Friendly advice
You might get some people cranky at you for editing a statement at WP:AN/I ↗ after it's been replied to. Best practice is to do what I did down-thread and to <s>strike through</s> anything you are deleting with a new comment appended (with a new time code) to add additional statements. That's actually best practice in all discussions on WP as it makes it easier for editors to follow the flow of the conversation without looking at diffs but on AN/I this requirement is somewhat heightened. Simonm223 (talk) 13:22, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
:Ah, I see. Thank you ''very much'' for the advice.
:I really didn't <s>to</s> expect ending up in AN/I, having only 1 edit conflict with the discussed editor. 海盐沙冰 (talk) 13:33, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
::I've run into them rather a lot this summer. I think they really should reexamine how they relate to other editors. Wikipedia isn't social media but it's still social and we won't work as a project if we're constantly insulting each other. Simonm223 (talk) 14:02, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
:::It takes some time for me to remember (and implement) your advice haha, I'm probably too used to instant messaging apps and thought all the timestamps get updated automatically. :) 海盐沙冰 / irisChronomia / Talk 19:56, 18 September 2025 (UTC)
Civility
Hi. Regarding Tachyon ↗, I just want to encourage you to treat all newcomers with extra civility ↗, no matter what aspect of Wikipedia they are struggling with. I'm also trying to encourage myself in this direction as I am especially prone to react to posts that degrade Wikipedia. Outsiders think Wikipedia editing is much easier than it turns out to be. Johnjbarton (talk) 16:06, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
:Yeah I get you. I'm just sick of self-promotion stuff and having all of us spending our precious unpaid time to explain everything to them... I really wanted a clearer way to tell them to leave.
:Thanks for reminding me, though. I really need to learn to stay calm.
:Cheers :) 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 16:41, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
Your addition of content to Disorganized schizophrenia
Considering the unrelenting vandalism, where different accounts originating in Algeria have edited the article in question to include specific content, I would like to ask you about the content you added in this https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Disorganized_schizophrenia&diff=prev&oldid=1329046871 ↗ edit. This is because I don't fully agree that the source cited at the end of the big added paragraph actually supports the specific symptoms listed. Specifically, it concerns this sentence: "Examples in disorganized schizophrenia may include repetitive behavior such as stimming, grimacing, joking, mirror gazing, health complaining, utterance of profanity, exposing one's body in public spaces, inappropriate body contact, and urination outside socially acceptable areas (bathrooms)." Thank you for any input. BlockArranger (talk) 20:42, 1 January 2026 (UTC)
:Yeah I was just trying to make the diff immediately prior to my edit somewhat readable / sound like an encyclopedia; I'm not actually trying to came up with anything new there.
:The prior diff seems to have problem with overly graphical depictions of patient behaviours, so my edit basically WP:SYNTHESIS ↗ed that sentence to make it milder.
:Thank you for reminding me of this; I don't think this is a good diff at all. Please feel free to just restore the sentence back to what it was like before :) 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 05:01, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
Close
Hi! I closed the ANI section after they got indeffed. I don't think revdel is really necessary in this case (the only place that nonsense is visible is in the page history), but if you want you can of course request revision deletion using these instructions ↗. Thanks for reporting! Polygnotus (talk) 12:35, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
:And thank ''you'' for keeping Wikipedia alive and healthy! :) 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 16:41, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Proposal to include NYBOLE Rule 6000.13 regarding applicant misconduct
Hi, I noticed you reverted my recent edit regarding New York Board of Law Examiners (NYBOLE) Rule 6000.13. I understand the concern about talking about specific firms; my intention was actually to highlight the '''regulatory rules''' for bar applicants, as the article already mentions New York's educational requirements.
I’d like to propose re-adding a shortened version that focuses purely on the official board rule and citing the official NYBOLE website directly (https://www.nybarexam.org/Rules/Rules.htm#6000.13 ↗) rather than any secondary legal site. This seems relevant as 'Legal Ethics' begins at the admission stage. What do you think of this version?
''<nowiki/>'The New York Board of Law Examiners (NYBOLE) enforces ethical standards for applicants under Board Rule 6000.13, which allows for the nullification of exam results or disqualification for misconduct during the admission process.'' M4344459 (talk) 23:43, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
:This reads much better, thank you for taking your time with the proposal :).
:This seems like a nice example for an article about legal ethics; I'd personally want to create a new subsection on BAR exams, and write something in the realm of "BAR, is [some description]. Like many other exams, BAR examinees are expected to complete the test without cheating. For example, [...]" and followed by your text, so lay person understand the relevancy between it and legal ethics in general. 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 15:42, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
:I've added your proposal to the article (with some other copyediting that might be problematic, as I know nothing about practicing law). Feel free to change my edit as you see fit. :) 海盐沙冰 / aka irisChronomia / Talk 15:57, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
::Thanks. Appreciate it! M4344459 (talk) 22:46, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
Draft:False-Correction Loop ↗
I have closed the request at DRN ↗ for various reasons, including that DRN is not the right forum to discuss draftification of an article. I suggest discussion at the Teahouse ↗, where experienced editors may give useful advice.

Mobile Twinkle
FYI I recently found out there's a patch to get Twinkle to work on mobile - User:Plantaest/TwinkleMobile. Neither
Minor grammatical point: your edit summary here ↗ is mistaken (though the edit is right). The reason "neither" takes a singular is that "neither" = "neither one", so with a verb it's "neither [one of them] is". When the subject is a collection of size zero, it takes a plural: "None are" (= "None [of them] are"). --JBL (talk ↗) 17:35, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

IvyWise
Thanks for the thoughtful discussion in this AfD. FWIW, I share your skepticism about corporate articles and think they're often excessively promotional. In this case, I think there's enough coverage for someone to write a more balanced page discussing criticism of IvyWise and the industry it's part of. pburka (talk) 16:04, 26 February 2026 (UTC)

Temporary account IP viewer granted
right|80px|alt=The temporary account IP viewer logo, composed of the Wikipedia globe with a user and an IP address ↗
Hello, IrisChronomia. Per your request, your account has been <span class="plainlinks">granted ↗</span> {{mono|temporary-account-viewer}} rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts ↗ that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is <strong>only</strong> to be used to aid in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer ↗ for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy ↗.
- Access <strong>must not</strong> be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat against another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP address ↗es (using the CIDR notation ↗ format).

An hour of work just vanished because I pressed the "resolve edit conflict" key and messed something up. I just wanted to die. Caffeine is amplifying all my emotions, and every single one of them right now is of the colour of a crimson abyss.
