Runs scored/tiebreaker on MLB rivlaries

Hi Frank, I was adding the tiebreakers to all those MLB rivalry pages to keep consistent with the Lone Star Series ↗ page, which already had those descriptors there. Would something as simple as "X team outscores X ##–##", and not mentioning the word "tiebreaker" be a worthwhile addition? <b style="color:#3A58AF">Spesh531</b><b style="color:#58AF3A">(talk</b>, <b style="color:#AF3A58">contrib.</b> ↗, <b style="color:#ADADAD">ext.)</b> 18:16, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
:No. There is no need for this content in MLB rivalry pages. The Lone Star Series ↗ is an exception as it awards a trophy to the team that wins each season series and stipulates total runs as the first tiebreaker. This is not common among other MLB rivalries. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color: #FF8200;">Frank</span> <span style="color: #58595B;">Anchor</span>'''</span> 18:23, 1 April 2024 (UTC)

::These tables are NOT the place to use retro colors. The purpose of the rivalry tables is to quickly identify which team won a game and/or a season series. I wanted to thank you for the ping to the deletion review, it’s always nice to be consulted for something rather than cut out of the process. I see the review was closed due to socking, in point of fact that and the repeated recreation are the reasons the title is currently salted and requires admin access to unsalt: too many accounts trying to push the actor on here when we’ve already said no - repeatedly. What to do for Olympian biographies that were deleted without an ATD being accepted

Hi @Frank Anchor, thanks for your great work suggesting WP:ATD ↗s at AfD discussions.

It seems like you're of the opinion that Olympian biographies should generally be converted to redirects instead of being deleted. These are the benefits I can think of in doing that:

# to preserve page history
# to preserve categories
# to preserve Special:WhatLinksHere ↗ structured data
# to preserve inter-language links and other data in the linked Wikidata item

There are at least dozens, and probably hundreds (I haven't got around to counting them all yet) of Olympian biographies that have been deleted for various reasons, these are the four most common I can think of:

# Expired PROD
# Created by a banned/blocked user ({{tl|db-g5}})
# Nominated at AfD and no ATD was ever proposed
# Nominated at AfD, an ATD was proposed, and it was rejected

I'm curious what you think we can do about these cases. I have the technical means to create a near-complete list of deleted Olympian biographies but I suspect a WP:REFUND ↗ would be rejected due to the size. If I just recreated them one-by-one as redirects and re-linked them to Wikidata, we could get benefits #2-4 while only losing benefit #1. Would you support this?

I think there is a case to be made that there's utility in having redirects for each modern Olympian and that utility could override AfD results where ATDs were not proposed or rejected. --Habst (talk) 18:07, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
::Hi Habst. I agree with you on the benefits to having these redirects over deletion, which is why I have been a strong proponent of redirect as an ATD. I am not overly concerned about the history not being present in newly created redirects, as in most (not all) cases the page history is trivial (especially all of the WP:LUGSTUBS ↗ that were created and deleted). Any redirects that are created would be subject to a deletion/retargeting discussion at WP:RFD ↗ but specifically not subject to WP:G4 ↗ speedy deletion as a redirect is not even close to being {{tq|substantially identical}} to the article that was deleted. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color: #FF8200;">Frank</span> <span style="color: #58595B;">Anchor</span>'''</span> 18:29, 23 July 2025 (UTC)

Correction of Inaccurate Viewership Figures and Misuse of Source

Your recent edits listing 24.882 million viewers for Game 7 (plus 1.01 million Spanish-language viewers) have been removed because the figures are incorrect and misleading. The cited source, Programming Insider, did not report complete viewership data for the game. As confirmed by the site’s owner, their figures only covered the broadcast up to 11:00 PM ET, while the game continued past midnight.
The accurate, full-game average viewership—verified by Nielsen and the official Fox Sports press release—is 26.88 million. Please ensure future edits are based on complete, verifiable, and primary data sources to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the article. &#126;2025-31552-04 ↗ (talk) 23:50, 8 November 2025 (UTC)

NFL ties

: I'm wondering if you can clarify a recent change you made to List of NFL tied games ↗. The edit confuses me but you have edited this page more than I have so I may be missing something. In the list of ties from 2025-present, you changed 'in the {{nfly|2025}} season' to 'through week 18 of the {{nfly|2025}} season'. Since Week 18, now completed, was the final week of the 2025 season, I'm not sure why we would use language that suggests the season is still in progress. Of course we still have the playoffs to go, but the text also says we are focused only on regular season games, and it is also reasonable to expect no ties in the playoffs. Am I missing something that causes you to use language to suggest the season is only partially complete? Dash77 (talk) 19:57, 8 January 2026 (UTC)

::Fair point. In previous seasons, the prose was always “through week X of the Y season,” even during the offseason. However replacing with “through the end of the 2025 season” would be fine as well. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color: #FF8200;">Frank</span> <span style="color: #58595B;">Anchor</span>'''</span> 02:44, 9 January 2026 (UTC)

I just wanted to ask about the redirect for the Broncos-Patriots rivalry article. I've came across several sources that discuss the Broncos-Patriots rivalry as "renewed" beyond the Tom Brady-Peyton Manning era, particularly in the context of Bo Nix and Drake Maye and the 2025 AFC Championship Game.

Sources: https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/pats-broncos-reignites-an-nfl-rivalry-for-new-generation-of-qbs/ar-AA1UUn9D ↗https://www.denverpost.com/2026/02/15/bo-nix-drake-maye-afc/ ↗https://www.denvergazette.com/2026/01/23/from-bailey-to-brady-broncos-patriots-renew-unforgettable-playoff-rivalry/ ↗https://www.denvergazette.com/2025/12/04/mark-kiszla-could-nix-and-maye-become-the-manning-brady-rivalry-that-broncos-country-has-been-missing/ ↗

Do you think these newer sources warrant restoring the standalone article, or would it be better to wait until broader coverage develops before revisiting the possibility of a restoration?

Thanks. Ccai2053 (talk) 04:07, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
::I voted “keep” in the AFD, so I believe there already was enough in the article. However there was consensus to not keep the article. Personally, I think the references here would do little to change consensus, but you are welcome to take the last version from the article history and add to it in draft space, then move it over to mainspace space directly or go through the WP:AFC ↗ process. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color: #FF8200;">Frank</span> <span style="color: #58595B;">Anchor</span>'''</span> 21:17, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Okay and I did make some edits to the article before it got redirected. How would I add to it in draft space and then move it over to mainspace space or go through the WP:AFC ↗ process? Ccai2053 (talk) 00:24, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
::::Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I copied and pasted the most recent version to Draft:Broncos–Patriots rivalry ↗. Please feel free to edit that page as you see fit, and it can be moved to mainspace either through the WP:AFC ↗ process or by simply moving it yourself when you feel it is ready. <span style="font-family: Trebuchet MS;">'''<span style="color: #FF8200;">Frank</span> <span style="color: #58595B;">Anchor</span>'''</span> 15:45, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
