25px|alt=Information icon ↗ Please do not add or change content, as you did at :Miss Arizona's Teen ↗, without citing a reliable source ↗. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources ↗ to see how to add references to an article. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 10:56, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
30px|alt=Stop icon ↗ You may be '''blocked from editing ↗ without further warning''' the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced ↗ material to Wikipedia. '''''Please stop your disruptive editing.''''' Magnolia677 (talk) 12:01, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:It’s really not that serious. If someone else comes on here and adds the same information I was trying to, you can’t just block everyone lmao. And I do not think I was disruptive editing. I was just trying to add new information as I have been doing for other titleholders. Why are you trying to take control of the Miss Arizona’s Teen site? Imtoocool4you (talk) 13:15, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::It is. We treat Wikipedia content, especially about living people, as a serious thing. You've had enough warnings. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 13:28, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::Look at my unblock request please. I explain the reason for using “unsourced sources”. I honestly didn’t mean any harm, I later go back and add sources (such as news article) if news outlets even releases them. I definitely remember doing this for Miss Alabama and Miss Alabama’s as not only did they confirm via social media, but also numerous news outlets confirmed as well, but unfortunately, most don’t release news coverage on their newly crowned state titleholders which is why I turn to social media as they will likely have it on there. Though, I am aware that Wikipedia doesn’t always see this as “reliable” which is why I don’t really source. Hope you’ll be able to understand. Again, all of my information is correct and I would never put anything false, if this is a concern. Imtoocool4you (talk) 13:55, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::::I meant to put "Miss Alabama’s Teen" but you probably get it. Also, I know I made this new account 9 months ago but I have been editing on Wikipedia for a long time, I know what I’m doing. I don’t know why when I added Miss Arizona’s Teen, that I was flagged. Imtoocool4you (talk) 13:58, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::One last thing, I only had one warning. Not even three. Another editor just told me to stop using “unsourced sources” and that I could be blocked, and that was it. I understand, though. Imtoocool4you (talk) 14:02, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::::I assume you have forgotten about the warnings from March above. Anyway, responding to a final warning with "it's really not that serious" and continuing after this warning dismissal would have been problematic enough even without the warning history. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:12, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::Oh yes, you just reminded me. I saw the warning at the time in March and I respected it by not editing on the page anymore and cited. And I apologize for putting “It’s really not that serious”, I was just trying to make the conversation more lighthearted but I hope I didn’t offend anyone. The reason I have not be citing sources my past few edits is because once a new state titleholder is announced via the official state organization's page, I would just edit their information on the page immediately and go back to cite later when a news article comes out (one that Wikipedia sees as reliable), again, I didn’t mean any harm and I understood what I did. Imtoocool4you (talk) 14:33, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::Okay. Can you provide an example of where you went back to cite later when a news article came out? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:39, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::I read all of your messages, and I do understand. I also understand if you do not want to unblock me. But, if you do, I promise I will be sure to only edit and cite sources if they reliable news sources (as I did for Alabama and Louisiana). But, I have a genuine question, say if a state winner doesn’t have any news sources to cite, but the official state organization website has all of their information related to their crowning, would this be a reliable source to cite? I hope this makes sense.

And to answer your question, I remember when I edited in Miss Louisiana’s Teen information immediately after I saw that she won on social media (I understand now that social media isn’t a reliable source for Wikipedia). The next day, I searched for more information regarding her and found numerous and reliable news articles (KNOE, KTBS 3, KTVE, Yahoo) so I went back and cited them as they provided more information regarding her win, her talent, and hometown. Imtoocool4you (talk) 14:49, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::But I will be honest, sometimes, I get a little busy in life that I forget to go back and cite reliable sources. For example, I now see that the new Miss Georgia and Miss Georgia’s Teen have numerous news articles. So if I am given a second chance (but I do understand what I did wrong), those two will likely be the first I go back to edit and cite correctly this time. Imtoocool4you (talk) 14:53, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::Special:Diff/1348730265 ↗ is a rare sight actually adding references to content. Thanks! Can you promise to wait for reliable news sources and to cite them in the same edit that adds the content? No more early social-media-based reporting, no more additions about living people without at least one reference directly supporting the added content? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 16:44, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
:::::::::Yes! Next time, I will wait instead of immediately editing. Sorry for the inconvenience. Imtoocool4you (talk) 19:30, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
::::::::::Thank you very much and welcome back. No worries. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:49, 28 June 2026 (UTC)

Unblock request
{{Unblock reviewed|decline=In other words, you know that your sources are poor, so you don't mention them, because you think it's better to have unsourced information than information supported by blatantly poor sources. Wow.
You said in an earlier comment {{tq|"I have been editing on Wikipedia for a long time, I know what I’m doing."}} If this is your understanding of "knowing what you're doing", then it clearly wouldn't be safe to unblock you. The road to getting unblocked starts by acknowledging and genuinely understanding the problem, so that you can avoid repeating the problematic behaviour going forward. DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:14, 28 June 2026 (UTC)|1=I was infinitely blocked for “persistent unsourced sources” and “disruptive editing” when all I am doing is adding new information about Miss America and Miss America’s Teen state titleholders. My sources often come from social media; with the titleholders name, talent, and other information being officially confirmed by the state organization on Instagram or Facebook. I do not usually source those as Wikipedia doesn’t always view it was a “reliable source.” But I still do use those as my sources because it’s been confirmed from the Official State Organization and I would never edit false information. My secondary sources are from the local or state organization’s websites after the state titleholders wins (which can take up to weeks for the organization to update). I stay up to date on social media as I like to put the new state titleholder winners immediately so nobody will have to worry about it later. If you will keep me permanently blocked, I at least ask of the moderators of Wikipedia to keep the edits I have made as those are confirmed and official. I understand why other editors thought I was being disruptive or not using sources, but I had edited all of the Miss America state titleholders for the past few months and I did use actual news sources for some of the state titleholders if they released one. Some states don’t release cite worthy news articles on their state winner which is why looking at the official state organization’s social media had turned into my #1 source. Imtoocool4you (talk) 13:48, 28 June 2026 (UTC)}}
The logic behind this is absurd. Either your sources are reliable or they are not. You may not add content from unreliable sources. Not naming your unreliable sources doesn't make them more reliable. If you have reliable sources, then cite them. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:06, 28 June 2026 (UTC)
- I've been through about a hundred of your edits, and the problem is that ''none'' of them provide any source, not even the WP:PRIMARY ↗ ones that you say you're using as a source. Randomly spot-checking older edits indicate that this isn't a new problem. Sources ''must'' be provided, per WP:V ↗, which isn't a suggestion but a Wikipedia policy. And when you've been asked about this, you have been repeatedly dismissive about proper sourcing https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Magnolia677&diff=prev&oldid=1361515927 ↗. Adding factual information that is unsourced has '''zero''' value on Wikipedia, and giving your personal assurance that you would never add false content is not a substitute for sourcing information properly.
:Admins (we do not have moderators on Wikipedia) do not have special powers to make content decisions, and nobody has the power to decide for other members of the community whether content will be kept or not. Many of your edits have already been reverted. If you are to come back, you're going to have to take sourcing far more seriously. You don't "go back" and add sources later; either include a proper citation with the content or don't make the edit at all. So yes, it really is that serious, and no, your experience on Wikipedia has not resulted in you understanding how sourcing works on Wikipedia. CoffeeCrumbs (talk)
