28, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
::Thank you, I was feeling anxious that I could face punishment if I unknowingly made a mistake in an edit. MyMilkshakesAreBetterThanYours (talk) 19:32, 8 July 2026 (UTC)
:::Everyone makes mistakes occasionally, we try to only punish the people who have malicious intent (like vandals) or have a long standing pattern of incompetence (WP:CIR ↗), and people who have been blocked generally have recourse (WP:APPEAL ↗). There is no need to be worried if you have good intent while editing. Cheers, feedmepaperr (talk) 19:38, 8 July 2026 (UTC)

:''Note: Modifications organiques's mentor SSR07 is away.''
Hi! I noticed that Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) has rebranded as DataSpring. I added an "Update" tag to the article, but I'm not sure what the next step should be. Should the existing article simply be updated and moved, or would it be appropriate to create a new article for DataSpring? --Modifications organiques (talk) 15:42, 9 July 2026 (UTC)
:So likely what will happen is that the page will be move ↗d, the article's current title will be redirected to that new page, and then the page will be edited to reflect the new name.
:I've put in a move request on the talk page, and if/when it's moved (likely in a few days) we can go in and clean it up.
